Have been here in the past and had a bad experience. Decided it was time to try again and so glad we did. I wish KENO had been a little kinder but aside from that, our waitress(McKenzie) was super attentive and polite. Go here, people!

The calamari was delicious, not a large plate but it was good. The fish tacos I wouldn’t recommend. They put more tomatoes in the taco then fish and the pico de gallo had no flavor. For the price of the dish the quality was not up to scale. never again!

Great ambience and food. Not such great beer. A wonderful place for crabs right on the water but I’m not a fan of the Fin City brew. Go with Burley Oak, RAR, Evo or Dogfish for good local brews.

Kids loved that they could sit on one of the two boats they have anchored at the dock. The bacon wrapped scallops were very good, the crab soup was pretty much a minestrone soup with a crab claw in it. Crab claws were decent enough, New England Clam Chowder was okay, and the fish and chips was a generous portion. Nice that you can return with their plastic cups for discounted refills.

A great and unique experience! I have been dying to dig into some crab and I got it here! Only reason why I’m giving a star short of 5 is because our waiter didn’t seem to care too much. Everything we asked for or said she kinda gave a dumb stare. But over all the food made up for it

Every year, we make our way from NY to come here for the crabs and THIS place is a part of that tradition. The crabs were steamed to perfection. The corn was sweet and juicy. And, our server, Tonya… Went over the menu(not that she needed to), sat down with us, didn’t rush us(this year, we went to dinner fairly late) and helped us with unloading the bushel we purchased into our cooler. If you come out here, definitely check out this place! Oh, and try the drinks! Hooper Dooper Looper… Yummy!!!

Had the soft shell BLT and it was over breaded, over cooked and had no flavor. Will not return.

Stopped in late on a Tuesday when we needed to kill some time before family arrived to open up the house. The bartender was super friendly, bringing us cocktails without telling us they were past closing. She chatted with us and kept us company until we were done then politely let us know she couldn’t serve us anything more, as they’d closed 30 minutes prior. Love drinking out on the deck here during hot summer evenings.

Good if you like disappointment, great concept, bad food. as locals to the area we decided to try one of the tourist hot spots. Stay away if your looking for good food, mentioned bad mean to our server Michelle, sent over ½ back, didn’t even try to take care of anything.

Out of all the 29 years of my existence and the 14 times I’ve been to Ocean City I haven’t tried Sneaky Petes literally until today! My mom loved her Rubin sandwich, my daughter demolished her kids meal, and I munched the seasoned yumminess out of my burger. Absolutely delicious! We did get their cups, but the drinks were filling enough and didn’t realize how expensive they were, 6 dollars per, but hey this place rocks me and my family’s socks right off!

The kids thought it was cool to sit on the boat for dinner… my husband ordered softshell crabs which were horrible and burnt… even the second ones that they replaced. The fries were very tasteful and crispy. I had the crab soup which was yummy! We probably wouldn’t go back…

Would have been 3 stars but my last experience there took a star off. It’s a cool place to experience and say you were there. You have to walk down a dock in the middle of the bay to get to Sneaky Petes which is cool. From there you eat on either a boat or this little island dock that is surrounded by the water on all sides. It’s a neat experience but there are much better spots food quality wise. There are much more enticing menus in OCMD. I’ve been there multiple times and my experiences there have varied as I have tried a lot of the menu. The Steampot you don’t get much food and there are better spots to get your money’s worth Steampot-wise. Their special crab cake sandwich comes on a pretzel that makes the sandwich more difficult to enjoy. I would suggest getting the crab cake sandwich on a regular roll. The Maryland crab soup is pretty tasty and you get a crab leg in it which is pretty sweet. Their fish tacos and shrimp tacos are good as well. There is a Hawaiian chicken sandwich that hits the spot. Be warned though, they don’t give you many fries with your sandwiches. a From a raw bar standpoint, the shrimp have a nice spice on them and their clams are really huge which make them worth the money. One thing I will say though is AVOIDTHESPECIALS. My girlfriend got the crab-balls and she didn’t get them until everybody else was more than halfway through their food! We normally wait for everybody to get served before eating but it was at a point where our food was getting cold and we felt bad so we gave her some of our food while waiting. When we asked for an explanation our waitress told us «because we got a dish from the Specials it would take longer, but don’t worry it is in the oven.» She made it sound like they had to actually catch the crab before waiting. Why wouldn’t she have told us the specials take longer when we were ordering? And for the record the crab balls were not anything special. I would have given them three stars but this situation took one off. The reason I have been there multiple times is because my friend(from Maryland) went there a lot as a child so it’s a bit of a tradition. Bottom line is food-wise you can get a much better bang for your buck, not to mention selection. However if you want a neat dining experience and are okay with eating while sitting on a semi rocking boat, give this place a shot.

