Crab cake are delicious with full taste of crab! Great view of the harbor. Ideal for nice lunch. Not easy to find if you are a tourist but definitely worth it. The restaurant is almost like a gallery dedicated to the sea with some shark decorations… Really nice!

I hesitated about telling people how wonderful this restaurant is because it is already so popular but they do take reservations so here we go. Several yummy lunches and an amazing brunch today have sold us! We live in Bethany so it is a hike but well worth the drive. Menu changes often food is imaginative, tasty, and fairly priced. The smoked cheddar biscuit is wonderful, all brunch entrees Looked great but the showstopper today was the pumpkin biscuit with the white chocolate coconut butter and orange bourbon preserves– preserves and butter change weekly! Good wine and beer selection, I had a split(actually I had 2) of champagne for $ 8!

The best lunch I have ever had. The chef knows how to put wonderful flavors together. I do not live close by but, I cannot wait to get back as soon as possible. Just wonderful presentation, food and atmosphere, view. all amazing. This is my new favorite and it will be hard to measure up to this.

Menu is wonderful. The vegan, vegetarian and gluten free entrees and desserts are fantastic. The entire menu is inspired. Upscale food in a casual scenic setting. Can’t wait to come back and try other dishes.

A friend recommended my family and I to tried this restaurant, whenever I was in Ocean City. First I have to point this out as a tourist, finding this place was a little difficult to find and during at night… well let just said we got very acquainted driving in circles. The environment and the atmosphere was very fun to look and experience. I felt like I was submerge in the ocean… maybe an aquarium too with all the makeshift shark decorations hanging on the ceiling and the projection of the fake aquarium above the dining area. The food overall was wonderful, however my friends who was with me were saying it was tad salty. I had the pan sear tuna, which was ascetically beautiful, but I found the flavor of the dish was supported through the different sauces and not the food itself, which was little disappointing. We also had the crabs cakes to share and it was quite mouthful of crab, which to my surprise was very enjoyable, since many crab cakes has too many fillers in them.

For years, I have eaten FABULOUS meals at Shark on the Harbor… BUT, today’s lunch prompted this review — I was HUGELY disappointed! I ordered the Herb Crusted Cod lunch special sandwich, and I chose an accompanying salad. First, however, we ordered the bread service… and it went downhill from there. We were served some sort of baked pan bread… whole grain, not very tasty. It was served with butter(you can’t mess up butter), but the pimento spread was horrid and did not blend well with the type of bread served. In its defense, the cod was a generous portion, served very hot(a good thing), with a lackluster caper aioli on a bun that was waaay too big and served to drown out the taste of the cod. Other sandwich accompaniments included a hunk of romaine and a slice of tomato that I am certain was store bought. Good local tomatoes can still be found, and for a restaurant that purports to put local on the menu, I would have passed on them if I were the chef. The cod, however, was perfectly cooked, very flavorful… so I turned my sandwich into an open face to really enjoy the delicious fish. Another huge disappointment was the side salad… Shark’s salads are usually a delight to the palate… a textural blend of many kinds of greens that I have ALWAYS enjoyed in the past. However, my salad consisted of blobs of romaine, two or three slices of cucumber and ONE cherry tomato, cut in half. I have been reading recent reviews from the last few months, which are mixed. I am not sure what is happening to Shark, but I want the old Shark back!(PS — My dining partner said her mussels with Andouille were far inferior to other mussels dishes she had eaten at Shark)

This used to be my favorite restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland. Over the last 5 years, I’ve been to Maryland 4x and came here 4x as well because the quality was simply amazing. I’m not sure if they switched chefs but my experience was a lot different now than from how it used to be. Don’t get me wrong, the food is still good but not as amazing as I remembered. Back in the days, they didn’t focus on using different sauces to make the flavor of the dish. They truly used to focus on the freshness of the seafood to bring out the true favor of the dish. Now, i felt like the food has gotten significantly more salty. =(

We stopped by this place on a Sunday afternoon as we were heading out of ocean city. It’s out of the way of the typical tourist spots which is probably a good thing. Brunch ends at 3pm but lunch is served until 4:30. We ordered the crab dip stuffed artichokes, burger, and a salad with crab cake. The stuffed artichokes were good, though they would have been better with a bit more crab. The burger was on Point, super juicy with perfect toppings. It came with a side of fries which weren’t out of this world, but definitely hit the spot. The crab cake on the salad was one of the best I’ve ever had. The salad itself was pretty basic, but everything was fresh so no complaints. In addition to the food, we got a bloody Mary and beer. The bloody Mary was excellent. This is a great option, especially in a place which doesn’t have too many good(none boardwalk) food spots.

