Rosa is the best! I’ve been going to her for cuts and color for about two years and she never disappoints. She knows what she’s doing and is very knowledgeable about all things hair-​related. I’m never afraid to try a new color or cut because I trust her with my hair. I can honestly say she’s the best hairdresser I’ve ever been to.

Picked this place because of the reviews and was so happy I did! Scheduled an appointment an hour beforehand and Natalie did my hair. It was the first salon I’ve visited in OKC and it was very nice inside and many stylists on duty. Natalie did just what I wanted and I love it. My husband also got his hair colored! He loved it as well! Will definitely go again.

I always procrastinate when it comes to getting my hair cut, until the very last minute before I need to have it looking nice for an event or something. Shelby always takes care of me, even when it’s last minute! She even came in early to accommodate my work schedule – seriously, how nice is that?! Not to mention she does a fantastic job. I have long, straight, fine hair and she always makes it look great!

Complete disaster for me! Be very careful of the stylist you choose. I arrived with a clear idea of what I needed — a cut that I have had many times, yet I left with one of the worst haircuts of my life.
One of my friends jokingly asked me if I had done something to piss off the stylist. «Not to my knowledge,» I said. When your girlfriend says your hair looks terrible, you know you’ve been in the wrong hands. When I complained to the stylist later in the day she was nothing short of hostile.
Like a kid, I came home after my appointment and cried. And cried. All I wanted was to feel good about my hair and I left feeling very ugly. My hair grows very slow, so this is going to be a long, painful year.

I’ve been here twice now, both cuts by the immensely talented and wonderfully friendly Lucy, and I’m completed set on this place now. While I hesitate to describe myself in a way that makes me seem vain, I’m incredibly picky about where I get my haircut. I give lots of points for friendliness and atmosphere (I love it when haircut places have real artwork on the walls and give you a drink!), nothing beats a real, quality cut. Lucy knows not just how to give you the look you want, but makes great recommendations and explains a lot about how to achieve a result from and better way to fix my hair. She’s a good conversationalist too and I feel like she was actually interested in getting to know her clients. Thanks, Lucy!
So, you can get a great cut and style here. They do have the artwork and modern feel, but as far as I know no glass of wine with your session… yet. It’s walkable from downtown, as well.

I came here a few days ago, and went to Natalie. I had extremely dead ombré hair, and I asked her to darken it up a little and cut it into a lob. And I have never been more satisfied with a haircut in my entire life. She did a fantastic job, and she’s super sweet and friendly. I definitely recommend her to anyone who’s in need of anything hair related.

Never been here before… Just needed a trim and Chelbi was great! Very personal and knew exactly what I needed without really having to explain it to her. Great environment. Perfect location. Cute salon.

I would not recommend Tracy to anyone who values customer service whatsoever. She is very unprofessional and doesn’t communicate with her clients.
I texted her for an appointment and it took a week to get back to me. I tip 40−50% of my haircut. Last time I tipped $ 10 on a $ 20 cut. She doesn’t respond whatsoever to texts and I am even a new client.
When I missed my second appointment because I received no sort of reminder, she didn’t inform me that I would be charged $ 10 when I showed up for my following appointment as a «penalty». I received no reminder of my appointment and she did not inform me that I even missed an appointment.
The fact that she expects people to be in constant communication but takes from Sunday to Friday to reply to a text is a ridiculous double standard. As far as the quality of the cut, it was decent, but one that I «hoped would improve over time» if I were to continue. Don’t go to her if you want a good experience.

Mattie was great! Salon under construction, but no problems.
We drove into OKC Friday afternoon after a week of visiting friends, family, & the Texas State Fair. Many, many miles, several different hotels, hot weather, cool weather, tired of traveling & on our way to another event for a Director’s meeting. I just didn’t want to have anything to do with my hair. Fortunately my daughter was with us and being a Unilocal Director for Austin, checked out hair salons & found one close & easy to get to with great reviews! As luck would have it, Mattie had just had a cancellation so I stepped right in. She was young, sweet & did a great job on my hair.
She was also helpful introducing me to the really nice people of OKC, which is actually a big city with a small town attitude. Great place!

