Atlantic House Bed & Breakfast

WONDERFUL! Beautiful, cozy, accommodating; just a few words to describe this wonderful Bed and Breakfast. Growing-​up near by, I have been to my fair share of Ocean City hotels. Now as an adult, I can say I have found my favorite, most memorable place to stay! The owners are the nicest and most warm people you could meet. They have set-​up an establishment that goes above and beyond to be accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. I give this place 10 stars! I cannot wait to visit again!

We stayed here on a Thursday night for our quick trip to Ocean City. It was expensive, but it really had a welcoming atmosphere you could never get at a hotel. It felt like we were staying with family! We were checked in quickly and offered refreshments! We got a nice little room on the bottom floor that had everything we needed. There was a nice cottage style swing and porch setting for us to use as well. You can sit on the many porches and people watch late into the evening. Atlantic House has a hot tub and offers real beach towels to use there or at the beach. We asked the owners for recommendations for good seafood in the area (where the locals go, not us silly tourists) and they were very happy to help us! Not only did they recommend a great place, but they gave us great directions to it as well. In the morning we had homemade scones and waffles for breakfast in a beautiful, sun-​bathed porch on the main level. We shared conversations with the owners and some other guests. Best of all, this place is ONE BLOCK from the boardwalk and beach, literally across the street. This place was totally worth the extra money and we will look for a room here again the next time we are in OCMD.

The Atlantic House in OC earned a five star rating. I am now spoiled and want to stay in B&B’s whenever traveling. My husband and I checked in and were warmly greeted, given assigned parking and offered afternoon refreshments. Our room was just precious and had an outdoor sitting area that was relaxing and homie. The cottage style beach-​chic décor added to the experience. Our hosts gave us excellent recommendations for local activities and dinner. They were SO nice, they genuinely seemed to care that we enjoy our stay with them and in OC as well. The breakfast was amazing… buffet style with quiche, Belgian waffles and assorted home baked goodies! We’ll be back to Ocean City and will stay in the Atlantic House again soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Atlantic B&B. Josephine & Brian are very hospitable. From homemade breakfast to the midnight snacks, they made your stay feel so warm & welcoming.

I wanted to begin with a special thank you to Brian and Josephine for accommodating us for our first visit to OC. We were greeted as soon as we got there. We stayed in the top floor in room number 7. The positives about this room is we had our own private bathroom inside room and good view off Baltimore Ave. Some things you should keep in mind the bathroom is tight and not the hugest bed and room. But me and my girlfriend did not mind as we weren’t on planning to spend much time in the room. Plus we got a nice view of Baltimore Ave
The breakfasts were pretty good and consisted of mostly all homemade prepared meals. It beats a continental breakfast any day. There is a hot tub on one of the platforms on the second floor but never got the opportunity to use it. Other things you should know is parking is provided in Comfort Inn lot, you are one block away from the beach/​Boardwalk, and check out is at 11am.
Overall I had a great time and if I am in OC again I will probably stay here.

My husband and I were celebrating our 5^th wedding anniversary and we’re looking for our first B&B experience, Atlantic House exceeded our expectations. The location is amazing, a block from the board walk. Next Brian and Josephine greet you at the door with their warm and welcoming personalities. You can tell they honestly love what they’re doing. They gave detailed explanations of what to expect from our experience and even gave us a mini bottle of wine as an anniversary gift. The B&B itself was very home-​y and comfortable. I loved the shabby chic beach décor. We stayed in room 1 which was adorable! And comfortable too. It had a private bath and the bed had a foam topper and a down filled blanket-​BONUS that’s my favorite kind of blanket! There was a group of teenage girls staying with a chaperone and surprisingly we couldn’t hear them. In the morning breakfast is served from 8−10am before check out at 11. The breakfast was DELICIOUS! They baked an egg bake casserole, and had a waffle maker for us to make waffles, which were light and fluffy and yum! They had ripe fresh fruit, and some pastries, and cereal boxes. The kicker for me though, was the freshly squeezed orange juice! So good!!! I plan on recommending this place to any and everyone I know. I’m more than happy and satisfied with our stay. Oh, one last thing, they also have a hot tub and provide you with beach towels if you need them! Thank you Brian and Josephine for our first B&B experience, any other place we may try has some big shoes to fill.

