they damaged my original window molding, installed aftermarket molding instead and installed it very wavy and uneven, then tried to charge me $ 75 for new windshield molding — costs $ 25 online.

I had my Honda Civic Si windshield replace sometime this year. The windshield trim came loose and took the car to the shop to be repair. Although I didn’t keep my receipt, they fixed it and honored the warranty. I felt completely appreciated and happy to have been taking care of. Definitely, I recommend this business for stand for they customer service.

Last least half the price of other chip repair shops and a fraction of the price of a new windshield. They were too busy to get it done on Saturday so I came the next Monday and was «in and out» within an hour.

One of the downsides of working in Oakland is that on occasion you will get your car broken into. As a result, there are lots of glass repair places in the area (must be a very lucrative industry here) and this one is a great choice among them.
Cost started off at $ 160 but they take insurance so I only had to pay my deductible. The staff is really easy to work with too. I’m surprised some of their guys don’t wear more protective wear though, considering they work with a lot of broken glass.
They do same day service and you’ll get your car back quickly. They told me it would be about an hour for the glass replacement, and it ended up being closer to 40 minutes. You can just chill in their waiting room, or you can wander around the neighborhood here and get something to eat at one of the Vietnamese restaurants nearby.

I had been driving around for a couple of weeks with a shattered rear passenger window — procrastinating getting it fixed until the window began actually falling apart yesterday. I called Safelite first — as I had gone to them a couple of years ago when my car was broken into. Safelite wanted to charge me $ 319! H to the N!
We then found In & Out. Not only did they save us $ 200 (!!!), it was late Saturday afternoon and they squeezed us in at the last minute! What a find! Professional, quick — done. I really hope folks will stop jacking with my old car so that I don’t need In & Out Glass again — but if it happens again, I know where to go.
On a side note, I would suggest that their workers wear protective goggles and knee pads as protective equipment. It would be all to easy for a glass shard to pop up into a worker’s eye. And with all the kneeling down they do on hard concrete, I feel for their knees.

Excellent service, FAST! I Had my front passenger side window busted out Friday night. Went in to IN and Out on Saturday at 4pm and they happily took me in.
Office manager Jessica was beyond personable, friendly and just plain Rocked!

Aces! I went in there on a busy day, and they still got it down sooner than expected. Plus, a closely comparable price to my usual «cheapest in town» guy … I hope my car never gets broken-​in again, but for whatever reason, if I need a new window on my car fast (as always is the case), I will likely be back. I showed up without an appointment and they fixed 2 windows in 90 minutes. Their prices are good too.

Brought my own part, so the labor quoted on the phone was what they followed through with charging. No complaints, as $ 75 was much cheaper than the $ 150 I was planning to pay elsewhere. We went on a Saturday morning, dropped off my car, and walked to a nearby restaurant for phở (there are a few options within walking distance). 2ish hours later, my window was replaced and ready to go!
There are some small scratches inside my car that I don’t remember being there before, but I can’t be too sure it’s from this replacement. So if you’re bringing in your pride and love, take a before photo just in case!

Amazing! The place was very quick and the job was clean, the staff were nice and professional, the best part is that they are cheap too! I will refer all my customers and family members here.

The crack finally made it’s way up the middle of my windshield and it had to be replaced. (Horrifying story behind the crack — a brick flew over –or thrown over– the center divide on I-​5N heading into LA. I was in the carpool lane @ 65MPH. Luckily, the windshield didn’t web, only a round crack appeared where the brick bounced off.)
I go to the Asian supermarket up the street so I pass by this place ALL the time. I remember seeing their «discount» sign out front so thought I’d give them a shot ( Unilocal reviews also made it a good choice).
I called to make sure they had my make/​model windshield in stock, got a quote (the price was right), and went in the next morning. The job was done in about an hour. I did my grocery shopping at the Asian market and came back in time to pick up the car in a short time.
Service was decent, no hassles.
Minus one star because the guys did not do a good clean up after replacing the windshield. The inside was dirtier than when I left it. Plus, they weren’t that courteous.
But overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

Great customer service. Comfortable chairs in waiting room. I had my windshield replaced. They did awesome job and had the lowest cost compared to other auto glass services in the area. Highly recommended.

It’s unfortunate that I have to report that I’ve had enough experience with car break ins to be be able to tell the difference between good service and not – but hey, that’s life!
First, Jessica is a friendly and efficient office assistant; she knows her stuff and she’s quick. That alone warrants a five-​star rating for me. She quickly browsed the company’s inventory list, gave me a price and time quote and answered any other questions I had in under ten minutes.
Second, the service is excellent. I don’t have a common car, so the fact that they had the glass in stock (or knew where to get it immediately) was impressive. They quoted me the same price as other repair shops, but the advantage of being able to drop my car off then and there swayed my decision. Additionally, she told me it would be 1.5−2 hours… it was done right on schedule.
I pray to God I don’t have to update my experience with In & Out, but If I do find myself on the wrong side of a spark plug I’ll definitely come back here.

