History
Established in 2009.
I began my career over twenty years ago as a traditional physical therapist, working with orthopedic patients. I became interested in manual therapy as a way to evaluate and treat the causes of pain and dysfunction, instead of just applying modalities to temporarily reduce the symptoms. My studies have included osteopathic techniques and training at the Upledger Institute and the Barral Institute. I became increasingly aware of the need to treat the body as a whole, recognizing that many old injuries, surgeries, emotional traumas and diseases can create a variety of dysfunctions and symptoms that are interrelated. I learned that evaluating and treating the entire system provides a much more effective and longer lasting response, and I was able to help people who had not benefitted much from traditional physical therapy. I created this practice so that I could spend quality time with my patients, one on one, and give them the attention they need to heal.
