Sharon L Albright, DDS

I have been a patient of Dr. Albright’s for quite some time. I can’t say enough about her and her staff. Everyone in the office is friendly and professional. I appreciate the fact that the practice is well organizes and efficient; they do not waste your time. The front office staff is knowledgeable about insurance matters and helpful in making sure I take advantage of available insurance benefits. Boba is my hygienist, and she is amazing. I’m over 60 years old and Dr. Albright has given me advice and service over the years that I’m sure has helped me avoid losing any teeth.

Dr. Albright and her staff are true professionals and pay attention to every detail to make a trip to the dentist as enjoyable as possible. I chose them because of the wonderful reviews on Unilocal and I was not disappointed. From x-​rays, to teeth cleaning, to a filling — every person took great care of me and Dr. Albright was there to make sure it all went smoothly. The best part was me with sunglasses and headphones on — relaxed and listening to 90’s pop music (my choice) while getting a filling. I think I have had manicures that hurt more. I would highly recommend this office to anyone — it is worth it even if your insurance has a higher copay with them.

1^st experience here and I was impressed. The staff are awesome and Dr. Albright is really kind, skilled, and thorough. I was a little put off by the overkill paperwork, intense friendliness, and the fact that they measure the whiteness of your teeth on a scale (is that necessary? Maybe I’m just sore that mine are so far from white!) They did a fantastic job of cleaning, exam & even xrays for a decent price. This is where I’ll go from now on.

This is a very important update. I had an emergency situation under my denture and a tooth we are trying to save. Dr. Albright has a chairside manner like Big Momma… soft, loving and caring. She was not available, so I agreed to see someone else. So it was not what I was used to. I sat in the car and cried. Got home and called the office and left a message for Dr. Albright. She called me back and I cried to her about the situation. «I am so sorry, your file clearly indicates that I am the only person to see you! Just Boba (my hygienst) and myself!» I felt so cared about. She rearranged her schedule to see me. I returned to the office and was cared for gingerly like somebody who cared form. No questions like I was not a family member… soft caring and present. I feel so loved and appreciated. The gift of great service is a blessing. Thanks Dr. Albright… you are an amazing dentist too! I brought her some red velvet cupcakes with marshmallow cream cheese whip!

This is the best dental office I’ve ever visited in my life. Ever. Everyone was so positive, focused on the entire patient experience. They were understanding regarding insurance issues, changes, limitations, etc. There was a concerted effort in comfort and care. I’ve found my dentist!

I haven’t had the best experiences with dentist in the past, so I am extremely happy that I finally found a dental office that I can give five stars to! This North Oakland office has a lot to offer its patients. Really friendly staff, excellent care! Gentle and thorough treatments and they give you headphones to listen to music while you are in the chair. The equipment they uses is high tech and makes the procedures more comfortable. Dr. Chen is great at explaining everything and answering any questions that might come up before, during or after your appointment. The women at the front desk are the most welcoming dental receptionists I’ve met– they take the time to ask you about your day and remember you on your next visit. I found this office on Unilocal and I will be back for all my future dental needs! Thanks!

I had Dr. Choi for my first appointment, and she was very nice and explained everything thoroughly. Had Dr. Chan for some fillings. She is nice too! And Dr. Albright did my crown, she is very experienced and knowledgeable… Perfect experience!

Dr. Albright and her team hold themselves to a very high standard. The office is clean, modern and high-​tech. You are treated with kindness and a personal touch by each member of the staff. Dr. Albright herself is a great listener and cares about how you’re feeling and what they can do to make the experience as easy as possible for you.
I had three fillings done in one visit and a couple days later am feeling great and am so happy to bid rid of a terrible food trap that was created by a poorly done filling done by a previous dentist which Dr. Albright fixed right up.
Added bonus are the noise canceling headphones and your choice of Pandora station :)

Dr. Chen — She’s freaking awesome and nice! I currently have braces and needed to get 1 of my cute tiny teeth bonded temporarily for my braces. Dr. Chen made me feel like a million bucks! She made my teeth look so natural and new! I’ll post up a picture but Dr. Chen really deserves more than 5 stars! I’ll be getting veneers from her after I finish my braces!
Overall everyone in this office is so kind and very caring! Really recommend this place :]

Best dentist ever! I am a little skeptical when it comes to dentists but I can attest that any skeptism I had has been erased and replaced with a new found confidence in Dr. Albright and her awesome, amazing and wonderful team.
You enter the office to be greeted by Aracelli and Julie, who are pleasant, personable and knowledgeable. Dr. Albright makes sure to introduce herself to you and discuss treatment plans in your best interest. I was taken back to have xrays by Melissa. She was fantastic in her technique and concerned about you being comfortable. I have a fabulous hygenist Boba who explains everything thoroughly and provides constructive feedback in maintaining and improving your oral health.
Could not dream of a better team, thank you Dr. Albright and Staff!

