I had the chance to work with them multiple times through different events and also had the benefit of living just down the street, so I could pop in any time I needed a small birthday or hostess gift. Everyone who works here is incredibly kind and helped me find the perfect fit for what I was looking for.
And besides the gifts, the flowers are incredible. every time I had to pick up arrangements here I was so excited to see what crazy weird flowers would be included – and I mean that in the best way possible! It was like flowers from space/​the jungle/​etc. and besides being incredibly unique, the arrangements were also super long lasting! With regular maintenance (changing water and taking out brown bits) I would easily have an arrangement for a week and a half to two weeks after I picked them up.
If you’re looking for the best and most unique florist in the area, look no further.

I had them do a job they should have not excepted it was for my dad’s funeral. A job that was way to big for them but they saw the dollars sign and said yes we can do it. I order 5,700 dollars worth of flowers each bouquet was 350 dollars thinking it was going to the prettiest flowers ever at a funeral was I wrong, it was the ugliest and it was turning brown within a day and was dying. We had it at the funeral home for 3 days and I called them out and they said they would send someone out to refresh it, that was part of the payment. They came out and still left it brown! I had to call them again and tell them they didn’t fix it so please come out again. I was so frustrated at them! To all off my frustration the flowers was not even close to what I asked for, It wasn’t even close to any of my pics I sent them! I took the time to send them 10 pics wrote what I was looking for in each and everyone of them. The flowers came to me looking the same!!! These flowers looked uglier than any of my own arrangements that I put together and I had to trim them myself because it look like a jungle when I received the 8 flowers arrangements that looked the same no personality and looked like a bunch of weeds all bunch together on the bottom. It was a WOW are right like are you kidding me! The ugliest arrangements i have ever seen. It took my breath away alright!!! For all the wrong reasons. I wanted to cry just seeing how they were so ugly! the day of the funeral I was even more disappointed because his casket flowers were so brown and wilted. I was charge extra for this service so it shouldn’t look this way. I have never saw a casket flowers so brown as my dads!!! I wish they would have told me this job was to big for them because my DAD’S LAST WISH was to have pretty flowers at his funeral and I wanted each and every one of them to reflect who we where in his life. They did such a poor job! It was the dollar sign they saw!!!

Like you’d expect from any decent review of a local florist, I’d like to start with a Star Wars reference. I took a management personality test through my job some time ago, and after the standard feedback, the instructor translated our scores into Star Wars characters so we’d have better insight into our strengths and weaknesses and what kind of boss we would be from the perspective of those who did (or one day might) work for us.
I most closely corresponded to Darth Vader. Words like «hyper-​critical» and «arrogant know-​it-​all» come to mind. I took it to heart and haven’t had any children, just to be safe. The only redeeming thing I can claim about this test is that those who have known me longest assure me I’m actually far more relaxed and less obnoxious than I used to be.
How, you may ask, is any of this remotely related to A Date With Iris? Well, I’ve now matured enough to understand that there are* people who are more knowledgeable and capable than I am. When it was time to celebrate my wife’s latest promotion,^ I recalled the incredible centerpieces from our Unilocal event a few months ago and reached out to A Date With Iris. Instead of pretending that I knew what I wanted like usual, I went with a vague request for something appropriate but creative** and a price range. Kris completely went with it, came up with a fantastic arrangement, ensured it was delivered to the right place^^ and hit a home run with her selections. My wife loves them, they look cool, and most importantly, they’ve held up extremely well since they were delivered.
A Date With Iris hit every single note perfectly:
— Cool flowers appropriately selected despite my vague instructions
— Good value for the money
— Responsive and fast
— Delivered on the right day and to the right place … even though in my case, I told them the wrong place
— Durable flowers, since I’m becoming more and more convinced that the primary reason to deliver flowers to your significant female other is so she can make other people in the office jealous.
One more service provider I don’t have to shop around for any longer. You honestly couldn’t do better.
* I originally typed «may be.» See my pathetic ego and enjoy your schadenfreude.

I recently got to work with Kris and Stephanie from A Date With Iris on an event I was hosting. They created beautiful, unique, floral centerpieces they are known for, and worked within my budget to make sure I stayed well within my balance sheet.
But don’t overlook this as just a florist. If you need a gift that’s not perishable, be sure to check out their selection of gifts, cards and décor. No matter the occasion or the holiday, they have something that fits in with what you’re looking for… I’m kind of obsessed with some cute little sheep they have right now for Easter. Like, as in, these are the sheep I count to get to sleep. They’re so darling — I took a picture to show you!

This place has become my last minute go-​to shop for Anniversaries, Birthdays, Valentine’s Days, and most importantly: all of my ‘Oh crap I’m-in-the-doghouse again’ occasions. I have no reservations about walking in there absolutely clueless because the ladies at this shop are always extremely helpful, not to mention patient, and I walk out without a doubt that they will exceed my expectations.
The thing that draws me to A Date With Iris is the fact that they have unique and interesting locally grown flowers that you wouldn’t normally find anywhere else. You won’t find any of those south of the border flowers here. They might have a few set arrangements to choose from around the popular holidays, but other than that, they don’t really have standard arrangements; you just give them an idea of what you’re looking for and they create a beautiful piece with whatever happens to look best that week. The ladies take the time to put their best foot forward and present arrangements of only the highest quality. They make each and every arrangement feel uniquely special.
Give this great flower shop a try and don’t make the mistake of going with one of those 1 – 800 flowers delivered-​in-​a-​box arrangements, unless of course you’re planning on an extended stay in the dog house. Me personally, I prefer the bed.

The owner is Kris and she is fantastic!!! It was always a great pleasure to give her beautiful arrangements for any occasion. She always has a large variety of fresh flowers including many unique flowers that I only could seem to find here. She was always very flexible with me showing up and having the perfect arrangement within 15 – 20 minutes max.
Kris designed all of the flower arrangements for a close friends wedding and they were stunning. Kris exceeded satisfaction as she always did for me!
I highly recommend her for all floral needs!
(Also, if you slip in on a Friday, you may just catch her sipping mimosas and find yourself doing the same).
