Beyond more «passive» theatergoing, DCDC allows its customers to actively engage in live and lively events. Our Oceanside Mission Marketplace (previously UltraStar) just converted to a Digiplex on 12÷20÷12. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Westfield, N.J., Digital Cinema Destinations Corporation is dedicated to transforming movie theaters it operates into interactive entertainment centers. Operating under the brand name, «Digiplex Destinations,» DCDC will provide consumers with uniquely satisfying experiences, combining the full promise of digital technology with engaging, dynamic content that far transcends traditional cinematic fare. DCDC customers will enjoy live sports events, concerts, conferences, operas, videogames, auctions, fashion shows and, on an ongoing basis, the very best of first-​run movies.

I had to update because I was really impressed with the attendant at the window tonight! The line was long for Deadpool and the couple before us asked for 4 tickets. 2 for them and 2 for 2 very young children. The attendant was very courteous but STRONGLY informed them that the movie is not for kids suggested they not take them in for it. He succeeded and they agreed to have the kids watch another movie. Too bad some other parents didn’t heed the suggestion for there were a few kids in the theater, but I really appreciate the effort! And the service at the popcorn counter was also 1st class tonight! I don’t go to movies often, but when I do, it’s always here!

My daughter and I go there on Tuesdays. $ 6 movie. I think they also offered $ 2 for popcorn or soda or something like that. I just remember it was a great deal to go on Tuesdays!

My husband and I enjoy coming here on Tuesdays when then have specials. It’s a good deal and you pay less to see movies that would cost twice as much at the nicer theaters. Friendly staff and clean theaters. They are old schools seats so don’t expect the stadium seating but the seats are comfortable.

For the price I’d go back. Not a place for a «dinner and a movie» date, though. It has the old folks home smell. Especially urine. Eew. It’s definitely an old theater but like I said, the prices aren’t as bad as krikorian (now cinepolis) or the regals by the mall or off mission.

Avengers: Age of Robert California (reference to The Office)!
It’s nice that a theater such as this one is still around as fancier, high-​techier ones are popping up everywhere. Feels old, like a relic, but it keeps current with the films. Ever since it changed ownership, from the UltraStar to Carmike, I think I’ve liked it better. Staff seems to take more ownership, even seem to enjoy working at a movie theater; whether they do or not is a different thing entirely.
The seating is okay. This place has those «experience» seats you have to pay extra to plant yourself in, but I’ve never actually seen them in use.
Again, I feel this theater radiates with an old Hollywood hotel (think bellhops and caged elevators; rusty debonair) feel.
Of course, expect to pay what you would for groceries on food and drink.

Still a fan of this place, although it could use some updating.
I use Dealflicks, so between that and tuesdays i never pay more than $ 6 a ticket here, including popcorn so for what its worth i enjoy coming here for movies I’ve already seen elsewhere or movies I wasn’t sure of.

I’ve come here a few times now– I love this theater. It’s close to home, the seats are comfortable, and the prices are reasonable in comparison to bigger chain movie theaters. It still sorta has that mom and pop business feel which I love. The traffic is steady but you can always count on a row to yourself which is nice. Definitely reccomend.

Def the worst movie theater in oSide. Bathrooms make you wanna wait till you get home. Cracks on trash cans. Ground looks faded but hey once the lights go out you don’t notice any of that. You will however notice the people who brought the dog to the movies. (I love dogs but really?) why do I come here? It’s less then a mile from my house and 6 $ on Tuesday n thursday. They have a hard time getting the popcorn right at this place. Welcome to my city!

This place has good prices and, this might not be important to n e one else but it is to me, the arm rests go up and down :) we’ve been there a couple times it’s always a nice experience clean comfy. The manager with the glasses is really nice I’m not sure what her name is but she’s blonde she’s so sweet.

I use to go to this place in highschool so I have a lot of great memories here. LION KING FTW.
However, I just went and saw a movie here and the poor place is in need of a serious makeover. This is an older theater and I’m all good with that but the room I was in smelled like a dirty diaper.
Even if this place was free I doubt I’d go back.

Place is hidden behind the shopping center. Clean theater fast service. It’s dated and old inside but it kinda works like an 80’s theme theater.

The trick is to go on Tues or Thursday. It’s the closest theater, so we end up here every couple weeks or so. $ 6 for adult ticket on Tues or Thurs.
I do see it as an older theater. It’s nice to not have to fight for a seat for the new releases, but it’s quaint and meets the basic needs of a theater.
If you want the crowds and the latest technology you’ll likely pass on this one though.
I’d like to see this theater become permanently discounted.

Depressing theater. Paid $ 14 for a 3D Planet of the Apes.
1. Does not dim light on trailers.
2. Low budget movie theater introduction.
3. Had ants crawling on me throughout the movie.
4. 2 stars because the movie and sound system worked.

So just like other reviewers said, the place is dirty and janky.
My husband and I went to watch Dawn of the planet of the Apes last night, and we had such a hard time watching. Why? Because there were ants crawling on us like crazy!
How hard is it to keep the theater clean so there aren’t ants crawling on everyone who sits down? I was constantly squirming and itching and trying to get ants off that I could barely enjoy the movie.
We also checked in here for the free drink, they do honor that. But after setting the drink in the cup holder and having ants crawling all over us, we didn’t take another sip of the drink.
Needless to say, we will never be coming back to this theater. The extra drive someplace else, even to Irvine if need be, is much more worth it.

I have watched this theater go downhill and become forgotten and rundown over the years, but I think it has improved recently after it was bought by digiplex.
I like to come here because of the convenience of the location and emptiness of the theater. Rest assured that no movie will ever sell out or have all of the seats taken, even with the smaller theaters that are here. Tickets are also a lot cheaper here than other movie theaters – even $ 6 or so on Tuesdays

Stay clear of this theatre. We have never been to this one before and will never go back. It is ghetto.
You go down a scary elevator to a very secluded opening that feels really unsafe. That is the outside.
We purchased our tickets and she wrote on our tickets the correct theatre number since the wrong one printed out on it. No big deal, that was seemingly helpful. Yet when we went into the very outdated and run down theatre, we found ourselves in a small theatre with about 6 people. Half had 3d glasses on, which we were not seeing a 3d movie. So we asked them what they were seeing, they said, «Godzilla» in 3D! So we asked an older gentlemen what movie he thought he was seeing and he said, «Million Dollar Arm». Neither of those movies were the one we paid to see. LOL.
We ran out to the guy and noticed she had chose the wrong movie for us on our tickets in the first place and the guy at the entrance directed us to our correct movie which we now walked in on late.
Oh well, it was not the worst experience, but won’t be going back to that theatre nor will I recommend it.

Eh… It’s a movie theater. Not the best cared for around town.
When we got to our theater, about 10 minutes before the film started, the commercials were playing but no audio. One of the ladies in the theater went to tell an employee. Then about 5 minutes later everything turned off. When nothing started playing even 5 minutes after the movie start time my husband had to go tell another theater employee.
Not sure if they were understaffed or they just didn’t care.
Finally everything started (with sound — WHOO HOO). The Digiplex preview/​commercial is super long and slow, but I guess when the theater looks like it does they don’t have tons of extra money to make a decent advertisement.

This place is alright. Tuesdays and Thursdays are $ 6 movies and I came here to watch 47 Ronin, which was an amazing movie but the theatre quality is eh. I thought it may have been my eyes but when my boyfriend mentioned how blurry the screen was, and he has 20⁄20 vision. I knew something was up.
Overall, the staff is friendly but it’s not my favorite spot. It’s good enough for $ 6 Thursday tho!