Just stayed the weekend it was awesome place. Breakfast was awesome each morning. Brian and Josephine are the best hosts. Will definitely go again and recommend everyone to check it out and stay.

This place is simply amazing! Just feet from all the action of the boardwalk yet quaint and homey. We’re talking about the type of place where not one piece of furniture is alike and homemade baked goods are set out for you in the evening.
Our room was nice and super clean. We stayed in Room 9, which is a smaller room on the third floor that shares a bathroom with another guest room. The shared bathroom was a bit of a concern originally but was never an issue during our actual stay. The bathrooms were clean and always accessible when needed. Never felt as if we were even sharing.
The owners/​Innkeepers Brian and Josephine are genuinely nice people who are incredibly friendly. We were graciously greeted for a late check in and were immediately treated like family. No, not like extra towels and mints on your pillow «family». I mean easy to talk to, relatable and truly concerned with making your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.
The breakfast was ridiculously tasty! The menu included fresh fruit, delicious assorted pastries, ham and cheese quiche, crispy bacon, savory sausage patties, five cheese egg bake (so good), coffee and fresh juices. Oh you like homemade waffles? Well how about blueberry waffles? Better yet, how about strawberry waffles in a beautiful sun room facing the boardwalk? Yeah, it’s that kind of place.
I selfishly would prefer to keep this place to myself because it really was such a great overall experience but if you’re looking for a place to stay in Ocean City, look no further than the Atlantic House Bed & Breakfast. Great for couples, young and old alike!

I had never stayed in a B&B before, but we wanted to go to Ocean City, and all the hotels we could afford were kinda … sketchy. So we tried Atlantic House instead, and I would go back in a heartbeat. It was great!
The whole place feels like home, except it’s someone else’s house, and they’re really great hosts. The owners are Brian and Josephine, and they introduced themselves right off the bat when we entered, all smiles and helpfulness, then showed us around and helped us get settled in. They were great throughout, full of information (including a great tip about a free concert the first night we were there). Brian even made a point of saying goodbye as we were going– it was important to them that we had a good time. And we really did!
The breakfast was wonderful– homemade egg casserole or quiche (depending on the morning), sausage or bacon, plenty of homemade sweets, and happily lots of fruit. Plus plenty of coffee.
The amenities, generally, were great. The room was cozy, with a nice old bed*, a place to hang your clothes if you’re into that, and a fridge. We stayed in room 6, which has a shared bathroom, to save money, but there was never a line and we did not regret that decision. There’s also a hot tub, free beach towels and chairs for guests, and the kind of cozy decorations that remind you of your grandparents’ house. Old books, fake portholes, and everything.
One note: I didn’t want to take a a star off for this, but the bed did creak fairly loudly. I toss and turn at night, and it was fairly loud. It would have been a problem, except my partner had no problem falling back asleep and didn’t even remember it waking her up (it did). With a different couple it would have been more of a problem, but I won’t take a star off since it didn’t create a problem for us. Just be warned.

My friend and I recently visited Ocean City for the first time and stayed at Atlantic House for three nights. I was a bit wary staying at a B&B for the first time, but I couldn’t have had a better experience! Brian and Josephine were incredibly kind and accommodating. Brian helped unload my car and carried our bags up to our room! They had excellent suggestions for places to go and where to eat, and it seemed important to them that we were enjoying OC, and what it had to offer. The location was excellent as well — a block to the beach and boardwalk.
The breakfasts each morning were great! I’m a vegetarian and they went out of their way to make meat-​free options for me every day! Delicious baked goods were left out every evening as well. My favorite was the chocolate chip cookies!
My only regret is we never got around to trying out the hot tub. Maybe next time!