This was my second time eating at Sneaky Pete’s and I enjoyed it both times. The atmosphere is great. They have 2 boats that you can dine on, making it a unique experience. I had a steam pot, which came with a variety of steamed seafood for a reasonable price.

We went for lunch at Hoopers but were shunted to this tiki-like hut on the dock. We almost ditched waiting for a table, as the hostess had that deer in the headlights look and was a bit frigid. We hung in though and were glad to be seated in the main dining room rather than the goofy boats tied to the dock(we saw several near collisions and slip and falls of servers trying to get food and drinks to these boats and we assumed the service would slow considerably if it rained). Once seated, our server was very friendly and bartender went out of the way to satisfy our 7 year old’s pickiness. The food was well prepared and hot and the drinks were served quickly and cold. Overall a positive experience. We will probably visit again next trip.

Very nice atmosphere. The music is good not too loud. The food was very good as well, we just had apps. Nice view out on the water. The waitress did a good job too. I would recommend this place for a lunch or a few drinks and apps. Very nice and laid back

Love this place for hot, steamed crabs. When you sit out here it’s open air and you are over the water. The service was really quick and friendly ! If you need something you just raise your flag and the and they quickly get what you need. Most importantly the crabs were — as always — hot, and delicious. Skip the all you can eat and just go for the biggest size they have. Bigger crabs are much better!

I do not always eat crabs but when I do I eat them on a pirate ship. At first I was excited about eating lunchtime crabs at sneaky petes. It’s one of the few places open for AYCE crabs on the water for lunch. When I came in(note: it’s behind Hoopers on the docks), they sat me on a barge attached to the dock that looked like a pirate ship, and I excitedly texted my dining companion that we were seated in the pirate ship cause I am mentally about ten years old, he ended up replying with«oh good, for a second there I thought we were going to have a normal meal for once.» So there’s that, I guess not everyone loves meals in a pirate ship, including the guy next to me who slowly turned green and boat wakes got the best of him(this place is conveniently located next to a jet ski rental place on the water so expect a little motion in the ocean with your meal). We ended up ordering a dozen large crabs because it seemed more economical than the AYCE option($ 31 for medium and large crabs), hushpuppies and a pitcher of honey wheat beer. Honestly, I thought the crabs were quite good and sizeable and not too overloaded with their old bay like seasoning. The beer tasted a little skunked. I only made it through two crabs and about 5 claws, when I felt a little ill and stopped my crab feast. It’s a little unusual because well I never give up on crabs and also after years of sailing, surfing, living on the water, and kayaking, I have my sea legs. I felt ill throughout the day and well into the night, without any other food in my system either the beer or crabs might be suspect. My friend was ill as well. So be warned, the next time you eat crabs on a pirate ship keep the crab shell bucket close.

I was all ready to give this place 3 stars for some solid crabs and hush puppies but then both me and my dining partner got sick last night. Considering Sneaky Pete’s is the only place we yesterday, it had to be from either the crabs or beer(it tasted very off). If you do decide to go here, don’t eat in one of the boats. It definitely made us a little nauseous too.

M lady knew about this place from her childhood. I wanted to smash some shells, so we ordered the crab claw app and the crab cake platter entrée. Pretty good. Right on the water. They have souvenir cups and a gift shop. That kind of place.

We happened to eat at Sneaky Pete’s by accident. Our reservations were for Hooper’s but the wait was still 30mins. As we grabbed a beer and walked around we took a walk along the dock to Sneaky Pete’s. They said they had a table open so we took it. Sneaky Pete’s consists of(2) boats docked with tables and a small building at the end of the pier. They have most of the same items that Hoopers has except the all you can eat crabs is just crabs and corn. When you have the all you can eat at Hoopers you get the fried chicken, hush puppies etc. On the end of the table there is a flag that is used to let your server know what you need. Depending on where you have the flag your server will know if you need to order or want the check. There is a parking meter on the end of the table that collects money to allow less fortunate people to come to the beach. Our server came over quickly to take our drink order. They have a beer special that is $ 5 for the first beer and $ 2.50 for the rest. You get to keep the cup also. A few of us ordered the basket of crab claws and it was only $ 7.99! This was such a fantastic deal. When the baskets came they were overflowing with claws. When I go back I’m just going to order(3) of these for my meal. The scallops wrapped in bacon were large and very tasty. The main dinners that we chose were mostly seafood combos & one crab cake sandwich. They were average at best. All in all it’s a cool place to grab some apps and drinks but if you are looking for a really good seafood dinner this prob isn’t the place.