The shark restaurant was very good. It was our second time. The heathy menu had a good variety. I had the big eye tuna. It was cooked perfectly and the black rice was very good .The only comment would be for the sauce to have a little more flavor. My son had the soft shell crab entrée and loved it. My wife love the vegetarian entrée and enjoyed it. It’s very difficult to cook and eat healthy and make it taste great with out adding lots of salt, oil and butter. The shark did an excellent job in having a healthier option and we would be back !!!

What I enjoyed most about this restaurant was the location. It has a wall of windows overlooking the bay and fishing boats. We grabbed a bite here before going out for a boat ride ourselves. The food and cocktails pretty good. We had an appetizer of Shark Bites, which came with a tasty sauce. For our entrées we ordered 2 different types of fish sandwiches. They were both just ok, but not as flavorful as we had expected. The descriptions were more impressive than the sandwiches themselves. The chips that came on the side were great! It seems like it would be a nice spot to hang out for a while during happy hour or late night.

This place is very cute and the staff was friendly but I was not a fan of the food. I got the soft shell crap sandwich and I felt like you tasted the bread and the friedness of it. Its definitely not something I would get again. My friend got the chicken wrap and she said it was ok. I tried the stuffed avocado which was interesting in a good way. I also had the crap dip which was good. Cute place but I don’t feel like its one of the better restaurants in Ocean City

The Shark on the Harbor is set on the harbor over the bridge. Nice set-up other then the smelly dumpster at the bottom of the stairs. Cute lighting and good visual appeal. Service was standard. Food in general was just A-ok. I had the soft-shell crab sandwich with fries. Decent but nothing to get excited about. The best thing I tried from the table was the cauliflower steak. It was super flavorful and did somehow mimic the texture of steak.

Cute place and staff was nice, but food was just OK. I am not a big seafood eater so just got the chicken wrap. The flavors were good and unique however it was pretty dry. A friend got the cauliflower steak and it was the best thing on the table. Others got a soft shell crab sandwich and they thought it was just OK. They wouldn’t get it again. The placement of the dumpster right under the entrance of the restaurant isn’t the best idea either. I feel there are better choices of restaurants in the area.

The shark is a place that the locals trust to provide clean healthy and responsibly sourced food in one of the most visually appealing locations at the beach! Amazing craft beer selection and awesome staff will make sure you have a great time and pleased palate.

Had a 930 pm reservation on a weekend night and was told there was nothing earlier. Showed up at 9 and was seated immediately… there were several open tables. They need to fix their reserves for walk-ins because there was plenty of space. We almost bailed because of the lack of earlier reservation time. The avacado with tuna was amazing. Had a slight kick. The avacado was warm and while tuna was chilled which made it a good contrast. Soft shelled crabs were nice and crunchy. Very good texture but I found it too salty. Crab cake sandwich was delicious. Good amount of crab. Bread was also delicious. Came with a cheese dip which looked better than it tasted. Great ambiance except for drunk belligerent table next to us. Not the restaurants fault but ruined much of the night.

Visited ocean city during the off peak season so nothing was open on the boardwalk. I was craving for some maryland seafood so I chose this restaurant based on some great reviews on Unilocal and not only that it’s not to far from the boardwalk. The restaurant had nice decors with dim lighting & candles on our table. Their menu is made daily based on their choice of fresh ingredients. My bf and I ordered the fishermens cream based soup composed lobster and andouille sausage. I got the mussels in buttered sauce. The serving size of the mussels was big enough for main dish. !! We then ordered lump crab with a side of veggies and the bf has mahi mahi with side of veggies. Lump crab was delicious but a little salty with some pieces of crab shells which was not good to munch on. Prices were on the side but considering we had seafood, the price was worth it Service was awesome! Our waitress was very knowledgable with the menu and she was extremely nice to us, in fact I noticed all their servers were pleasing to their customers. I had a good time so I would come back here when I’m in the area.