On time with appointment. But very bad job in vacuum the broken glass. If you have them service, make sure you stay there and tell them to remove all broken glass.

My boyfriend’s driver’s side front window on his 2007 Rav 4 was broken last week (I guess it comes with the territory in the Bay…), so again we called every glass repair shop in Oakland, and again these guys were 20 bucks cheaper than all the rest ($ 170 including an extra $ 20 to have them come to us). They did a great job and vacuumed up all the glass perfectly.
Two things to note: 1) you have to pre-​pay if you use a credit card, so just be prepared, and 2) go to the website and get $ 20 off by getting an online quote! Obvi!

Obviously the place was helpful in a time of need. I called around 3:30 and after calling about 10 other places 1^st this was the only place that had the window I needed. Unfortunately it was a few minutes too late to bring the car in immidiatly. I was told I could bring it in 1^st thing in the morning, so I did.
9:30AM-Dropped the car off and headed on our merry way
11:00AM-Called to see if it was done and heard they JUST got started
1:30PM Finally picked up the car
Keep in mind the area outside seems to be a bit shady. Kind of a coincidence to leave your car with a broken window on the street in the area, or have it fixed and then parked outside there.

My driver’s side window got bashed and I called In & Out Auto Glass the next morning to get a quote — $ 160?! YUP, I’m there. They told me I could come on by, and an hour and a half later they were done… Literally, «In & Out.» I really do appreciate their speediness! Hope I never have to come here again, but if I do, I know I’ll have a great experience.

Wanna be Amazed? I need a windshield in one (1) hour. Its possible. Believe me it can be done. They did two of my rides already. But the down side is… They are a bit sloppy. But the price bring SMILES on my face.
Staff is friendly. Environment is ok. Plenty of restaurant near by. They lost one star because of the work not being 100% the way it was originally.

I never write reviews, but considering how helpful reading auto glass repair reviews was for me, I figured I should. My car got broken into in the middle of the day yesterday and they smashed my front passenger window. (hope you’re enjoying my worthless phone charger and tampons, tweakers.) I had multiple people recommend the sf bayview location of In & Out Glass, but since I had to work in Oakland, it was much easier for me to drop off my car at the Oakland location, go to work, and come back for it later.
First off, let me say, you have to get that $ 20 off for getting the quote online. Not only does that seem like a significant savings for me when I’m feeling pretty mad I have to deal with this at all, I found the feature itself really appealing. I couldn’t figure out the prices for most places, and calling a million places for phone estimates wasn’t something I was up for. Also the online quote for my 2003 toyota corolla window was cheaper than any others I had gotten ($ 119 with the discount). So I strolled in, showed them a screenshot of my estimate, dropped off the car and that was it. When I came by after work, my car was right in front waiting for me. I think this was about as cheap and easy as you can hope for under those circumstances. The oakland location lived up to the sf hype for me.

So I had a broken window replaced this morning. I had to wait a few hours to calm down before writing the review. Please note, I am reviewing my experience with this company. I don’t doubt that they usually provide great service. They could have still gotten 5 stars from me, which I was planning to rate initially, but they handled a pretty minor mess up REALLY poorly. I resent the additional time, stress, and money they have cost me.
— The service was prompt, and fairly cheap with the $ 20 discount I got online. Hence, the one star.
— They damaged the leather interior on my door and were HORRIBLE about it. No more stars for you!
I took pictures when my window was broken to post on Facebook. After I got home (Iive 10 minutes from In & Out) I wanted to take another picture to post a before and after for Unilocal.That is when I saw the damage. It looked like a prying tool had slipped and tore into the leather. I turned around to return to the location where the service tech immediately tried to claim that he didn’t do it and the damage was there before. I showed the pictures and they then tried to claim I must have caused the damage moving the broken glass.
For anyone who has had a broken window, you know the glass breaks in square pieces, not super sharp jagged shards. AND these weren’t light scrapes. The leather was punctured through, deeper than any piece of glass, and with more force than I could have transferred with a gloved hand without also breaking my skin.
THEN, someone, without asking or getting my permission, decided to hit the spot with some industrial blow dryer to melt it together, proceeding to simply melt the grain pattern from that area.
Elizabeth Riascos, from the front desk, was the poorest example of diplomatic customer service I have ever witnessed. She kept saying, Maybe it was or wasn’t already there, then claiming I was putting words in her mouth when I said they were trying to skirt liability. I swear they had Shaggy playing on loop up in there. «It wasn’t me!»
I pointed out that I had never signed any waiver releasing them from further damage, and they did not note ANY pre-​existing damage before beginning the window replacement, and would have to be liable. At the end of the day, I regret trying to save $ 20 because it’s going to cost a lot more to get the inside panel replaced. I should have gone to Auto Glass On The Move (
), just a couple blocks away. Paid $ 128.24 for the window. We’ll see about fixing the leather. Oh, I should mention Elizabeth offered «her guy» who does «this sort of thing» for «about $ 40.» I’ll pass…
If you do decide to go for the fast and cheap service, PLEASE take before pictures of your vehicle, inside and out.
