History

Established in 1988.

The house which forms the core of the Inn at Occidental has the distinction of being the oldest surviving residential structure in Occidental, dating back to 1876. In 1988 the structure was purchased by Dr. Howard and Justina Selinger and completely retrofitted. It opened as The Hearts Desire with 8 rooms. In 2000, the courtyard building with 8 rooms was added. The adjacent 2-bedroom house was completed in 2000 and offers a spacious option for gatherings. Current owners, Jerry & Tina Wolsborn, purchased the Inn in 2003.
