Stepping Out was originally founded by Shari P. Wooldridge in April 2004 in Old Oakland, CA. In August 2008, we moved to our current location at 385 17^th Street, Oakland, Ca and is now part of the South of Broadway Retail Shopping Area.

Shari has developed her love and knowledge of shoes through a long career in retailing. Her extensive travels to Europe, China, New York allowed her to visit trends and fashion first hand. One trip to China. Spain and Italy was to visit shoe factories. She has taken that knowledge blended with her passion for shoes, to bring you great shoes, handbags and accessories.
