Amazon Bikes

The store is nicely set up, the walls are covered with gear and bikes hang neatly. I already knew what I was looking for, but it seems like they have a good selection for all biking needs. Scooter was helpful though it seemed a little like he would rather sell you a bike instead of the best possible bike for you, and you got the sense that his sister with purple hair who also works there knew what she was talking about, and seemed less like she was playing a salesperson than simply being helpful, very much a people person and very knowledgeable. I was extremely impressed with her

I recently purchased a new bike through Amazon Bikes, and they were helpful and very informative! I can’t give them the full five stars because they do not offer an initial bike fit when you purchase a bike like most stores I’ve talked to do, and they charged $ 25 to cut my seat post (which would have also been part of the initial fitting if it was offered). I do appreciate the fact that they advised me on some preventative measures to help protect my frame and took the time to answer any questions I had. It was overall a very good experience and I would definitely go back.

The owner, Frank, is rude, argumentative, and defensive. I brought my bike in with squeaking brakes. They charged me $ 40 for a tune-​up but the brakes weren’t any better when I picked it up! When I asked them to look at it again, I was told it would cost as much as $ 200 to fix my problem. I told Frank that I was fine paying for the additional repair and I wanted to give him the business, but I asked that the $ 40 be applied to the repair cost. He got super argumentative and defensive, and eventually told me that he’d refund my $ 40 if I was really not satisfied, but that I just needed to pick up my bike and go. I explained again that I wanted to give him the additional business, so that I would just prefer to apply the $ 40 to the additional repair. He said no, that he was not interested in my business, and I should just get my refund and pick up my bike. He left like $ 160 on the table just because he’s too stubborn! I will absolutely never go back here again. The one bright spot was his employee, Jake, who was super helpful start to finish, and was very apologetic and understanding. I wish I could somehow give my business to Jake without knowing the money was going to Frank!

After Frank put my treasured bike back together for the upteenth time (my mode of transportation to my job), I have to give a shout out to his shop. Not only is the merchandise reasonable priced and excellent quality, his mechanical skill is superior. For years, he kept my Ironman bike problem free as I trained for that crazy race, and for even longer, he has kept my street bike solid as I daily ride it to work. I am hard on my bike, and I don’t bring it in as often as I should. No problem for Frank. He diligently fixes it without missing a beat, and quickly has me safely ready to go in no time. I’ve been to many bike shops, and most were good. This bike shop, however, is superior! I am forever grateful for Amazon Bike Shop’s integrity, ability, and just plain great prices!

Just mediocre. Nothing special about this place. No one is excited to help or go out of their way for you. Not my idea of good service.

They are really friendly and helpful here! Especially Adam and Doug. They helped me pick out the right bike.
I also come here for accessories, they have a great selection and their pricing is reasonable.
Frank is really helpful and approachable as well, he’s the owner. Overall the couple times I’ve been in, I’ve only had a positive experience.

I visited Amazon bikes before taking the time to check their reviews a few weeks ago and wasn’t impressed. I wanted to buy a new Giant 1, and figured since they specialized in Giant bicycles it would be a great place to go. I was wrong. I received no help from staff when I attempted to ask questions and was treated like a child. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Also. take a moment to search about Amazon Bikes online. There are multiple forums where people have shared their problems with Amazon Bikes and there are enough people complaining that it can’t just be a coincidence!

I took my Marin in for a tune-​up and was told that they didn’t have a bolt they needed for the neck of my bike. Instead of ordering the bolt, they told me I could drive around to hardware stores to find the bolt or I could purchase a new neck for $ 50. After visiting two hardware stores I was advised that bike bolts are only carried by bike dealers. So I had to pay $ 50 for a new neck because Amazon wouldn’t order a $.50 bolt for me. I’m not sure I believe they didn’t have the correct bolt.
Finally, I took my bike in with a particular problem which was not fixed. My brakes were not adjusted properly. I won’t return.

Great service. Fair pricing. Just upgraded to a new bike and they were very helpful with suggestions and advice. I’ll be back.

I have been coming here for 10 years with no issue. I like to support people who support the military. Prices are fair and employees have a good attitude. I have bought bikes, tune ups and helmets all with no issue.

I’ve been going to Amazon for about 8 years and have nothing but positive experiences. Frank is always helpful and informative. He always greets me by using my name. The employees that work there are knowledgable and helpful. The work they do on my bike is always top notch. I went in to upgrade my bike and finally bought a pretty expensive one. I was satisfied with the bike and the price. Upon arriving home I found a message from Amazon stating that the bike I bought was going to be discounted soon and they would like to refund me 200 $ (who does that these days) They definitely have me as a loyal customer and I refer everyone to Amazon bikes! Well I saw a bike I liked for a pretty good prize. But the workers were super rude didn’t even acknowledge us. Not even a glance. I thought maybe if I walk In front of them they will say something. But nope! They lost a sale. Is rather go down the street and pay double the price for good customer service. Don’t wast your time here people!

Thank you Amazon! The staff has always been top notch when maintaining my bike! They are one of the only shops around that sells and services hydraulic brakes and they have a great selection of components. I have always had great service here and look forward to returning!

