Treehouse Children’s Museum

The Treehouse Children’s Museum reminds me of a big playground for kids. It is fantastic for kids aged about 5 to about 10. I think 10 and over they will find it boring.
Most of their exhibits are hands-​on and interactive but they may not necessarily support the specific educational exhibit. Case in point, the Constitution exhibit shows the constitutions and the Bill of Rights (printed in original cursive — which most kids can’t read) in front of some kind of blue foam build-​it-​yourself maze for a ball to flow through. Of course, the kids play with the foam build-​it blocks and I don’t think a single one even acknowledged the Constitution on the wall.
They do have a lot of different types of exhibits — which is nice, including a fair amount of Utah history. The medieval history section seemed to be the best as it included dress-​up queen/​king costumes as well as a life-​size chess board and a foam build an arch block set. That at least engages the mind.
The kids definitely love playing in the various spaces and exploring the museum. I did not see a single kid who was not having a fun time.
I just see this place more as a playground than a museum, and that disappoints me.

Today the wife and I decided to check out the tree house for our little ones. It cost $ 5 per adult and $ 7 per child. At first we weren’t sure what to make of the cost and if it was worth it but after taking two and a half hours we decided to purchase an annual family membership for $ 50.
The tree house has two levels with various self guided activities and a few guided arts activities. They only charge for children over one year old. They do have lockers at the front of the facility to stow your kiddy gear and some room to leave your stroller. The overall atmosphere of the facility is free flowing so the kids can move and wander anywhere they want. The different rooms and activities will engage any child in make believe and educational discovery.
Both floors have convenient bathrooms with baby changing tables however I would have expected to see at least one family bathroom but not a deal breaker.
The location is downtown with plenty of parking but street parking might be sparse so be prepared to walk a small distance. There are food establishments all around so access to food after the kiddo’s are worn out is ideal.
I would highly recommend the tree house for an afternoon of fun for the young kids.

Easily my daughter’s favorite place in the entire state of Utah. If we lived here, we’d buy a membership for sure!

I did my research and for a family of six, you can’t go wrong buying a yearly membership. There is so much to do and see, I found it difficult to experience everything the Treehouse had to offer in one visit.
This place is leaps and bounds ahead of any Children’s museum SLC has to offer.
Updated, clean, and three levels of fun! Our favorites were the baby nursery, the diner, the Oval Office, rodeo, and castle. So much fun!
There are activities going on throughout the day, they also have art projects, employee-​led games and challenges and interactive displays all over the museum.
Strollers are not allowed, but stroller parking and lockers are available in the lobby.
Parking is free, try the garage bc street parking had a 2 hour limit.
Can’t wait to go back.

This is our favorite place to play! It’s really too bad it’s over an hour from our house because we would be here a LOT if I were closer. Even still, we bought a hear membership because it was super affordable and the several times we make the trek a year makes it worth it.
It’s a little older, and maybe not as flashy as the discovery Gateway, but it’s simpler stuff and way more hands on for littles. There is just so much fun stuff to do here without all the fuss.
Upstairs you can visit a child-​size version of the Oval Office, play a variety of unique percussion instruments, run an old timey diner, learn about medieval times and even play a life size version of chess.
Downstairs you will find more for the younger toddlers, with a barn with a milkable cow (the udders squirt water), wooden horses to ride, trains, and houses from different countries around the world.
They have a big fish tank and at certain times throughout the day you can gather there to hear a story and watch them get fed. They also have story times and art projects every hour or so and all is included in your admission.
This museum is right cross from the lds temple, and down the road a ew minutes from Weber State. If you’re not from this area it’s worth a trip to check out for sure.

My kids are 3, 6 and 8. I didn’t expect much for my active kids, it is hard to kind things indoors that keep them entertained. But surprisingly, we were there about 3 hour until they closed and they didn’t get bored or ask to go one. I wasn’t going to vlog the trip, but I am glad I did cause it was pretty fun. This place is basically a giant playplace for children. It’s got everything to keep a child entertained for hours. We went there with two little guys (1 ½ and 3) and they had nonstop fun for two hours. If I lived in Ogden, this would be someplace I’d go to once a week.
There’s stuff for kids of all ages. Play things range from simple drums to marimbas, board books to chapter books, building blocks to giant interactive US maps. I was impressed by the educational nature of the place too; they have houses from different cultures, facts on the Presidents and the first ladies, a giant music composition board, and much much more!
There’s some great photo miniature play areas too, like a miniature oval office and a kid-​size diner.

Great place. If you have young children you definitely want to go here. I want one in Denver!

