Courtyard San Diego Oceanside

Good stay for a wedding. Close driving distance to everything and friendly staff. It had the normal courtyard amenities and the room was pretty clean and quiet. Would come back if in the area and need a decent place to stay.

Conveniently located by my work and decent rooms. The fire pit wasn’t on when it was pretty chilly and no one there to help us with it. The pool looks like it needs some work, but the inside was nice. It was always quiet, only 4 floors of rooms, little shops and restaurants downstairs in the lobby and a place to print your boarding passes. Sufficient for what I needed the room for and wifi wasn’t bad, for me to do some work.

One night stay for a weekend soccer tournament. Worth the expense ($ 129/​night thru Priceline) but not a perfect stay. Great location. We could walk across to the field and save on the $ 10/​day soccer parking fee. Nice lobby for group gatherings. Outside patio has cosy fire pit and decent size pool. But elevator was broken all weekend. Then the fire alarm rang at 9:30 am on Sunday. Ugh!!!
Lots of decent restaurants just up the street for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Would have given this hotel 4, maybe even 5 stars if it weren’t for the elevator and fire alarm SNAFUs.

Stayed here for a family wedding and was so pleased. The staff was helpful and even though we arrived early, our room was ready and we had a chance to rest before the event began, which was a short 6 miles down the road.
Can’t say enough about the front desk person who was friendly and so helpful. She even printed out a map for our destination as we were new to the area. The room was very, very clean and the kingsize bed was oh so comfy. Everything about this place was fresh and didn’t smell like cleaners as some do. The hallways were especially well-​lit which is important for older people.
We had our morning coffee from the coffee bar up front and it was delicious. The Bistro was not yet open for breakfast but we prefer to drive a bit before eating so not a problem.
Thank you Marriott Courtyard staff for a wonderful, comfortable stay and we will be returning for another visit.

We hosted our son & his new bride’s Rehearsal Dinner here on April 1^st. Sara Schmidt was our event specialist, she was phenomenal, professional & incredibly helpful. After a day filled with last minute details in regards to the wedding it was so very nice to come into the Courtyard Marriott and have the staff provide us with a wonderful evening. Sara & her staff made everyone of our 50 guest feel welcomed & special. The service was exceptional, professional & personal. Then came dinner ~ rave reviews from all our guest! The dinner was delicious! Thank you Sara & staff for a memorable evening, it was absolutely wonderful.

It’s ok. But just ok.
Not crazy about the «no microwave in the room unless it’s a suite» rule.
Pillows on the bed suck. Stayed here 2 nights and my neck needs a chiropractic adjustment.
Room was hot, room was cold. Couldn’t find a happy medium no matter what I did with the thermostat.
Forget about reading in bed here. Light is horrendous.
Next time I’m in the area interacting with accounts and require an overnight, I’ll try to find
something else for accommodations.

This is the second time I stay in this hotel and let me just say both times we had amazing service…
The person in front desk was super friendly and he even joked around with us even though we made him wait a little while…
We got two rooms, four people in each room. The rooms are spacious and clean. Very modern as well. The rooms come with Two queen beds that are super comfy. A bathroom with a walk in shower a night stand, a descent size closet, tv, and a desk.
I highly recommend this place. They have a nice little gym are and an amazing pool and jacuzzi with a patio area. I have yet to try them because I always stay here when I come to a retreat near by so by the time we get back it’s really late and we are extremely tired, but let me tell you that from the room that jacuzzi is truly calling for me, maybe next time!!!
So if you are looking for somewhere nice and comfortable to stay, with excellent customer care this is the place if you are in the are!!!
Oh and don’t mind the bad reviews come and give this place a try and see how it’s not what they say!!! Judge this place after you have given it a try for yourself!!!

Room are neat and updated the staff are helpful, no continental breakfast at this location.

Stayed here for a full month. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Occasionally, there were loud visitors who the staff quickly attended to upon request.

The worst experience ever. Staff are stiff robots. Follow policy like a dumb drone. Was not able to check in due to small technical error. Wife couldn’t use my credit card to check in under a reservation I made. Clearly no one there know about hotel business. Which is customer service not HIPPA. Good thing we never stayed. So you will never get our business no matter what

The quality of the property was entirely more than I had expected at $ 149.00 per night. From the lobby area to the room itself, lots of modern accents and extremely clean throughout. A nice little gym and pool area too. No complaints whatsoever. Living in the area and knowing the other options in a 5 mile radius, this would be my pick for out of town friends or family. The fact that the complex is buried in a business park, gives the impression of a heightened level of peace and quite (not to mention safety). Which I think a plus, in comparison to the convenience of being, say closer to the freeway, or along the coast highway. Both of which have their downside, as it relates to safety and noise levels. Another added bonus is the variety of food options in the mini shopping mall ¼ block up the street from the property. Soul Food/​BBQ, Italian, Deli, Mex Food, Pizza, and a Sports Bar. All within walking distance.
A great many features for the price point. A great experience all in all. Recommended.

