Awful. It took over an hour to get food with only one other couple in the restaurant. We had to ask over and over for silverware and to refill drinks. Gave a low tip and the lady gave me a dirty look and confronted me about it. When I told her it was poor service she took a picture of me on her phone. Not sure why? It’s not like I’ll come back where she could even refuse me service.

Never been in a worst service restaurant but this place«Yoshi» would fit the definition. Came in during lunch and what’s on the menu, a dinner menu. My friends and I asked for a lunch menu and the servers says that they do not have one. So ok, we ordered our meal. We never got asked how we want our meat cooked on top of that we’ve waited 45 minutes to receive our food. After eating, leaving the restaurant we noticed the lunch menu sitting outside the window with cheaper rate. Our cheque, would have been less. We’ve ask for that lunch menu in the first place. Why would they lie about it. We wanted a difference refund and they denied it and rude about it. They took us and slammed the door on us. I’ll never eat there again.

We just had the worst experience ever at Yoshi sushi. First of all we walked in at 7PM on a Saturday night and absolutely no one else was there. Then the music was so loud and it was headbanging dance club music which is totally not conducive to relaxing Asian cuisine atmosphere. Then they had the TV on worlds dumbest brawl with volume up so we were listening to both this horrible dance music and the TV. When we asked our waitress if she could change the music. She said she would ask the owner. It took two requests before the music was turned down the owner came over and said that is nice music while glaring at us. We were asked three times to place an order after already ordering drinks and an appetizer. We said no. We couldn’t get anybody to bring us a bill so we left a $ 20 bill which was more than ample to pay for our beverage and appetizer. They came running out after us yelling. we told them the money was on The table. They kept yelling and started snapping our pictures. We should have known when we walked into a restaurant on a Saturday at 7PM with no one there that was our first clue. We will never go back and we will never recommend this place.

The waitress didn’t speak English well, misunderstood my order and then gave me a look like it was my fault. The sushi was okay but nothing special. The chicken teriyaki was good but more rice and noodles than chicken. Overall It was so-so.

Not from here so maybe this was just a singular event. I asked for tuna sashimi and the waitress brought me nigori. No biggie I picked it off the rice. I made the mistake of not smelling it first. The tuna looked kind of brown… I smelled it. It was already starting to decay. The smell was horrible and the taste was worse. As a sushi chef you should be aware of what you’re providing your customers… I will most likely never be in this area again but I certainly would caution anyone from eating sushi here. I left a tip to the waitress because she was sweet and I felt bad…

Excellent little gem to visit when your in the area. The food was amazing. I had the filet, it was seasoned and cooked very well. Unfortunately it did not represent the picture in the menu(large thick filet). What came out was a diced filet. It tasted beautifully and we’ll be back without question. The chef who prepared our meal on the hibachi grill made our day! He entertained the adults and dazzled the children. Can’t wait to return.

My friend took me here instead of going to a different hibachi place. I really enjoyed not having to sit at a traditional hibachi table with a bunch of other people. Being able to sit at your own table is a plus for me. I was forewarned about the service not being great. The woman, I assume is an owner, wasn’t super on top of checking on us and her English was a bit broken, but she took our orders with no problem. The food was awesome. I had their hibachi special the first time and loved it. Their yum yum sauce is amazing. The second time I tried their dragon roll. I also enjoyed it. The onion soup and house salad was great, too. I will definitely go back!

Food was fine service was lousy. That is where the issue lies. Waitress has a nasty attitude there is a language barrier. She got our check wrong and slammed on table. Never more than four people at restaurant I see why now.

Ate here on a sunday night. They advertise a filet with a beautiful picture of a nice seared medium rare steak. I was sold with the picture, but when the steak came out it was completely well done. I tried to explain to the owner, but she got angry and told me she cant cook it that way and walked away from me rudely. Be careful if you come here expecting a juicy steak at this Japanese steakhouse!

Thank you Christy T. ! I only wish I had read YOUR review FIRST– ANDONLY. OUREXPERIENCEWASEXACTLY as you reviewed: «I don’t get these reviews at all. This place was totally gross. I have no idea what everyone here is talking about.» Our Bubba roll was simply gross.(See picture.) Picture was taken after only two pieces were removed from the plate. A cluttered, gross looking mess. Too much cream cheese, gummy gross rice, COLD Tempura shrimp that had ZERO crunch to it — enough… We asked if we could have the roll removed from our bill. Oh boy, an interpeter would have been nice, or what a great act? After babbling on non stop for 1 minute about ask for extra crispy, blah, blah, blah, I had to ask point blank because all our concerns were not being covered in the babbling: «Will this $ 12.00 be removed from our bill because we could not eat it? Oh yes is reply. The bill came back with 10% off the entrée. WTF? Not even splitting this loser with us 50%?? We left 80% of the nasty roll on the table. I guess their usual sushi chef took Xmas eve off ? Everyone seems to have had their unique experience and missed or met expectations here. The cold lack of concern for customer satisfaction has put this place on my «Roll The Loaded Dice» listing.

I hate giving bad reviews but I just can’t help it. It has really good reviews and we tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but I couldn’t wait to get out of this place. I don’t know if we just caught them on a bad night or what but we ended up just getting appetizers and running as quick as we could…

We love the sushi, especially the bubba roll. The wait can be a little long for sushi, but it is worth the wait!

We were really surprised by the quality of the hibachi. The steak, chicken and shrimp were all tender and flavorful. The vegetables were cooked just right. We were also impressed with their Volcano Roll. The huge pile on top had a nice and tasty crust. I’d give 5 stars if we could sit at the hibachi table. It’s minor for me, but my son loves the«show».

We had an excellent time at Yoshis! The Yum Yum, out Of Control and Bubba rolls were AMAZING! We have been looking for a good local sushi spot and we found it here.

Wow! How did this place get 41⁄2 star review. My first and last time coming here had the following issues: waitress was clueless, sushi had barely any fish on it, cooked food was not cooked properly. The best part was, we witnessed a yelling match between the owner and some patrons. How unprofessional! That was such turn off.

Wow! Really great food. Everything is fresh and prepared to order. The staff is very friendly and the owner is also the hibachi chef! He’s very good and really puts on a show. The sushi is excellent and is made by his son who makes everything to perfection. I eat at Yoshi’s about twice a month and wouldn’t think about going to one of the other more expensive and less friendly habachi/sushi restaurants.

I came at the end of lunch but it was my first visit so I felt a little bad but Yoshi brought out my food and put me at ease; told me to relax and enjoy. I’ve had fast food Japanese and this absolutely shamed them! The chicken was moist and everything was great! I never usually finish the soup or salad… not so here! We ate it all! They were very sweet. Almost $ 50 for an adult and child though…

Excellent food, excellent service. Staff is friendly and polite. Restaurant is very clean and sanitary. Sushi is wonderful and fresh. Chef is the Japanese Tiger Woods of Teppanyaki. Food is great quality, expertly prepared — and done with showmanship. We will return again and again.

I love the food here but the service is not consistent. I hope they get the issues straightened out because you can’t beat the quality of the food and the price.

In our way to Orlando from California, found this place on Unilocal and we couldn’t happier! Sushi is fresh and the teppanyaki is so tasty. The owner was very nice and courteous. Great service.
