I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Garber. While no one really wants to go to the dentist… when you need a dentist he is absolutely the one you will want to see. Personable, extremely competent and utterly conscientious and caring. 5 stars which are all well deserved.

Dr. Garber is great– very personable, and does a great job. I have found him to be conservative in his dental procedure recommendations, aiming to do what is appropriate for the situation– no excessive dental work here. I would highly recommend him to others looking for dental care in the Ojai area.

I have been a patient of Dr. Garber’s for over 15 years. When I moved to Santa Barbara, I tried other dentists, but decided the 40 minute drive was worth my trouble after finding overly aggressive and mercenary dentists where I live. I developed extreme sensitivity to my teeth and was told to get veneers. I got a second opinion from Dr. Garber and he explained to me that it would be so much better to first straighten my teeth with Invisalign. He does not sell Invisalign, or benefit from this recommendation, btw. I took his advice and two years later, teeth are straight, much easier to clean and the sensitivity was corrected by removing the pressure on my roots that my overcrosded teeth were creating. I saw the one review online that said Dr. Garber was overly agreesive, so I felt compelled to share my very different story with the Unilocal community.

dr. garber is an incredible– highly skilled– gifted dentist and just an all around great human being! a true professional in every way. the top things i admire most about him (besides his ability to keep my teeth healthy and looking great) are the following.
1. he is down to earth– his demeanor really puts you at ease.
2. he is genuine and truly cares about you as a person– he is someone you can really trust.
3. i know i am in hands competent hands.
besides dr. garber –he has a fantastic staff. they ALL make you feel welcome and looked after.
the office is exceptionally clean, organized, modern and has state of the art equipment.
another huge plus is that he and his staff ALWAYS run on schedule. i never have had to wait more than a minute or two once i arrive.

I’ve been Dr. Garber’s hygienist for the past two years. Although I’m leaving the practice to continue through school, I am forever impressed by him. I grew up with my dad and uncle as my dentists and my mom as the dental assistant, so I’ve been extremely picky with who’s work I’d back up and who I let work on my own teeth. Dr Garber is competent, gentle, extremely artistic (especially with veneers), smart, funny, and most importantly trustworthy! His kindness and talent is extremely rare and I would highly recommend him! And in response to Elizabeth W’s comment, I wouldn’t have lasted a day if he were to scam anyone in any way… I’m so shocked to read that that I’m convinced she has the wrong office.
