Ramada Oceanside

I am very disappointed in this hotel. You can see drug deals going on in the parking lot. Theres alot of unsavory types that stay there. And to top it off the day after we checked out the hotel charged my credit card $ 34 extra and when I called and asked y they tell me because I used the wash clothes to take our make up off and they were ruined seriously they are white they could bleach them I cant believe they charged me $ 34… I will never stay here again…

Overall a pleasant stay, no complaint’s in reality. Would Recommend to friends and family.
[5] Clean — Bed sheets, beds, pillows, towels, restroom, drapes etc. Did not find nothing unusually dirty.
[5] Location — 5 Mins away from beach, Gas station, Burger King, Taco Shop, Grocery, banks nearby.
[4] Parking — Good amount of parking, I would get there late so could not find parking in front of our rooms most of the times, I just leaving my car close to my room. Other than that, Not the hotels fault, just many people stayed here the week we were there (01÷22−1−30−2016).
[5] Staff — Friendly, No issues what so over. They even held some flowers in the back for me since I had them as a surprise for my BF.
[5] Hotel — They have gym, ice for guests, laundry, nice working elevator. Flat screen TV’s.

Good price for this place. Decent sized room king bed with complementary crib! Microwave, fridge and coffee maker.
Actually comes with good shampoo and conditioner (matrix).
Dds, el super ect across the street.
Down the street is a park:)
And not far from the beach!
Free wifi
Free breakfast 6−10am
Free parking
Big tv

It is true, its not in the best neighborhood and there is a funky smell that you somewhat get use and the door does not lock on the inside (the staff was not helpful when called about this) but honestly the bed is comfortable (on the firm side) and the bathroom is nice and it is great that they offer breakfast (verdict is still out, haven’t gone yet) and they have a fitness room. It is hard to beat the price and this is much better than other sites unless you are doing AirBnB.

Went to my nephew’s marine graduation. Checked in and few days later found out that they charged my credit card several times unauthorized. This is outright FRAUD. Because of there mistake I incurred several bank charges. Tried calling and employees gave me the run around. Stating Andrew Stewart Manager never to be found to correct the error made by the Ramada employee.
All they kept telling me is he will call you back never did.
Still waiting for a call back — Mr Stewart you have my number. I left several messages with Debbie. Debbie that made the mistake in the first place!!!
Problem not resolved had to report it to the better business bureau and the bank as FRAUD

Really dirty. Rooms have a weird, moldy smell. Staff is very friendly. I do not recommend staying here but if you are trying to save money it’s not that bad for a cheaper hotel. You just know what you’re getting into, you get what you pay for.

I stayed here and on the 3 rd day the housekeeper cleaned our room. I left one of my bags in the room and specifically asked her to leave the bag alone we will be back. Turns out she threw my bag in the garbage minus the things that someone wanted to keep. Half the stuff in my bag was missing. I asked the front office person why she would do that. He said she misunderstood. The only way I could see that is if she didn’t understand English! This is soooo wrong and we are upset! We called the corporate office to get a refund and compensation for my missing items.

Ok. So, if u didn’t my check in. I shall summarize.
Helpful front desk guy. Lot’s of stores (dds, Walmart Super Center, etc.) and restaurants. Not too far from Legoland and freeway nearby.
Beach/​Pier nearby.
Mall and plaza nearby.
Also near Camp Pendleton (Hoorah).
Area. quiet but, questionable. You could hear the train (The train is by the pier).
The front desk warned me that it gets noisy from 4am on (hotel on major street). So, good luck if u are a light sleeper (Thank goodness we weren’t in the front).
Room is small but, good size (It smelled like bleach and the rug was kinda wet).
Oh and there is a bag over the smoke detector (WEIRD).
Beds were spacious and comfy.
Has a mini fridge and dial up microwave.
Mini coffee maker (Not enough coffee/​condiments for a coffee junkie as myself. Yes, there is a Starbucks nearby).
Bathroom nice and reeked of bleach (which is good and bad).
Fa-​ree WiFi. (It’s open WiFi so, VPN people).
Breakfast? Nothing big. Do it yourself Waffle station, cereal, toast and egg for protein. (There’s a BK nearby).
All in all. It’s decent for a 1 – 2 night stay.

