Visit with Dr. Phillips yesterday was super informative! Optical 101 info course was extremely unexpected and lovely. Staff was speedy and smiley! Recommend this clean and classy docs office! Plenty of specs to choose from in their shop as well.

Dr. Joe Phillips has been my eye doctor since he first started in the profession. He is very thorough, professional and yet personal and caring. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new optometrist.

This clinic is a benchmark of quality.
Everyone from the front desk staff to the optometrist to the optician were phenomenal. They use the latest technology for eye evaluation (i.e. no dilation) and are highly skilled at what they do.
My exam with Dr. Forrester was very thorough and he is extremely cordial and easy going. He went over my retinal images with me in detail and really focused in on overall eye health.
Their frame selection is outstanding with high end brand names at affordable prices.
And as if that wasnt enough, they were punctual (my appointment started right on time) and a complete first time evaluation and frame purchase took a grand total of 45 minutes from walking in to walking out.
Really, really, outstanding.

I loved how my doctor explained everything to me and my husband. I also enjoy that when I order contacts, I’m able to pick them up the next day!

Just had my second visit to see Dr Joseph Phillips, and this place is great!
Pros:
— They got my in to my appointment 10 minutes early.
— Dr Phillips has a great personality and is fun to chat with (as is the rest of the staff).
— They embrace newer technologies when checking out your eyes (yay for no dilatation!). I’m not sure why other reviews are complaining about a $ 30 charge for the optomap retinal exam service… its absolutely worth it not having to get your eyes dilated and then have to deal with that for a few hours. Also, the cost of that was included in my exam price and was not an extra fee.
— They are great at explaining how VSP works and what it covers.
— I never felt like I was trying to be up-​sold on frames/​lenses/​contacts even when I told them budget was not an issue.
— I ordered a years worth of contacts, but they still gave me a pair for free while I wait for the order to come in. For someone as blind as me, it was really nice to have contacts to wear while trying on frames.
Cons:
— At check-​in the receptionist seemed to be having an awful day and greeted me accordingly
— The selection of frames could be bigger… although I had no time finding something I loved.

Not fond of the sales tactics of this place at all, outside of that, it’s an ok place.
When I walked in, I was immediately acknowledged by staff, filled out the obligatory medical paperwork, and someone called me back soon after. The usual eye tests were performed. The last test, the eye tech gave me 2 options. To have a picture of the back of my eye taken, and it will be an extra 30 $ or eye drops, causing light sensitivity and other side effects for the next 4 – 6 hours, at no extra cost, as it’s covered by my health insurance. I didn’t have the money in my budget to pay the $ 30 but I had other things to do today using my eyes, therefore I begrudgingly agreed to the $ 30 upsale.
Dr Pitt was very knowledgeable, and was pretty good about communicating everything. The 30 $ picture that I paid for? It was used for 30 secs. It seemed pointless to forfeit a weeks worth of gas money or lunch money. Afterwards when I opted for a pair of glasses, I was assisted by an optician. He advised me that he would look over my insurance and see what they’d pay for. Meanwhile, I could look over the frames, try a few on. When he came back over, he didn’t mention my insurance and recommended a few expensive Ralph Lauren frames. I asked how much my insurance paid, he gave me the amount. Of the 400 frames they had on display, only 5 fit into they price range, and I have great insurance with a fortune 500 company. They should really have more options for people that don’t want to spend 200 $+ on a pair of frames. I found a pair covered by my insurance, and the optician gave me a bill for 155 $. I asked what does that include, as my copay is 20 $, I’ve agreed to that eye picture for 30 $, it should only be 50 $. He explained that Dr. Pitt preferred that I get non shatter, non glare lenses with a few other thing, and the basic lenses are not recommended. No. Give me the basic.
This place had the climate of a used car dealership. I’m cancelling my glasses order first thing tomorrow, and wont be back. Avoid this place.

My wife had eye surgery and was liking t get new glasses and contacts. Dr Pitt was do thorough! No one had ever tried that hard to get her the right contacts!

I don’t have a go-​to optometrist here in the city so I went with recommendations through co-​workers and Unilocal (of course). I somehow cut the cornea of my right eye and had to see someone ASAP. It was probably the worst few days of my life because I don’t wear glasses and my right eye just so happens to be the visually handicapped one.
The latest appointment they have is 4:30 so naturally I had to take it. I met with Dr. Pitt who was super nice and helpful. He prescribed some medication, explained how to use each and sent me off to the check out desk. I wasn’t sure if my insurance covered the cost of vision, but the lady submitted a claim anyway. Lucky she did that because I got some money back!
My only reservation was the fact that he charged me for the follow up office visit. I should have asked if the follow up appointment was even necessary, but he made it seem like I should come back regardless if my condition got better. I’m not made of money and am saving for a wedding so that kind of sucked. If you do visit this place, make sure you ask about the costs up front before dropping by.

This has been my eye doctor since I moved to OKC 3 ½ years ago and after scouring the entire OKC Metro area for an eye doctor with the best selection of funky frames, this is the place I chose and they have not let me down yet! The doctor is always quick and thorough and the selection of glasses is fabulous!
I am a bit of a glasses glutton and last time I bought 3 pairs because I couldn’t decide which one I loved the most! And they have everything from traditional to extravagant! I am so excited to get my new pair of Tom Fords that I bought just this past Monday I can hardly contain myself! And I already have my eye on a pair of blue frames that are so adorably dorky they may have to come home with me as well!
My one warning … if you love glasses as much as I do, be ready to pay for your style because the frames here are not inexpensive, but they are worth every penny!

Vision Source has a really nice facility and everyone who works there is very kind and helpful! They get you in and out as quick as possible. I sat down for less than 5 mins before I was called into the examination room. Dr. Forester made me feel very comfortable and he did a wonderful job explaining everything he was doing so that I’m not just sitting there in an awkward silence. I liked how organized the facility was — there’s a hall where the examination rooms were, an area with tables for contact lens fittings, and the left wing held all the prescription glasses for sale.

Very pleased with Dr Forester and his staff. He has a talent for explaining everything he does in a simple yet detailed manner. Highly recommend.

I moved to Austin TX over a year ago but I go back to OKC for my eye Doctor. Dr. Pitt and his staff are awesome. It is one of the first Doctor’s offices where they seem to understand that my time is just as valuable as theirs. They take really good care of my eyes and I will continue to make that drive!

Very professional, well run, state of the art, good service.
Dr. Forester is extremely nice and excellent at what he does.
