Dr. Bernhoft is nice but he isn’t very experienced. I asked him questions about my problems but he doesn’t seem to know a lot outside his confort zone of expertise/​therapies.
I told him about my family problems (very serious and very sad) and asked him if my health issue was genetic or what. I wanted to know what is my disease since I was born this way and maybe run some tests but he told me at the end of the visit, without any intention to further investigate my health issues, to do the LDA Therapy.
I have very serious problems and I wanted to know why not to take some shots.
I can’t take medication and I haven’t had medications in 4 years and he prescribed me Prednisone to be taken three days before the LDA therapy. Medications make me very sick, all kind of medications, and I told him that but nonetheless he gave me the worse medication ever, cortisone.
I wasted my money and my time with this doctor and I’m so angry and sad because other people will suffer because he just wants to sell something and not really understand the problem of a person and the reason why that person is sick.
You can’t give a cure to a person without knowing what are her/​his problems because you put that person in serious danger. It’s really dangerous to give e person a therapy without a serious diagnosis. I had told to the doctor that my health balance is very delicate and that I worked so much with food and natural medicine to stay healthy again because 4 years ago I was very sick. I went to Dr. Bernhoft for answers but all I got was an appointment (which means more money) and a prescription for cortisone.
So so disappointed.

Make a long story short. after almost 15 years when I started having anxiety and shortness of Breath. I had been seen by many doctors many specialist you name it; General, Internal Dr. Neuorlogist and Psychiatric Doctos and others I cant remember… After not being able to figure out what was wrong with me they always came to the same conclusion, that it was in my head and I was either depressed and had anxiety.
So sad that these professionals don’t take the time to study disease but only symptoms. Now I don’t disagree that I had those symptoms but they were part of the symptoms of of being sick. Think about it when you have the FLU anyone could diagnose you as depressed based on your symptoms.
Dr. Bernhoft did not jump to any conclusions and this made me feel as if I had found a doctor whom was finally going to go above and beyond the typical diagnosis protocol. He went above and beyond that and did a genetic test in which he found out that I had a genetic mutation C677T and others which also includes not generating my own Glutathione which is the #1 antioxidant produced naturally by the body. Basically, because I did not have the capacity to methylate/​detox my entire life, I was toxic and full of heavy metals including; lead, mercury, aluminum and candida and much more to name a few.
Im not cured as It takes time to detox a lifetime of exposure, specially heavy metals but I can tell you that I am doing much better and no longer have that feeling of depression and my anxiety is gone.
I continue to see Dr Bernhoft and am confident that soon I will be free of the heavy metals and back to normal.

Results were ok but not great. Not sure if I would go back or recommend them to other people.

Why was Dr. Bernhoft able to help me immediately when a variety of previous doctors over many years were not able to correctly diagnose and/​or treat my ailments? Simply because Dr. Bernhoft investigates and treats the causes of disease, not the symptoms. He is completely patient oriented. I totally agree with his effective philosophy of «treating the whole patient with an integrative science based approach.» Dr. Bernhoft is the future of medicine… today. It is not uncommon to hear from his other patients that Dr. Bernhoft has brought them back from the brink of death. «I had one foot in the grave,» I’ve heard more than once. As a side note, while at his center, it was a miracle to see one of Dr. Bernhoft patients, an autistic child, coming out of a lifetime of silence! This child’s freedom from autism was one of many similar results in this office.
