I called at 2:30 PM from San Diego to see if they could take me and my daughter at 3:30 PM. They told me to come in, so we did and got there right on time. After waiting 15 minutes and watching others walk in after and they told them to come back in an hour, I asked do we need to come back? Brenda responds — come back in 30 minutes. We went next door to have a bite to eat and came back — still waited another 30 minutes. They finally start our pedicures, and when it is time to get my nails done (after 3 hours), Brenda says «I’m sorry, we do not have time to do your nails — we are busy.» Let me say this — I have been going there for well over a year now, and the service started out very good, lately it has been «okay» — very inconsistent quality. I get the same service each time and each time the cost is different and I normally tip them $ 20 each time I visit. If you are too busy when people call, just say that and schedule them for another day. Brenda asked me to come back tomorrow… absolutely not — I will never be returning to get my nails done at Red Persimmon in Oceanside. Today’s experience was a terrible waste of my time to leave work early and to be sent away after sitting there for 3 hours.

So I wanted to be able to upgrade from a four-​star to a five-​star review. Unfortunately my 2 o’clock appointment with Brenda came and went. I waited until 2:10, no word, just sat there until I decided to leave. My opinion? If one of your manicurists is running late then you tell the customer that. I will be back.

I am very pleased with my experience! My nails look great. The place was very clean & modern. Kathy really knows what she is doing!
It did end up costing more than I expected– from when I first called for information and is more expensive than the other nail salons I’ve been to recently but overall I am very pleased.
I definitely recommend making an appointment rather than trying to walk-​in.

Brenda is a true artist. I can never find anyone who can make my stiletto nails as sharp as I want them and she nails it. She also does amazing designs. Brenda is a perfectionist and I really appreciate that trait as well.

The ladies here are very nice and care about your satisfaction of with your nails. By far the cleanest, friendliest nail salon. deserves ¹⁰⁄₅ stars. very clean and amazing service. enough said

I’m so happy I discovered Kathys creative and artistic talent with shellac ! I just went to her after reading her great reviews on here and they were so accurate. She’s so awesome and I love what she did with my nails ! I cannot wait to go back !

This is now my go-​to nail salon. It’s always extremely clean, the girls are sweet, and they really value their work! They take their time and do such a good job every time I go in. Definitely recommend this place if you live in O’side :)

I truly love this salon! Ever since I have moved to California, I have gone to them for most of my beauty needs. From Mani Pedi’s, eye brow waxing, eye lash extensions to my very first facial. Everyone is always kind and welcoming. If you work hard, and need some pampering, I highly recommend you visit.

It was my first time coming here and Brenda knocked it outta the park with my nails. Her attention to detail and artistic skill impressed me. She’s also very nice. The reason I give 4 stars instead of the five she deserves is because my pedicure was alright but as soon as I said I didn’t want the callous remover she didn’t scrub the heal at all, the polish looks beautiful though. I will definitely be back and probably opt for the callous remover next time so my pedicure feels more complete, but had Brenda not been so good I may not have returned.

If you want a day of relaxation and beauty, well this is the place!
Pedi/​Mani and eyelashes from Chloe are the best!

Made an appointment for my friend and I to get pedicures tonight at 5pm. Showed up on time and after waiting for 15 minutes, we were finally directed to two salon chairs with water in the basins. After sitting for 40 minutes, the water quite cold by now, we asked when someone would actually be giving us pedicures. They told us it would be 10 – 15 more minutes! No. Got up and walked out. This was our first, and last, experience at this spa.

I have had some very bad experiences with eyelash extensions in the past. So I was reluctant to try them again but Chloe has been absolutely fantastic very professional does an amazing job she’s very quick and sufficient I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

I have never been more happy with my nails. The girls there are always so sweet to me. I love that they are always up for a challenge when I come in asking for designs. I love this place. Clean and great service.

Love this nail salon! I’m pretty particular with my nails and this place is up to par if you get the right person to do your nails. Brenda and Chloe do such a great job! Loving me and my sisters new Easter nails!

This has to be my favorite nail salon. Brenda has always done my manicures, she does amazing nail art. I am always very pleased. The salon is very clean and all the staff is very friendly.

If you’re looking for eyelash extensions, you’ve come to the right place! Chloe has been doing my lashes for over 2 years and I have never had a complaint. I like them «thin and natural» so if you like mine, tell her that is what you’re wanting. If you care for them they will last!

I’ve been getting a mani, pedi, eyebrow wax, and eyelash extension from the ladies that work here for over a year. I always make an appointment because Brenda is busy busy! I have had issues at other nail salons but never here. Brenda is so kind and always listens to what I want. I was concerned about getting lash extensions but Brenda does such an amazing job I can’t live without them. Thanks ladies!

I’m giving this salon 5 well deserved stars hands down! I have been going here for over a year now and this is not your ordinary nail salon! The owner is very sweet and really cares that her salon is sanitary. The pedicure chairs are the newest in the industry and are brand new. Each pedicure chair’s tub has a plastic wrap that is changed after each client. The nippers and nail clippers are professionally sterilized and repackaged!
Khole does my nails and lashes, she is amazing! She does my nails perfect every single time! She is so talented! My lashes always come out looking natural and beautiful! My daughter goes here as well. She never makes an appointment and gets someone different each time. She is always pleased with her nails and lashes no matter who she gets. Everyone is excellent here!
Last but not least the prices are very reasonable! BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!!

Kathy is fantastic! Gel manicure with sparkles for the season /​she took so much care in the manicure — easy to talk to — I have a regular place but! This may be my second since my first isn’t open Sunday’s very clean business — everyone’s very sweet — reasonably priced for the quality! Very happy gal

Cleanest and newest top of the line massage chairs. Very classy, peaceful, quiet. They have plastic liners for the foot bath.