This was our first visit to Delmarva and to Ocean City. We’ve been bicycling around the peninsula and staying in B&Bs whenever possible. Atlantic House is one of the best. The location is great and so is the food, but what makes it the best are the innkeepers: Brian and Josephine. They make every guest feel special and like family — Brian offers to carry everyone’s luggage upon arrival — and they are pleasant and fun. They really went above and beyond. We will definitely come back and I will recommend Atlantic House to all my friends. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Without a doubt the Atlantic House was one of the most spectacular B&B experiences my wife and I have had.
The B&B is in a great central location in Ocean City, easy access to boardwalk, the ‘downtown’ area, beach, etc. Cute rooms, free wifi, best crème brûlée french toast breakfast I’ve ever had, and tasty apple brownie bars with tea and coffee in the evening.
Brian and Josephine, the owners and inn keepers are some of the friendliest people I’ve met, and certainly the most attentive of inn keepers, but certainly not overboard by any means.
Great place, great people, highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I visited Ocean City for the first time last month and stayed at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast. This was my first B&B experience, and it was really wonderful! The price is very reasonable. The rooms are cozy, clean, comfortable and stocked with all necessities. The location is very convenient; close to the beach and boardwalk, but not right on it. The breakfast is suuuuper delicious (think brekfast casseroles, danishes, bacon, eggs, coffee, fruit, muffins, everything you could want! And they keep bringing it as long as you keep eating it!). There is also cake, and other treats, offered throughout the day. However, by far the best thing about the Atlantic House is its owners — Brian and Josephine are two of the most friendly, accomodating, personable people I have had the pleasure of meeting. They go out of their way to ensure their guests are well taken care of. Here are just two examples that I think really highlight how great they are:
— We were stuck in traffic on our way from DC and weren’t going to arrive til 10pm… well after check out time was over. Not only did Brian accomodate this, he googled directions for alternate routes for us as we were driving and called us with traffic updates
— We were there for St. Patrick’s Day, and not only did they hang out with their guests during the day, they made corned beef and cabbage for everyone, and shared their bottle of Jameson!
You really can’t go wrong staying here. The crowd is varied in age (20 somethings up through elderly couples), and great whether you’re looking for a social hang out, or a couple’s getaway. Some people hung out and spent time with other guests, but it was also very private and easy to get away. It honestly felt like we were guests in our relatives’ house rather than guests in a B&B. I would highly recommend the Atlantic House to any visitors of Ocean City.

My husband and I went here for a one night stay just to get away. Friendliest B & B owners ever! Very gracious and accommodating. We absolutely loved the breakfast in the morning. My girlfriend and I visited Ocean City for the first time last week and we could not have possibly had a better time. Much of that was due to this amazing B&B. Brian and Josephine are the nicest, most friendly hosts anyone could ever ask for while staying at a Bed & Breakfast.
The Atlantic House is just steps away from the boardwalk and located in the most convenient /​fun part of Ocean City. The bedrooms are beautiful and clean, and the breakfast nook is incredibly charming. We both agreed on our last day that we really didn’t want to leave.
Coming from New York City, we decided that Ocean City is the best possible vacation locale within (reasonable) driving distance that you could take. If you’re looking for a fun weekend in Ocean City and a great place to stay that feels like home, look no further than The Atlantic House!

Stayed here with a friend on 8÷16÷2013. The owners were fantastic, very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were nice and clean and breakfast was served daily. Great location, less than a block from the beach and you don’t have to deal with the boardwalk noise. We plan on going back next year for an entire week.
Tip: The Fractured Prune doughnut shop is friggin awesome. I dont even like doughnuts but we went there twice a day while in Ocean City.