Dr. Albright was great. Very personable, gentle, and caring. I’ve never had a problem with dentists before, but I’ve never been super excited about it, either. I could see the extra mile this office goes to make patients feel welcome, and I truly appreciated it. The ladies at the front desk were also very friendly and helpful.

Dr. Albright and her staff are the very best dentistry practice that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I’ve been her patient for over a year and have had several excellent experiences. While none of us like going to the dentist, Dr. Albright is skilled and attentive, and makes the experience as good as it could possibly be. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Albright is amazing. You are not going to find another dentist that truly cares about her patients as much as she does. I myself am very busy and often use that as an excuse as to why I don’t return a phone call or for running behind. Not Dr. Albright though, she will put you and your concerns first and explain to you precisely why she is doing what is doing and how it is going to benefit you. She even called me personally while out of town and truly wanted to check on me… cause she cares.
The staff is wonderful to work with as well… you can not go wrong by coming here.

I had the same dentist my entire life. For 40 plus years, I never understood why people hated going to the dentist. I loved my dentist!
Then one fateful day my beloved dentist retired. As I searched for a new dentist, my anxiety grew. Despite great recommendations by friends, I just couldn’t bring myself to schedule an appointment. Time marched on and the situation became grim. Missed cleanings piled up. Anxiety deepened. And then I found Dr. Albright’s office.
I was a little embarrassed when I first called to make my appointment and confessed my fears (and the fact that it had been sooooo long since I had seen a dentist) but Araceli, the Office Manager, was super reassuring and I decided to take the plunge.
I had my first appointment today and it was great. Everyone was friendly and gentle with me. I received a tour of the office and met most of the staff. Boba did my cleaning and despite my fear-​based neglect which necessitated a longer cleaning than usual, it was easy. All gain, no pain.
Dr. Albright, assisted by Melissa, did a thorough exam to get to know me, my general health, and my mouth. Personable, professional, delightful, and reassuring, both Dr. Albright and Melissa made me feel totally comfortable.
I am so relieved to have a great new dentist. I can’t wait to see everyone again at my next cleaning. Seriously. For real. I’m looking forward to my next cleaning. That’s how good they are.

I basically went exclusively to Dr Albright for 3+ years. She changed all the amalgam filings in my mouth to fancy white stuff with the argument that they were too old to hold. I recently switched doctors after their office folks became too annoying. Now my new dentist just finds out that one of the refillings done by Dr Albright is actually leaking and it now needs a core rebuild and crown to hold together. Total cost $ 1300+ dollars. It was a tooth that I had no issues with to begin with. So my advice is not to trust them.

I just got back from seeing Dr. Albright a few short hours ago. She offered to come in on a SUNDAY to make sure my crown wasn’t going to come off. Her dedication is amazing !
Her entire staff has been attentive and caring through the whole process of getting fillings, crown, and veneers.
When I wanted to get veneers done, I had to make sure I was in the very best hands. I saw all the reviews here, and decided I would try Dr. Albright. I’m really glad I did. Dr. Albright listened to me every step of the way and made sure to get my teeth exactly how I wanted.
I couldn’t be happier, my teeth are healthier, and I’m not embarrassed to smile anymore.

If you are looking for a dentist in Oakland, look no further. I have never been to a more thorough dentist than Sharon Albright. Your first appointment is booked for 2+ hours, and this time is well utilized with a full set of xrays, a deep cleaning, photos of your teeth, and a lengthy consultation on how to maximize the health of your teeth and gums.
I had to book a follow-​up appointment to fix/​fill in some cavities (don’t judge me), and Dr. Albright did a fantastic job. She doesn’t use silver fillings, which is much appreciated. She also threw in fixing one of my old fillings for free!
You will definitely be doing your teeth and gums a favor if you choose Dr. Albright as your dentist. I only wish I had gone earlier!
