Sound Source is the only place I will take my rides, period! I called them up and spoke to Allen, he then made availibilty for me the next day. He installed my Pioneer AVH4100NEX along with sirius xm, steering wheel controls, chimes, microphone, and sub. Their price, customer service, and professionalism by far surpasses any other car audio shop I have ever dealt with in past years. Allen even took the time the next day to follow through with me about all the details involving the new head unit. He even soldered my wires instead of pig tailing like most. Two thumbs up, and now Im bringing you my 56 Cadillac.

Great business! I wanted to install a deck in my car and decided to go here. The owner, Allen, was incredibly friendly and polite. He also gave the impression that he was an honest dude. He stuck to the original quote even though the labor ended up more than he expected. I am pleased that my car now has the option to listen from my phone, woohoo! Great work done by awesome folks. I highly recommend this place.

Alan is amazing! My car stereo stopped working; he fixed it in 5 minutes and didn’t want to charge me — fat chance, I gave him a large tip and told him I was paying for his knowledge and experience, not his time. Alan is both a great guy and a true professional.

Great, friendly, fast service. I called to get a new stereo head installed in my car, and they said «come on down!». Hour and a half later, I was rolling out with my new awesome stereo. Fast and painless! Highly recommended. The dude there clearly explained the costs, and what I’d need, and then showed me how the new stereo worked.

Allen was the best! He was very helpful and quick! I got my BMW 328i window’s tinted here. They look beautiful! He also took the time to wash my car down. I would recommend him to anyone!

Can I give them 20 stars??? They are wonderful! I looked at different companies before taking my car to Sound Source. I needed a hands free phone system installed. I was treated so well I felt like I was dealing with a high end luxury car dealer. I kept thinking «are these guys for real?» Yep, they are. I would definitely go back to them as well as recommend them to all my friends. Amazing!

Great prices, Allen is very knowledgeable and friendly. He seemed to really care that I was satisfied with his work. I definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to upgrade the security in their car.

Allen the owner quoted me $ 400 for all the windows tint. I got 5% Limo tint in the rear and 70% the lightest ones in the front.
The rear ones have lifetime warranty, the front ones do not since technically it’s illegal. Took about 4 hours or so to get everything tinted but I tell you hwat it was worth it. Key thing you can NOT roll down the windows for 72 hours due to curing .
I noticed a small bubble that went away by itself and also a small fracture line which was glue residue that Allen cleaned a week later free of charge .
He is so nice that he dropped me off at the nearest bart station so i could go back home.
So far I can’t complain he’s a perfectionist like me .

I had a great experience. The owner, Allen, was personable and attentive. Before installing the system he carefully explained exactly what the would do and various price options. The end result was a personalized sound system that exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend him.

I got a remote starter with automatic rear defrost, rear windows tinted, and a new iPhone plug for my stereo all at the same time. Allen was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable while helping me figure out what I could get that fit my stated budget. I truly appreciated that he didn’t try to oversell or push anything I didn’t need.
I was extremely pleased with the installation of the various components and Allen was super patient with me when I needed a bit of technical support in the week afterwards. He did what he said he was going to do and well within the quoted time frame. It’s going on 4 months now and everything works like a dream. The tint is beautiful and holding up perfectly. not a single bubble or ripple of any kind. It’s also so wonderful to be able to bring the baby out to a pre-​warmed car.

Allen is the best guy around. He fixed my 65 mustang and ford bronco stereo that was worked on by some other shop. I will never go to anyone else to work on my cars and thank you so much for your honestly. Best place in east bay.

Needed a replacement stereo for my spouse’ Ford Freestyle. Talked with Allen about various options. He was knowledgable and considerate, and quoted a better than expected price. Because of the great price I decided to inquire about other options and upgrades including a subwoofer, amp, and new speakers. He took the time to explain the options to me. He took time to come out to the car and listen to the existing deck. After hearing what we had in the car, he recommended replacing just the deck and considering other upgrades at another time, once we heard the system with the new stereo. I really appreciated the advice and patience to develop our family as customers rather than looking for the quick sell of more if a system than we may have needed. I will defininately return for new speakers for my own Ford Fiesta, and for any other upgrades or stereo or alarm needs. Great customer service and value. Plus the taco sineloa food truck is across the street! This was perfect because they replaced my stereo on the spot, in about an hour and a half. Are lunch and left with a great stereo installed!