If you’re looking for a quaint B&B, gracious hosts, a block away from the boardwalk/​beach, then Attantic House is an ideal choice for your Ocean City pleasure. Brian and Josephine were such accommodating hosts. The Atlantic House breakfast buffet started at 8am and plates and silverware were on the table to help yourself to a hot entrée, fruit, variety of juices, coffee, tea, pastries, as well as a ‘make your own waffles’ station. Seating was available in the breakfast nook and front porch area. We weren’t the biggest fans of the homestyle breakfast buffet only because other B&Bs we have visited often serve breakfast around the dining room table at a set time to encourage socializing with other guests. We stayed in Room 7 on the the third floor –one of the rooms with it’s own private bathroom and a mini-​fridge. We would have liked a larger tv and bathroom, but overall it was a comfortable and cozy retreat. Josephine recommended Seacrets for our entertainment pleasure and On the Bay Restaurant for all-​you-​can-​eat crabs. Seacrets is a must do daytime or nighttime – an open air bar/​music venue located on 49^th St (don’t skip the Pain In De — signature cocktail). On The Bay Restaurant was perfect choice for for $ 25 All-​You-​Can-​Eat Crabfest located on 42^nd St (don’t skip the corn on the cob).
PROS: Conveniently located midway up the length of the boardwalk. Beach shuttle bus (B) could be accessed just across the street. Hot tub on the deck. Warm cookies in the evening. Beach towels and chairs.
CONS: No bicycles. No handicap accessible ramps.
TIPS: Boardwalk stops we recommend: Thrasher’s fries with vinegar, Piezano’s Pizza, Fisher’s caramel popcorn, and the Alaska Stand for burgers, hot dogs, etc.
OVERALL: Great location, free WiFi, and pleasant hosts.

I write this as my family and I are in the middle of our fourth stay at the Atlantic House. You couldn’t ask for a better location (one block off the boardwalk) or better hosts. The accommodations are always clean and in great shape. The breakfasts and afternoon snacks are amazing. The hosts are so warm and friendly and make you feel like family. They’ll help you with anything you could possibly need and sit on the porch with you in the evening and chat over a glass of wine. It would be difficult, if not impossible, to find a better place to stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over the Labor Day weekend and it was great. The owners are awesome. They know so much about the area, restaurants and the breakfast was the best, I didn’t even have to eat lunch!
The best part was that the owners remembered all the small details about our stay. We told them that we would have to leave very early in the morning and they left us to-​go cups for our coffee, its the little things :)
We will definitely stay again if we vacation in the area and I highly recommend this B&B.

Coming here feels like coming home or visiting family or friends plus it’s at a neat location. Even though it was our first time visiting, we were welcomed so warmly. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely place. Brian and Josephine were so friendly and helpful. They were the perfect host and hostess.
We stayed in Room 8 on the third floor. We loved the comfortable beds, the mini-​fridge, the TV with cable, and the cute décor. Brian was kind to help my mom with her bags.
They even made some popcorn and had it waiting for us when we checked in.
The breakfast was incredibly wonderful and delicious. They have the most amazing spread, and the one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. They had everything from make-​your-​own waffle station where we had a choice of regular or chocolate waffles, on the griddle were sausages, just-​made delicious egg item (forgot what it was called, but it was really good) mixed with fresh veggies (spinach, tomatoes, etc) and mozzarella, fresh fruit, great pastries/​breakfast bread (my favorite was the chocolate banana bread that Josephine made and my son loved the chocolate chip bread), and a variety of cereal. To drink were the choices of coffee, tea, water, milk, apple juice, and orange juice
Some great things about Atlantic House Bed & Breakfast:

— Plenty of board games and books to read in the nook area

Also, a lot of places say that they support veterans, but Brian & Josephine actually show their support with their actions rather than just saying it.
We really appreciate all the little things that they did to make our stay more comfortable and fun.
It was such a pleasure to meet Brian & Josephine and to stay at their B&B. We are definitely looking forward to visiting them again in the future! You should check them out too, you’re sure to have a lovely time and a full and content tummy in the morning!