Pleasantly surprised by the room, it was clean and tidy. Slightly annoying that there wasn’t an elevator to our side of the second floor. The front desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was okay but slightly lacking. Free wifi is always good by me!

Absolutely terrible night. Barely slept due to intoxicated homeless person (or people?) repeatedly banging on room window and wall air unit behind room. Informed front desk clerk of this (2 am) and she said she wouldn’t do anything herself (don’t blame her) but that she would call the police. She apparently told police that there was «noise» behind the building. Nearly an hour goes by and the homeless person was still there, banging our window and wall unit. My fiancé and I pack our things and go ask front desk to get us another room. She calls police again and they said they drove by motel and didn’t see anything creating noise. In hindsight I should’ve called police myself, as I would have reported an actual human being banging on our window and wall unit, which I wrongfully assumed the clerk would relay accurately on her own. She then told us they had no rooms available. I pushed her on this given that it was a Wednesday night with a half empty parking lot, and she clarified that while there were rooms available, there were none on the second floor and per their policy, dogs aren’t allowed on the 3^rd or 4^th floors. It is 3 am at this point and I couldn’t believe she was standing firm on their policy given the situation and our quiet 9 pound dog. She then tries moving us a few doors down on the first level but couldn’t get the key cards to work. Finally, a homeless drunk pregnant looking lady stumbles into the lobby and the clerk gives up and lets us have a 4^th floor room. The clerk apologized for everything at this time, which was nice. Minutes later we saw this homeless lady being arrested. We aren’t entirely sure if this was the person that was behind our initial room earlier. It didn’t matter as we had a new room on the 4^th floor. Unfortunately, this new room had its own horrendous noise issues coming from the ceiling/​roof. Terrible stay.
On a positive note, the rooms were decent and had nice amenities.

Honestly I liked this Ramada. We paid about $ 60 for the one night and I got a little more than I thought I would.
The front entrance where you check in is nice and clean; the staff that checked us in was friendly.
The room itself was located right next to the Front Entrance. We had a dog with us and there are no additional fees (up to two animals). They have a small area that is dedicated for your pets to do their business in the corner. Not very big but big enough.
The room had a little bit of a smell to it, but I’m not sure if they only use certain rooms for people with pets. But it was really faint. I know it wasn’t my dog because we gave him a bath that day.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom nice. You can tell its an older property but for the age it is well kept.
***Also, I’ve noticed the GM has been commenting on the negative reviews. I really like that they care about fixing the issues! That’s really important to me.

I have stayed at this hotel several times both with the family and alone when on business in the area. The property is old but has been nicely maintained and every time I come back there is evidence of remodels and upgrades to the rooms.
The place is clean and has an exceptionally courteous staff. Over time my family and I have gotten to know some of the staff members and they recognize us as semi-​regular guests.
Clean, comfortable rooms. Free wi-​fi, and a free breakfast with fresh waffles make this a good place for both the business traveler as well as the vacationing family.

Stayed here for a couple nights, and thought it was okay for the price. We booked through Expedia and got a good deal on the price. Our 4^th floor room was nice, with a comfy king bed, nice cool air conditioning, and it was equipped with a mini fridge and microwave. The room comes stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Another plus… they have a complimentary breakfast on the second floor, which has serve-​your-​own waffles, bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, coffee, juice, tea, etc. Not too bad. It would be nice if there was a pool, but it’s okay that there isn’t. We tried out the gym, which was decent considering the small size of the hotel. There’s one treadmill, a bike, an elliptical machine, dumbbell rack, an all-​in-​one weight machine thing, and a bench/​shoulder press thing. Also has a tv, a/​c, and complimentary towels and water. The location is convenient to the downtown area and very close to the I-​5 freeway. The layout of the hotel allows you to hear people as they walk past to/​from the elevator, but it wasn’t bad. Just occasional chatty kids. Overall was okay!

