I’m as big a fan of socialism as the next, commie, pinko liberal, but state liquor control? C’mon! Not even Soviet Russia had this level of control.
I hate that I can’t reliably get things, the prices aren’t market driven, and they keep Costco from selling me 5 gallon jugs of Grey Goose or Knob Creek!

So, I must admit living in a state that requires all liquor and hard spirits retail sales to be done in state run stores is a new experience for me. I’m not really keen on it as it means that prices are not really market driven and there’s no good specialty places like you can find back east…
But there’s one huge plus side, at least the way they do it out here: If you’re looking for any sort of semi-​uncommon bottle of something, through their website you can actually search the whole state-​wide system and find out which stores have it in stock and how many units they have available. How cool is that?
