I lived in the south for 6 years. This is terrible BBQ. Food is bad, service is bad. I won’t ever be back. I do not recommend this place.

You go into a chicken and ribs joint expecting to get chicken except you go three times in a row and there out of chicken. The philly is small literally on a hotdog bun. Click the not reccomended views this place speaks for itself I would rather take the drive to hot sauce williams

I will never order here again. I called in to place a order and was on hold. However I could hear the staff playing and cracking jokes. Even after my saying excuse me I’d like to place an order. The young man still continued to play. So I hung up and tried to call back and they left me on hold and never came back to the phone!

STAYAWAY!!! Its tough to find good bbq in Cleveland. Gave this place a try, I work nearby. I had a pulled pork sandwich here and the sandwich actually smelled like human feces… could not even look at it. Threw it away never went back!

We were pleasantly surprised, went in with neutral expectations, and we loved this place! Great bbq, sides were tasty, and what a value. We ordered more to take home for tomorrow. We’ll be back!

I really really wanted to be positive about B&M. They are a local chain, and I love BBQ,(enough that I make it at home more often than I go out for it). But honestly, this was a tragic disappointment. Pulled pork sandwich managed to be less than tender, greasy, and under-flavored. Sauce was rather weak, topped with generic slaw. Baked beans side tasted like it was fresh from a can. Sad example of BBQ.

wow this place is pretty bad, when you walk in there is a bullet proof glass at the registrar? in oakwood, come on really, the food is not that good been there twice and never going back, the portions are small and the lady behind the register took my order and made my food with out wearing gloves or washing her hands,

Taking over the abandoned Taco Bell that has been boarded up for years is now a B&M BBQ. Once announced, I was excited that a new lunch option would be coming to town since I work nearby. They’ve been open for a week now and after yesterday, it’ll be a while until I return. First off, I realize most newly opened businesses should be cut some slack until they work out the kinks. But B&M is a local chain. They’ve been doing this a while now. And the food is prepared ahead of time. Smoked pork butt and ribs aren’t made to order. They are smoked in the early hours or overnight and sit in a warming tray until someone orders for lunch or dinner. It is then reheated, re-sauced and served to the customer. It’s not difficult cuisine. You’d think they would have this down by now, but they apparently don’t. Yesterday, I arrived at noon for lunch. I have only a half hour, maybe an hour to spare. An hour and a half later I finally ate and snuck back into work late with suspiciously saucy fingers and lips. Yes, there were a few people ahead of me when I arrived at lunch, but there was no excuse for how long it took. The method to B&M is to order at the counter and pay. Options are plenty. Everything from chicken, ribs, pork shoulder, polish boys, corned beef and an abundance of sides. Once ordered, you are given a receipt with a number. When your food is ready, they call your number. Over an hour later, our number was called. An hour for some meat to be plopped on a slice of bread! Under no circumstance should an already prepared pulled pork take over an hour to slap between two slices of white bread. The help there clearly doesn’t have proper training, experience or any noticeable desire in moving faster either. It was absolutely maddening to watch. After about 30 minutes of our number not being called, I went up to the counter to check on things. Behind the counter was a guy who was clearly in over his head. He spent more time fumbling with hanging tickets than just concentrating on filling orders. I wanted to jump the counter and shake him. And then I noticed something revealing. Everyone behind the counter was moving slow as molasses. There simply was no urgency to fulfill orders or move at any sort of pace past their comfort level. None. If this type of service continues, I’m not sure how this place stays alive. People have jobs and can’t wait around for an hour for a sammich to be assembled. The food? Yeah, it was good, but nothing special. I ordered the pulled pork which had a mild sauce slathered on it with a dollop of slaw, sandwiched between two slices of wonder bread. My combo meal came with a small pinch of fries and a can of coke. Note to self. The $ 2+ upcharge for fries aren’t worth it. Note number two: Ask for a fork with your sandwich. The wonder bread isn’t nearly the adequate shovel piece required for this sloppy sandwich. I learned the hard way. If you have to go back up and ask for a fork which are behind the counter, you’ll wait another 10 minutes or so before you’re helped. I’m dead serious. Note number three: when the person taking your order picks up the phone to fulfill orders over the real live person right in front of you, that is just plain rude and probably one of the first unwritten rules in the food industry business. Under no circumstance should the person on the phone take precedence over the person right in front of you. And it’s not like there wasn’t enough help. There were plenty of people working. Enough to take care of the business they had. Both owners were even there, walking around, smiling, asking people how they were. It seems as if no one has any sense of urgency whatsoever. So completely frustrating. They have a good product. They really do. But the lack of a capable staff and service will ultimately ruin this place. PS. The bulletproof glass at the order counter is kind of intimidating to people in the suburbs. Oakwood Village isn’t exactly the ghetto. A fringe city between Twinsburg and Bedford, yes. But bulletproof glass? Really?