The task of finding a competent and skillful automobile electronics installer has finally come to end. Through trial and error the long, expensive and painful process of having my electronics connected to my car will now only be conducted by Sound Source USA. The shop will not only meet your high standards, but their workmanship will last the test of time. I’ve been a client on and off for the past ten years. The owner is beyond helpful and friendly. I’ve asked every stupid question possible (see list of question below) and to my amazement he is always respectful and actually provides positive feedback. Sound Source USA has tinted my windows, created custom boxes, installed stereos, kill switches, speakers and entertain my audiophile fantasy.
The shop is a little pricier than other local shops, BUT trust me you will save money and time in the long run by having them do the job. You won’t have to trouble shoot another shop’s work, question their workmanship or quality of products. Sound Source USA carries top shelf products that again are little more expensive, but a lot more durable.
Questions awesomely entertained by Sound Source USA:
1. Will you install an equalizer on the interior roof of my car?
2. Will a cop stop me for tinting my front windows?
3. Will you build me a custom box that is small, loud and awesome?
4. Does this shirt make me look sexy?
5. Can you install a gun rack? How about a turret in my sun roof?
The answers to all the questions are a solid «Yes!»… But only question 4 really matters. HOT!

Brought my car to them to get my windows tinted per my autobody shop’s recommendation. Their shop is in a bit of a bad neighborhood, but they do great work and don’t sell you anything that you don’t need.
The tinted windows came out great, no streaks or bubbles after a couple of days of drying!
I’ll be bringing my car back to get my stock speakers replaced at some point in the future.

Not that I had any doubt, but I got the work done on my car yesterday (subwoofer box installed plus amp, capacitor, remote EQ, and all wiring). Allen took the time to look over my car carefully with me to determine the best mounting location for the amp/​cap and remote EQ. And despite me thinking I might actually want to upgrade the equipment beyond what I’d originally planned to have him install (meaning he would have made more money from me), Allen said that I should strongly consider sticking with the original plan because I would be happier with the results. I decided to trust him and I’m glad I did. The system sounds absolutely fantastic. He even installed some Dynamat under my license plate for free to keep it from rattling.
One of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I will be recommending Sound Source USA to anyone who needs audio work done on their car!

Another 5 stars for Sound Source, this place is so great! Sound Source custom fabricated a clip to hold my GPS in the perfect position on my dashboard with all the wiring hidden. It’s awesome to have something like this nearby where you can tell they pay attention to detail and do the job right. I was so pleased with the results and the customer service, I’d reccomend this place to anyone!

I first came here in February after getting fed up with some D-​bag rifling through my car every few months in search of loot. I don’t keep valuables in my car, and my windows/​doors have never been broken, but nonetheless it’s frustrating as hell to see someone’s invaded your space (leaving graham cracker crumbs in my passenger seat too while ransacking the glove compartment). I finally decided I wanted to install an alarm, so I looked on Unilocal and found Sound Source.
Allen was really nice over the phone, asking me what I was looking for and explaining different alarm options and price levels. When I told him I just wanted a simple deterrent, he didn’t try to up-​sell me. I was able to get an appointment that very weekend and picked up my car a few hours later. He showed me how the system work and had me test it out, teaching me about the different functions.
Fast-​forward a few months: I had work done on my car and didn’t know how to re-​activate my alarm, plus something happened to the blinking LED alarm light in the car. Even though he was really busy when I called, upon hearing that I’d be out of town for the next week and my car would be unattended, Allen made time to get my system re-​activated and the alarm light working. It’s that kind of service that will keep me coming back, even if the neighborhood is (more than) a little sketch.
