Paws ‘n Hand

Have posted here before, but sometimes a business goes downhill after you have used it numerous times, but, we are here to inform you that if you are wanting the very very best pet sitting service possible Paws ‘n Hand is just as UNSURPASSED in EXCELLENCE as the very first time we used Leah’s service several years ago.
We just got back from one week away and — happily — our two cats were so happy and contented one would think we had never gone away. We can not recommend Paws ‘n Hand more highly. Seriously. — if you are looking for the very very best pet sitter (in our case, two cats) Leah of Paws ‘n Hand is the one you pets will be lucky to have her providing their care in your absence.

Leah is as good as it gets. We have two elderly cats, one of which has been fighting some sudden health issues. Leah has helped us out last minute with vet trips and daily visits as needed. Up until now, I had relied on friends to watch our cats but decided it was time to get a reliable, professional person who could take on the responsibility of caring for high-​maintenance cats who require meds (and now injections) on top of love and pets. I didn’t know her before using her services, rather I found her right here on Unilocal.She’s been the right fit for our furry family members and has given me no reason to try anyone else.

First, so no one reading this review will think that I am writing this for a friend or writing a fake review, let me say, that though we would be honored to have the friendship to Paws ‘n Hand owners Lean and David Duckworth, we in fact are not friends… but instead. they are people we hire to take care of the most beloved entities in our lifeL our two cats, Anna Mae and Matilda. Sometimes after one uses a service, it then goes downhill. and because extraordinarily high quality pet care is so hard to find, and so needed, I want to write this so anyone reading this will know they have come upon the perfect person (s) to care for their cats while they, the owners, are gone.
This past week Leah, and David, again cared for our cats and I am so very happy to report that the care they delivered was p-​e-​r-​f-​e-​c-​t. Over the times Leah has cared for our cats the service delivered has remained at the highest level possible at all times.
The one cat, that NEVER comes out, did not come out this time, but when we got home he was content and calm. a very good sign that his basic needs were well tended to. Our other little rug-​hugger was clearly loved on while we were gone and in a in a joyous mood… clearly ready to continue with the feathering and brushing Leah and David gave her during our absence.
We recommend Paws n’Hand very highly, at the highest level possible and without any reservation whatsoever. I — my husband and I – have nothing to gain by this review, except the good feeling that maybe someone like me/​us — when I/​we were desperate to find a reliable excellent cat care giver — will come upon my Unilocal review of Paws ‘n Hand and feel thankful to have found Leah to care for his/​her cats while the person is gone. I do not think the service she delivers can be improved upon.

Leah is so great. She saved us from having a real tough time leaving town for a family trip right when our cat was diagnosed with some issues that required weeks of antibiotics twice a day and our friend-​sitter just could not pull that off. She was able to make time for us despite my last minute call and her full schedule. On top of accommodating us, she did a fantastic job. The cats were really well cared for and very happy on our return home. Not to mention, they were brushed and our apartment was immaculate. She will undoubtedly get our business again in the future and I highly recommend her service.

Leah watched my cat Edie while I was in Germany for two weeks in August 2012. I knew before I left town that Edie was going to be in very loving hands! While I was gone I received several email updates on Edie.
I was so happy with Leah’s pet care service that I’m scheduling her services again next week! I’m sure that Edie will be happy to see her!

Having moved to Oakland recently, I was on a hunt for a new local pet sitter and boy am I happy I met Leah! Her love for animals is immediately apparent, and even my shy kitty came out to say hello during our meet and greet.

Leah has been great taking care of my cat, Mr. Teeg, for some time. I can depend on her to take loving care of him, water plants, take in mail etc… She follows up on all our appointments and always checks in to make sure I arrived to find everything in order. I have had many animal caretakers over the years, and she is one of the best!!!

Leah is great! She really seems to care about the welfare of my cat and even waters my plants :) I highly recommend her, plus she has very reasonable prices.

Leah has been walking our dog Bubba for about a year now and I could not recommend her enough. She really does treat him like her own dog and it feels like she is a member of our family. She leaves lovely long notes about her visit. My husband and I work full time and it gives us great peace of mind knowing that our dog is in good hands.