Room was decent but pillows were flat, 2 shampoos no conditioner and no mirror outside of the bathroom. Add that to having to buy a second room to accommodate our group and therefore doubling our expense with no complimentary breakfast or any other support from the staff. We will not stay here again.

Front desk agent was a little snarky at check-​in last night but the hotel is newly renovated (actually renovation is still going on in the lobby). Beds were amazing. Pool, hot tub, fireplace are very pretty. Room lacks mirrors — they are only in the bathroom. We typically stay at full service hotels so I forgot that Courtyards don’t provide body wash and q-​tips. The Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner was nice. We appreciated the mini fridge. As a platinum Marriott member we expected an upgrade which we did not get. However they do give you 2 free items of your choice from the store and free wifi. This was a quick one-​night stay to visit family and we would definitely choose this hotel again.
We did notice one odd thing — there was a young pregnant woman in pajamas and bare feet who ae from a room behind a heavy plastic construction drape and walked into the front desk back office area around 11:30pm — that was weird. I think it was the night auditor’s wife.

Checking in was smooth, quick and friendly. We booked a junior suite and it is exactly what I thought it was going to be until we went to use the hide-​a-​bed. It is AWFUL! Our 11 year old asked if it needed to be inflated. You can’t say a room sleeps 5 or 6 if a bed is so bad it can’t even be counted as a bed. The room and hotel in general was very clean. The breakfast options were just enough and cocktails in the evening are a plus. The lobby is a nice cozy place to chill for a bit in the evenings. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

We only stay at Marriott hotels because we have a family discount and they are simply the best. That being said this property was just average. My first point of contact was with a young girl working the front desk. She was rude, unprofessional, seemed too busy to help me and just unpleasant in general. The room was great, clean and up to par. My biggest complaint was that my daughter got cut from broken glass out by the pool and despite my complaint, I have yet to hear a response from a manager addressing this problem. That is unacceptable and the glass wasn’t a drinking glass, but from a pipe used for marijuana (you could still smell it). Unexpected from a Marriott but a very real problem. I hope to hear from management soon, or I will follow up. Not satisfied with the professionalism.

Very clean place, very convenient location to really good restaurant and 10 stars for returning my daughter’s doll after almost a week of checking out. Thank you Lara!

Our stay in the room was fine (albeit very dark, there’s no natural light if you’re so lucky to stay in the lovely parking-​lot level rooms) but dealing with the front desk is HORRENDOUS.
1) Not professional — when checking in, the guy could not figure out how to run my credit card and had the hardest time looking up my reservation. Then, when we go into the parking lot to get our bags, he runs after us to get my credit card again, saying he accidentally didn’t swipe it the right way (?!?) What exactly he was doing the entire 15 minutes we were at the front desk I have no idea.
2) Any time we needed anything from the front desk, it was so.flipping.slow. Note: it was not busy, ever.
3) We stayed in November. I get a call in January that STILL they didn’t get my credit card and they want me to pay full price for the room? I’m sorry: you bumble, you need to give me a discount. They’ve been incessantly calling about it and then once I got a discounted rate (in writing, thank goodness) that they wanted, they jacked it up! So done with this place. I don’t understand why they need my $ 70 so badly. I’d think the Marriott corporation would be able to absorb that loss.
4) Location is awful. The only redeeming quality is Rosina’s around the corner. Other than that, there are no benefits! None!

Like staying off the beaten path ?
This is the place ! Miles from the freeway and off the Blvd. Very quiet. Comfortable rooms and beds. Large bathroom shower has glass doors, no more shower curtain sticking to you. Several places a short walk. Check out Big Bobs pizza

Marriots are fine and dandy, can’t complain
but…
FIX YOUR DAM RESERVATION LINES!!! Can’t hear them ever and its only the reservation desk line???

Courtyard. You can’t beat it. Being a Platinum member has its perks too. Free wifi, free goodies at check in.
The room is clean and very modern. The property looks brand new. Very well maintained.
