Hotel Oakland. A half misleading name. It was a hotel in the past. Well inside it is very nice. The ceiling is very high. Sometimes it is treated like a mutipurpose room. The carpet is dirty. Also there are two elevators. Here are some recomondtions on Hotel Oakland.

I always walk past this place and I finally decided to stop by. I was so shocked by the the way they treated my friend and I when I approached them they wouldn’t even open the door and told us to go away. I’m assuming it was because neither of us are Chinese and looked different than them. This surely isn’t a way to conduct a business, organization or whatever this place is.

A great hotel with added security. They have weekly great program and lots of acitivities in the lobby for the elders to do. I find it hard to stay bored here. In fact, I would sum this place to be a dormitory like housing for mature adults! The staff are friendly and ofcourse this building is historically beautiful.

Oakland, CA
If my income is low when I grow old and grey, I will retire to the historical and swanky Hotel Oakland. Right now, there’s an income cap, but this is a spectacular place to live whilst old or otherwise — close to the library, Lake Merritt, all sorts of restaurants and public transit. Just go in and check out the lobby. It’s breathtaking– the whole building is on the historic register. I wish I could move in now.
There are many social programs run out of this building, and the Hong Fook Adult Daycare is in the back.