I really want to support this shop but I can’t. They make rookie mistakes and then don’t take responsibility for them. For instance, my husband bought a bike from them, at their recommendation, and he has had nothing but problems with it. Last week they replaced his schrader valve wheel with a presta valve wheel. When he got the bike home and noticed the mistake, they told him over the phone that he can just fix it himself. You call that customer service? They are either lazy, ignorant or con artists. Or maybe all three judging by their reaction every time we have a problem with their products or service. Like I said, I really want to support them being a local business. They also hire ex-​military which is great. But all that can’t negate their lousy service and flip attitude towards customers. It’s time to put my foot down and say no more Amazon bikes in our house.

I came into this store for a tune up on my road bike. The tire pressure was lower than when I brought it in, and I asked if they would mind adding some air.
They abruptly dropped a floor pump next to me and went back to what they were doing. When I asked for help, the owner rolled his eyes at me, and looked at me like I was really putting him out. I had just spent $ 90 there and was new to the style tube I was using, and this Shop made me feel stupid for being new. Try the shop on vista and coast hwy, at least they are helpful and appreciate the business.

So funny to read all the bad reviews the Frank guy has got an answer for everything… there is no way you have an excuse for your punk employee who laughed at my husband… he is the one that drives his mommies Mercedes. How sad and I really hope you higher for attitude and train for skill in the future… no name tags… no hi I’m whoever can I help you… they let 2 people outside (while laughing at my husband) alone for 15 minutes… we own businesses and the customer is always right… how about apologize… too bad your staff made my family feel like you guys are too good for us… my little boy had to pee… saying out loud mom I have to pee I have to pee… they wouldn’t let the little guy use their bathroom… dude I don’t care if it’s your policy blah blah blah… how sad… YOU WOULDNT HAVE TO DEFEND YOURSELF SO MUCH IF YOU HAD BETTER RATINGS… go to the bike shop’s ratings and read why they have awesome reviews AND MAYBE APPLY IT TO YOUR PLACE… don’t piss off the locals and don’t laugh at my husband… punk…I don’t think treating people especially military families such as ours with wounded warriors in our family is respectful… I’m really mad and I’m so happy that I have this outlet… I really hope you guys learn from this… my son will never treat any one like that… you should be ashamed of yourself kid.

You know how they say … third times a charm? We’ll for me there will be no third time. I gone in twice now, both times with the intent of buying. Ist time was to buy a quality BMX bike for my 5 year old. That time the salesman just made no effort to assist me. I was asking good question, had a fair idea or what i thought we needed and was looking for confirmation, direction and we’d have left with a bike. But, I got dead eyes, no effort and just plain laziness tainted by what felt like arrogance.
2^nd time (this weekend) I went in to get parts for the BMX we’d purchase elsewhere and our old practice bike. Though their were three salesmen there, the one I drew first, could offer little assistance … and again, I had a good idea of what I wanted. Then, he sort of gravitated away and another salesmen started answering my questions and pointed me towards another wall of parts. Where I found some of what I wanted but one item was not exactly what i needed. So I began asking if they could confirm whether it could be modified and if so, how or better yet if they could assist. By then my wife who had gone outside to let the salesmen know there were two people outside looking at bikes that had been there awhile unassisted and appeared to be leaving. However, when she enters, she finds me attempting to ask questions and literally pulling information out of two salesmen. But, what I did not know, was she found the third salesmen behind me (out of my sight) laughing and gesturing silently about my efforts. She then told him to go outside and help the people. She did not tell me what he was doing until later, so I purchased what they had and left.
After getting in the car and pulling away, she explained what she had found the salesman doing and reminded me of how we were treated when we came to buy a bike. Moral of this story … Go to Alan’s Bike Shop or somewhere else, these guys at Amazon obviously don’t need the business.

Nothing but good things to say. I was looking to get back on a bike after about ten years. No clue what I wanted but glad I stopped at Amazon to check them out. Great experience for me from everyone in the shop.
Frank takes his time with each customer so you might need to wait but well worth it. He took the time to figure out the perfect bike for me, special order it, and get me two options for size to try. A week later I returned and got nothing but great service from the young lady working there. Very knowledgeable and helpful!
I love my new Cypress LT. I checked out several other shops in the area but no one took the time or the effort like the Amazon team to get me the right bike.

We purchased two expensive but good quality bikes for our kids here, along with the supposed Lifetime Warranty complete with stickers on the bikes. Imagine my surprise when my 17 year old son went for his first tune-​up after 5 years and was questioned as to the authenticity of the sticker. Very disappointed and disenchanted, as was my son. We had to search for a receipt to prove this and then it ended up costing us $ 70 to repair anyway. Nothing like being charged for something you don’t receive. I will not purchase from this store again. If you decide to and get the warranty, read the terms and scan the receipt, even if they put a sticker on your bike. They trust no one and you will need it. :(

Amazon bikes is awesome. They have a great selection of bikes and accessories. On top of that, the staff is amazing. They definitely know their stuff– about bikes and customer service.
I regret not buying my hybrid from them but they will be a first stop when it comes time to purchase another one. I have had two flats. I brought it in here. They made sure everything was okay and it was. All I needed was air. No hassle. No pressure to buy anything. I wasn’t charged anything for having them check out my bike and pumping air into my tires.
