Despite the old photo showing a Valero Branding, this is indeed now a Shell Station. Son has been doing my repairs for years is straight shooter. If you treat him with respect he’ll do the same for you. I’m glad to recommend him and to have him in our neighborhood.

That’s baaaad place to think to fix your car here, and they don’t respect there costumer, I really regret to come to this place to fix my tire’s car !!! They need to learn how to respect people in here, he wants to charge me 100 $ forR14 tire, that’s so crazyyy and then when I said no he just throw the tire in the floor :) that’s awesome job and altitude to use at this job :) thank Chinese people for this service

I took my car in because it had a questionable future. I thought I’d blown the engine just the day before. They looked at my car right away, and mentioned a new engine, but also gave me some other options that would possibly keep the car running for as long as it would run. I appreciated this as my car is old and I don’t really want to replace the engine, but I do need it to run at least for another few months.
They explained how these options would prolong the life of my vehicle and although there were a lot of cars waiting to be serviced, the mechanic was patient with my questions and concerns.
I agreed to one of the options and left my car. When I went back at the end of the day, it was ready and started right up. It was a reasonable charge and the car is running well. I would definitely go back to this station. I felt like I was given choices, rather than a hard sell for the most expensive option. They were honest and reasonably priced and quick too.

I’ve had my 05 Mits Eclipse worked on a few times here… new brakes, sensor replacement, and full 60k mile tune-​up. Son runs a tight ship along with good service, future recommendations of services needed in the near future, friendly, reasonable prices and timely work. I have not been disappointed and will be using his services again soon. I feel like I’m in good hands here. Keep up the good work Son and team.

Been going to Son for 8+ yrs. He is a good mechanic and an honest man, not a common combination with autoshop practices. He is more than capable of tacking different makes and models, we have german and japanese autos of various vintages and he is able to service them all. He has recommended other services (body shop and wheel/​tires) if it is outside he expertise. We moved out of the immediate area and still bring the cars back for service.

Son is a neighborhood treasure reflected in the amount of business he does. Plugged a flat tire for $ 10 (2x). Does the least expensive smog in the area. Replaced a motor mount on an ’04 PT Cruiser for $ 330! Inexpensive, honest, efficient work and these guys are actually kind.

I assume you’ve got some cameras that record license plates and cars and whatnot, right?
Well when I call you to tell you, «I was mugged at gunpoint, and the 2 guys who did it attempted to use my card at your station at this specific time»… I would think you might be a little more helpful. maybe tell me what I’d need to do in order to get this footage.

AAA next door recommended that I go to Valero to get the car smogged to complete my registration. They took the car right away and I got a call an hour later that the smog had failed, I had a broken heat sensor. Crap. However the guy gave me two quotes for parts and labor and the following week I came back to get the repair done. A few hours later, I had my car, my smog and renewed my registration. Definitely recommend this place to the ladies, they won’t upsell you or try to rip you off– well at least I didn’t feel ripped off and they were professional and friendly.

Son is the best! I’ve been taking my car here (and getting gas) for about 6 years and feel so lucky to have found such a great place. Prices are very reasonable and Son is very honest with me and I have come to trust him which is so hard find when it comes to auto mechanics. Quick turn arounds even though they are always so busy (gee, wonder why!?) If you live in the area and need a good mechanic try Son. You won’t be disappointed.

I have always use «Son» to service my BMW’s and Mercedes for minor stuffs. He is honest and charges reasonably. Now that I have mostly newer cars, they go back to the dealerships for warranty and free maintenance. Once the warranty runs out, they will come here for sure. Make an appointment first for he is always busy.

Son is great! I have had him do big jobs and small jobs. All are done at a reasonable price and if you are into the mechanics of your car but don’t have the time to do the work yourself Son and his crew are great. He will talk to you let you look at the progress and work with you on special parts and techniques. I can’t say enough good things about this shop.

So I came here for an oil change.
«Come back in one hour.»
I came back.
«Can you come back in one hour?»
Me: «i just did.»
«Do you want to drop the car off?»
Me: «You have my car, where am I supposed to go?»
I get the car back and there is a shit load of oil stains on my driver’s seat upholstery. I tell them about it and he gets an oil filled rag to wipe it down and I tell him that I’ll get it cleaned myself and leave before something else bad happens.
Lastly, I drive the car home and it’s smoking like crazy because they spilled oil all over the engine and the oil is burning off.
Don’t go here for anything. If you mess up an oil change I’m sure you’re going to be messing up any other kind of repair/​maintenance.

At first I was really really sad that my beloved Chevron had to switch to Valero but the service really hasn’t changed. Its still really nice to stop by here.
Still my go to place for gas

I recently took my car to this location for a smog check. They are very efficient. I was really impressed with how accommodating they were in getting my check done so quickly. All of the employees I dealt with were very courteous and responsive.

Son has been taking amazing care of my cars (a Toyota and a Saturn) for about 7 years now. He is respectful and never talks down to me the way many mechanics talk down to women. His prices are fair and he is also honest — if he thinks I can get a better price on something somewhere else (tires, etc.), he’ll tell me. He is also a genuinely nice person, which helps a great deal. It doesn’t hurt that he looks just like my high school sweetheart either! You will never be sorry if you take your car to him!

The service here is awesome, Son rocks.
Reasonable, reliable, and fast.
Same day brake job taken care of quickly.
Same day tune up/​smog check/​timing belt/​water pump replacement done and done well. This is my go to repair/​maintenance spot. And you can stroll down the boulevard if you want to grab some food or a read!

Son is THE best mechanic i’ve ever come across! I had to bring my 1990 Toyota Camry in for a quote after it’s clutch went out. Son quoted me something reasonable, and went the extra step to tell me what I’ll need in the near future. I couldn’t make the bill so I said I was selling the car to Pick N Pull. Son was calm and cool and tolerant as I had to keep my car parked on his street for 4 days. He gave me those days of «storage» for free! Normally, other mechanic’s would take this opportunity to say, «40 bucks a day to park it here, lady.»
Son is AWESOME! I will make it my priority to always come here for any and all mechanical services as soon as I get another car.

This is now a Valero, and the folks who run the place have done my smog repair and now my new brakes. They were friendly and fast (got my brakes done same day). I also love that they’re conveniently located – if I ever do need to leave my car there, taking the bus home or elsewhere is just an easy walk down the block.
