Founded in 1972, we are an award-​winning landscape firm with a strong reputation for high quality work. We work with the native habitat, using California native plants in the garden. We take pride in our role as leaders in sustainable landscaping, habitat restoration, and native plant horticulture. Our primary focus and passion is devoted to the private garden and we also maintain working relationships with local public agencies.

Four Dimensions Landscape Co. was a wonderful landscaping to work with. Their co-​owner, Michael Thilgen, initially met with us to discuss our ideas for landscaping our backyard, and then Kirsten, one their landscape architects, spent several hours with us listening to our ideas and giving us helpful tips about designing the patio, water feature, and hillside landscaping we desired. Kirsten took our ideas and turned them into a beautiful design. What we really liked about Four Dimensions is their experience and passion for creating landscapes featuring California native plants in natural-​looking settings.
Their landscaping crew worked quickly and efficiently to turn Kirsten’s design into a reality. Mike, the foreman of the crew, was on site throughout the project and it was nice to have him present if we had questions. When we made a few changes to the design, Mike patiently listened to our ideas and implemented the changes. Mike also was a stickler to details and he made sure that every aspect of the project was professionally done. During the construction of our project, Mike Thilgen stopped by several times to see how the project was proceeding and to make sure that we were satisfied with the project. Kirsten, the landscape architect, also stopped by several times to help with the placements of the plants and to help make some of the changes we requested.
We give Four Dimensions our highest recommendations! We liked them so much that we had Kirsten redesign our front yard, which was badly in need of help.

Four Dimensions is a wonderful landscape business. They have a lovely sense of design, and an ecological and environmental perspective that they bring to what they do. We worked with them to put in a drought tolerant garden and the selection of plants and landscaping was outstanding. They also did stone work, and laid a stone patio, and the quality of their crew and work was excellent. We highly recommend them.
