I came here for a group meditation on Tuesday evening, and it was quite an interesting experience. It was a little more focused on «The Lord» and praying than I’m accustomed to, but everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. Smiles were all around the room. And no one seemed to judge anyone else. It was just people getting together to pray in a more alternative form. The married couple leading the meditation were wonderful. The guy was very profound in what he said regarding the idea of material separation, and the woman exuded peace (and she sang beautifully).
There was a drum circle, singing, and meditating during the session. I’m not one to sing church-​type songs or sing with people I’ve just met in general, but I did enjoy the 30 minutes of meditation with ocean sounds playing in the background. I felt more relaxed when I left, so it achieved that goal! Though I could have done without the singing. The drum circle was really cool though.
I enjoyed this meditation, but it’s really just for people with an accepting, open mind.
And an unrelated thing I learned there: apparently there’s a 24-​hour hotline you can call to pray with someone over the phone.

A truly open, warm and welcoming community that provides a wealth of opportunities for education and growth. A true spiritual home.
