Washington State Department of Revenue

The gentleman in the downtown Seattle office went above and beyond his duties. Helped us renew our business license, also helped us with Washington state tax info and applying for a resellers permit. So friendly and knowledgeable. We had the best experience. Great to know our tax dollars were well at work!

Since I registered a small non-​profit in Washington State, I have called twice to the 1800 number. I think I have gotten the same guy (I would like to think so). Anyways everytime I call, I do it out of desperation.
I don’t know how to fill out the quarterly tax form.
The form is orange and black– a bit overwhelming, like a spreadsheet on steroids.
There are soo many lines for different things, I feel like if I eff up that I will be audited. When I look at it, I am like there’s no way that I am interested enough to research what I am doing, so I call.
When I call, I feel stupid and lazy for not googling it, but the guy on the other end is always friendly… SUPER friendly, and doesn’t make me feel like a moron.
I have filed twice now. First time: there was no money generated, and he took care of it without me filling out the form, and the second: he told me that we make little money and would get a tax credit, AND told me which lines I had to fill out.
Calling is like the audio equivalent of reading Ikea directions.
I also checked out the new website. It’s pretty user friendly.
