ImageTech is a supplier of ink, media, and service for the Fine Art, Photo and InkJet imaging business. We have been in business for over 20 years located in West Oakland with roots in service for the true silver halide photo industry. We are a wholesale and retail supplier to inkjet digital artist, photographers, architects, and sign and banner shops. We provide personal educated service to the individual small fine art studio user as well as large commercial support to the big wholesale online and national imaging accounts.

ImageTech is a authorized servicing dealer for Canon, Hahnemuhle, Kodak, Fuji, Canson, efi Rastek, Mitsubishi Imaging, Drytac, Mutoh, Kisun UV coaters, and Colex Fotoba Imaging.

History

Established in 1991.

After years as a QC and maintenance specialist at San Francisco photo labs, Mark Spandorf founded ImageTech, LLC in 1991.

ImageTech began its life as «Mark Spandorf Technical Service», providing service to Bay Area photo labs.

Starting in the late 90’s, ImageTech expanded to a larger location in Berkeley and began training technicians for the «digital age» with new skills to provide repair and technical services in large-​format inkjet and digital photo enlargers. The company quickly gained a national reputation as experts on Durst Lambda and other photo digital printers.

In 2000, ImageTech purchased its current business property on Union street in Oakland, California, added more staff, and expanded its business to accommodate growing media and equipment sales.

Business Owner

Mark is a graduate of R.I.T., having studied Processing and Finishing, Photo Science, Optics, and Business Management. Mr. Spandorf put his schooling to practical use in several major photo labs before opening ImageTech as a service organization. A changing industry created an opportunity to expand ImageTech to a national sales organization representing many major industry distributors.
