I see how it gets 3 ½ stars. It’s close to home so we said«let’s just try it, maybe everyone is wrong”(which sometimes does happy on Unilocal) but it’s was just OK. No real flavor nothing special. Definitely won’t go back. I mean if I had to choose between that and Taco Bell then I’d go back but other than that nah!

We love Victoria’s it’s our«go to» local Mexican food. We’ve enjoyed every meal we’ve had there. Always, always a good choice to eat at Victoria’s.

I’m a Taco Shop type of guy. When I pulled up to Victoria’s and noticed a Chipotle was moving in right next door, I kind of got a little vexed. I felt like I was supporting the little guy by eating at Victoria’s, taking their side in the matter immediately. I was mistaken. It’s rare that I go in with a one star rating for Taco Shops in town. But this place is on my «Never Ever Again» list. I ate with 2 other co-workers on our lunch break, while in the field finishing our work. I ordered the Two Fish Taco plate with Rice and Beans. One of my co-workers ordered a California Burrito, and the other ordered two cheese enchilada and bean tostada plate with rice and beans. I only ate one of my fish tacos, and believe me when I say I was hungry as I could be at that point in the day. The fish was terrible. It tasted like it was some out of date frozen fish stick, overly battered and over cooked so that each bite was chewy and fishy. Once I got to the end of the taco, the tail end was so chewy I spit it out. I ate the rice and some of the bland beans, and I was through. I loaded up on some more of the hot carrots from the salsa bar, and called it a day. All of us had to deal with the bad decision of eating at this place, later in the evening with multiple trips to the restroom(to put it gently). An evening of regret to say the least. Speaking of restroom, their’s looks like someone took their aggression out on it. Smells just as bad. I would almost give the place another star, because the lady at the front counter was sweet, but I’m just going to say avoid this place, or face the possibility of your own evening of regret. Now that Chipotle doesn’t sound so bad after all.

Love love love the chile relleno burrito! It comes with guacamole and lots of cheesy goodness! The staff is friendly and patient… seems like a family joint. I hear spanish speakers on all sides of me but the staff does speak English. .50 atm fee

I paid about $ 11 for 5lbs of gross. Carnitas burrito was big but the pork was sub par. I asked for chips and guac and got what looked like a baby crapped on some overcooked chips. I ate about 3 bites and tossed it all. No.No.No.

bland bland bland. You could at least put salt in your food. Way better Mexican taco shops out there. Plus, you have to ask for everything! cups for hot sauce, water etc… won’t be going back.

I liked their tacos but I made the huge mistake of going to their restroom. Its very hard to return to this restaurant after visiting the filthy restroom. It really makes you wonder what is going on back there with the food. I dont understand how they get a rating of an A. It seems like every restaurant I have seen since moving here in Feb whether filthy or not gets an A put on their front door. How in the world does that work?

Great food at a reasonable price. Victoria’s is my go to restaurant while shopping at the Mission Market Place. It stands out for me compared to other Mexican places in the area because of their quick friendly service, low prices, and outstanding food. The food isn’t fancy. It is simple, but that is the point. And I am a firm believer in eating where the locals eat whether traveling or at home. Victoria’s fits the bill nicely, as it is a common stop for locals to sit and relax after a hard days work and enjoy a great meal while watching soccer. My favorite dish, besides the carne asada fries, are the fish tacos — fresh fish deep battered with a little cabbage and sour cream, and a whole lot of flavor. I especially like the large portions as they are the prefect thing to fill an empty stomach.

Even though I didn’t order more than a cheese quesadilla, which was very good and a pina drink, I give it 5 stars for friendly service! There’s plenty of seating inside and plenty of parking. I would like to return and try some carne asada fries.

I am visiting the area and wanted to eat Mexican food, authentic, not from a food chain restaurant, so I decided to stop at this place. The service was great, prices were good, and the food was excellent. They also serve horchata, which I love with Mexican food. Very satisfied!

Very dissatisfied with my order. I got a pollo asada burrito plate and the burrito has only chicken and onion in it(smothered in a weird bbq/salsa sauce). The only thing good about this order was my beans. I do not recommend this place.

The carne asada fries were pretty good. I liked that they used fresh cut potatoes instead of the frozen fries. While the fries taste better, it was also a lot soggier. I asked for my fries to be extra crispy, but they still came out pretty soggy. Not a big deal for most people, but thats just how I prefer my fries. The carne asada was just OK. Kind of chewy and didn’t have much flavor. Thankfully, they have some pretty good hot sauce to go with it. It isn’t hot(I tried the one advertised as VERY hot), but it had some good flavor. Customer service was also lacking. They seemed a little ticked when I asked for sauce cups. lol.

Hole-in-the-wall that leaves no hole-in-your-wallet and makes your-stomach-feel-whole. This place is local to me and I have come here with my girlfriend whenever she’s in town. She loves it and not just because her name is Victoria also. We are both regulars and have ordered things from quesadillas to burritos to tacos to taquitos. Victoria’s never disappoints and have never screwed up an order. They read back your order to make sure it’s correct. The meats are always savory, the tortillas are always hot, everything melts in your mouth. It’s hard to get SoCal Mexican food wrong, but they do it so right to my standard.

I was craving a California burrito really bad and my step-dad suggested this place. I wanted it with guacamole. They brought out a freakin’ baby sized burrito and I ate it all. Yep. It was amazing and I don’t regret eating that baby. I’d come back here again.

My wife and I grew up on Mexican food in North County. She picked up dinner last night. First time eaters at this joint. I had the carnitas, she had chili rellano(sp) and beef taco(#21). The carnitas was a joke. Cut into pieces of equal clumps of fat and a rock like pork substance. Her’s was absolutely pathetic. Please understand that we both love, and look forward to enjoying Mexican food. Our garbage disposal had trouble swallowing this pathetic excuse for food. Never again. To many good places to eat in this town. Bill in Oceanside

I love how the cashier didn’t flinch when we ordered our high maintenance food…“no this, no that”. Admittedly, my crew could be a pain. :-) I appreciate the kindness. I wish they had a salsa & chip bar. They only have a salsa bar but you have to ask for a container. I get the impression they want to control the portions people take. The food is okay. I had the Chorizo plate & I enjoyed it, but I have to admit that the beans are not overly flavorful. Hate to sound rude, but I’ve had better. We are not from this area & I purposely sought out this place after seeing it on Unilocal since I knew we would pass the area. I doubt we will be back since I was not overly moved by the food. But again, I appreciate the kind service.