The stylists were very sweet and listen to what you want. My cousin and I made appointments a day ahead which they fit us right in. I got Kodie and she got Rosa, whom I both recommend! They did an amazing job! We both left happy with our new cuts! :)

I have curly hair but wear it straight and curly (most people dnt know what to do with it). Went there for the first time today and got a cut from A Hawkins… LOVED IT! She was awesome and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. Super friendly staff and open and super cute salon! Definitely get your hair styled here!!! I’ll be coming back for sure!!!

Very disappointed! Went for my first time after seeing such great reviews. Made an appointment with Heather for noon. Arrived 5 minutes early and receptionist couldn’t find my appointment (apparently they don’t have a master book). She called around and discovered that Heather forgot she had my appointment and was supposed to be in at 11 that morning and was still not in. I waited and when she finally arrived she took a walk in before me. The receptionist put me in with another girl as I was on a limited time with a babysitter at home and was obviously frustrated that I was being treated so poorly. The girl who eventually did my hair was very nice but JUST graduated from beauty school and obviously had no clue what she was doing. I paid $ 40 for a haircut that is uneven (had to tell the girl the right said was significantly longer than the left side) and looks like I went to Great Clips. I would suggest this place get a master book so that appointments don’t get lost and that they work on their customer service. I never even received an apology or acknowledgment from Heather!

I really loved this place. It was quiet when I walked in, no ridiculously loud music. It was nicely decorated and they worked really heard to keep the place clean. My stylist was Nichole she was very sweet and knew what she was doing. It cost me $ 80 for a wash, cut, color and style. I will definitely be going again. The only thing I had trouble with was parking, it was limited and there was a 2 hour limit. Don’t forget to check out «Keep it Local» if you have the card you get 15% off your first time.

Awesome salon! The stylists are great and my haircut was excellent. I had Stephanie and she was nice, chatty and did a great job. Will go back for sure!!!

I am HAPPY! This is my first time at SissorTale Salon and I’ll be back! Kodie did a fantastic job of listening to what I wanted and executing my cut and color. She knows what she is doing! I have total trust in her after 1 visit! She is so nice and really good at what she does!
The salon is clean, has a cool vibe and is in a great location. They participate in Keep It Local OK and H&8^th Night Market on the last Friday of each month March through September. What’s not to like? They take both Walk-in’s and appointments. Go try your next new salon!

After expensive haircuts in Boston (at least $ 65 and up), I am so happy to be back in a place where haircuts are more manageable. Ladies, for $ 40 you get your hair washed, cut, blow-​dried and styled. And of course, great conversation with a stylist. I came really early one morning, but the girls here were still bubbly and nice. Rosa was my stylist and she really listened to what I needed and made sure I was happy along the way. I haven’t tried out other salons in OKC, but I will definitely be coming back here in the future.

I recently moved back to OKC and was so glad to find a new salon had opened! Walk-​ins are welcome, but I decided to book a same day appointment just because I was being spontaneous and wanted to change up my hair a bit.
I have a mohawk, and the long part is about shoulder length. I asked to keep the length, thin and taper the bottom and add some swoop bangs and Kodie worked her magic on me. I love the cut and she was really fun to talk to. She didn’t mind going back and thinning more and also re-​doing the bangs to make them shorter. The cut was $ 40, and as someone who gets a cut 2 – 3 times a year max, that was fine with me.
I will be back, for sure! Ask for Kodie!

Ashley is a great hair stylist! This week I was on the road and needed a haircut badly. This always makes me nervous, as I have had quite a few bad haircuts. So I went to my Unilocal app, looked up OKC salon and saw Ashley’s positive feedback. The bottom line is she did a fantastic job, friendly, and most importantly listened to what I wanted! Ashley I will be back again.

Will definitely continue to come back here. Recently moved from Norman to OKC and needed a new place to get my hair fixed. Very spacious salon, clean and everyone seems respectful of each other. Ashley Terry has taken care of me first time and I know that I’ve got some really stubborn hair to deal with, and also recently went from fairly dark to blonde blonde. She was patient and encouraging the whole time. Other people in the salon were also very nice and friendly. Great location too. Ashley mentioned to me how some people getting their hair dyed will go next door all foiled up to Ludivine for a cocktail. Not a bad idea if I didn’t think I’d feel too goofy. They also have started having pop-​up shops during H&8^th!