Great place for indoor fun for the kids! Especially in the winter months or to get out of the scorching heat of the outdoors in the summer. The location is the best because if you are going to the movies with young ones, I would plan a play date here first to get the wiggles out so they’ll sit through the movie. Works like a charm for my little ones! This is a fun educational play place that parents can appreciate and children love. I recommend going here for anyone with children who love to explore, learn, and play!
I would also like to comment on how clean it is here, knowing the high traffic of kids that are here daily, the staff has their work cut out for them, but they are on top of it! They are super friendly as well.

This place is excellent for families with children who want to learn and have fun doing it. I uses to love going here when o
was a kid and so did my brother. We spent many hours learning and enjoying ourselves in this gigantic «treehouse» for kids. I recommend this for fun nights as a family, little ones birthday parties, or just to give your kids something to do.

My favorite thing about the treehouse museum is that it’s the one children’s museum where I feel completely comfortable bringing my little, littles.
I don’t have to worry about my two year old being mowed down by older kids. This museum caters to kids of all ages, but it seems to attract more young kids, and I am pleased with that.
My other favorite thing about the treehouse museum is that it is so clean! They do an amazing job keeping everything organized.
My last favorite thing about the treehouse are the employees. They all interact well with the kids.

Prefect spot for kids of all ages! With so many fun things to do we didn’t get bored after two hours… just hungry! So we came back after lunch! It’s clean, staff is friendly and it’s very hands on educational. The long drive out doesn’t even bother us a bit because it’s well worth it.

I’m not entirely sure if it was the minion or I that had the most fun here. Super learning environment disguised as a fun place to play and hang out.
This place is massive. Take a 3 story office building, hollow it out, and insert large things to walk around, play on, climb, etc., and you have the Treehouse. All of the items are centered around (you guessed it) a giant treehouse. Learning stations about art, music, geography, play, self-​esteem, physics, and anything else you can think of are here.
Things that we liked or loved:
1.) It was relatively cheap. It cost 6 bucks for the wife, minion, and me to get in.
2.) All of the toys, displays, etc, were in great condition given they are abused by tons of kids. I didn’t see anything broken, sick, or out of order.
3.) There are more activities here for your kids to do than they will be able to handle. Pretty sure they would never get bored here.
4.) All of the learnings are interactive and something both kids and parents participate in. Don’t expect this place to «babysit» your booger eater.
5.) Potties are kept clean and are kid sized. The shortest of shooters can hit the urinal without a boost up.
Things we didn’t love:
1.) Parking stinks. You have a parking garage nearby but it was an ice-​rink between the Treehouse and said garage.
2.) The enterance wasn’t really «secure.» There appeared to be opportunities where kids would be able to sneak by the front counter and get out of the building.
Great place, especially in the winter months when it is hard to find activities for little ones. Visit. You’ll like it.

Good fun even for 14 month old baby. Good fun even for adults. I even found it fun to go through.

Educational fun for children in a range of ages. Great when the weather is bad, and the little ones have met their TV allotment.

You are a bad parent if you don’t take your children here. Enough said.

This is an amazing place that younger children can let thief imaginations run walk. There are lots of things to do for those with short attention spans. It can be exspensive if you hav a large family, so it is well worth the annual membership.

This is a great place for children to play and explore. They have 2 floors filled with themed play areas. My son really enjoyed the castle, music, and farm themes. We had fun «playing» president upstairs. They have costumes the kids can dress up in. That adds to the fun! Admission is $ 5 for adults and $ 6 for children. That seemed very fair to me.
The only things I didn’t like were the computer and touch screens areas. They had some really great ideas in place, but many of them were broken or didn’t function properly. It would be nice to see them get some funding to improve those touchscreens. I also think it would be awesome if they added more to the floors. The big map of the United States upstairs is great. Doing more with the floors would help immerse everyone in the themes. The more immersed… the better!
Overall, it is a GREAT place for children to play!

during the winter months being indoors with a toddlers days on end can be well, difficult to say the least. I recently got a tree house museum pass (only 50 bucks for a year) and have been going every week since. It’s like the first time every time to my daughter. She goes in the door squeals like a kid on Christmas and darts to the toys. We spend at least 3 hours there and then she goes to bed early and snores through the night. Thank you tree house for endless hours of fun.

My dad bought my daughter a membership. We go for an hour here and there. She’s only 18 months but she loves it. As she gets older, I’m sure she’ll love it even more. They have toddler time twice a week which is awesome for her because it’s geared to her age. The staff it energetic and great with all the kids. I don’t like going when there’s a field trip because it gets crazy in there.
The year-​long membership was $ 40. Admission for myself and my daughter would otherwise be $ 11. Totally worth getting the membership!