I got this hotel on a Priceline bid. I was hoping for a step up from motel 6 or nearby rodeway inns. I’m not sure I got it. Room was musty smelling. Especially with the AC on. The rooms face a walkway open to the elements and the windows were thin so you could hear everything going on outside. The breakfast was ok. A slight step above continental as they had make your own Belgian waffles and hard boiled eggs. Woo hoo! I expected more from a Ramada Inn. I probably won’t be back.

What a distressed hotel!
We were in room 319. AVOID!
Cigarettes burns on the night stand, AWFUL mold smell in the room (so bad we were unable to close the door unless we were sleeping or leaving the hotel), security latch from door was broken/​missing, no deadbolt either, there was NO water pressure in the shower, the furniture was dented everywhere, the heat did not work (it actually turned the fire alarm on when we tried to turn it on), the guest directory was sticky and smelly, the TV outlet box cover was missing (there was a big hole in the wall under the table), the light bulbs were from different shades, the light shade was stained, a dog apparently was left alone in the bathroom and attacked the door, employees were smoking less than 10 feet from the reception area. There is no pool.
Other than that, they offer a free breakfast from 6 to 10AM Monday to Sunday, which was good and convenient. The breakfast area is on the 2^nd floor. The waffle machine was a plus, and the breakfast staff was professional and very efficient. The beds were very clean (no ugly bed cover, only clean white sheets), carpet looked clean and the bathroom smelled bleach.

I actually really liked this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and they had a free breakfast in the morning. The room was clean, and had an open corridor so you could stand outside your room and still look around and down at the street. The staff was very helpful and I cant wait to stay again. Only 1 mile from the beach at a very affordable rate.

Okay so i didn’t get anything stolen and nobody tried breaking into my room, the employees were professional. kinda, and i didnt have a problem checking in, but this hotel is definitely shady. At night a lot of weird, druggie looking men are hanging out outside. I didnt see one «normal» person staying in this hotel. When i asked someone about the hotel they said,.“it use to be a really bad hotel, but looks like they remodel it and renamed it” to be honest it still seems pretty bad and im not talking about the looks, the hotel was decent looking. The neighborhood also seems pretty bad, nothing interesting is around, if you like to party the nightlife sucks! Some of these reviews are a little over dramatic, but yeah i wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
P.s the elevators smell like pee and there is no pool.

It’s a great hotel!
The amenities won my heart. Fridge and Microwave inside the room was a plus. The room seems to be upgraded /​remodeled. The Cable TV was a surprised. The bed was comfortable and clean. There were make up remover tissues, conditioner, shampoo, soap.
The location is also wonderful! Right next to the freeway. But not close enough that it’s too loud. Close to gas stations [Arco] & fast-​foods [Mickey Ds & Jack in the Box]. Just a couple of miles [or less] drive to the beach.
I deducted a point due to a couple of reasons:
*FRONT DESK STAFF — as soon as we walked in; we didn’t feel any welcome at all. They were in the middle of a conversation, so I didn’t bother interrupting at all. But they literally finished a conversation before proceeding to greeting me. Take note, NOT even a smile was given to me when I walked in just because they were talking. The lady receptionist however, was very helpful as soon as she started assisting me. But my, the guy at the front didn’t give any welcoming attitude but instead gave me an unwanted approach. The staff made me feel like not going to them for any questions /​concerns. Just, UNWELCOMING :(
*NO POOL — This hotel did not have a pool. It would have added so much more value to the place. But the price I pad for was definitely worth every penny, even after finding out there wasn’t any pool /​spa to relax in.

This hotel is located across the street from the Ocean’s Eleven casino. The surrounding neighborhood does not appear to be a very nice place. However the bed was pretty comfortable, but the sheets were definitely not very clean. The shower water pressure was good. The room had a fridge and a large flat screen TV with DirectTV. All in all this place felt more like a Motel 6. Good thing it was cheap and I only needed a place to crash for one night. The parking lot here is pretty awkward especially if you have a larger car. If you have the money and want to stay somewhere nice, don’t stay here.
