Ya mon da jerk chicken is a blast mon. Da shrimp taste like right off da ninja boat mon. Ya can even get yo hair braided mon. I found the jet ski rentals to be very reasonable.

wow. a dive roadhouse bar in the middle of Oakland, right in the middle of suburbia. with a pool table cheap motel to boot. bar bands, and pitchers. seriously, you would not expect to find it here. if you want a break from pretentious, «upscale» places, damn! this is it!

A dark spot with amazing Jamaican food. Stephen, the owner and sometimes chef makes everything fresh to order. Be prepared to wait a bit for your food, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Best beef pies I ever had. the meat was moist and the pastry crispy and delicious. We ordered Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Jerk shrimp, and jerk ribs. all have a kick, but all are cooked perfectly. the chicken was delicious and not dried out, the shrimp crunchy, spicy and cooked to perfection, and the ribs were also delicious. The ginger dressing for the salad should be bottled… it’s that good. We will be back soon !!!

A dive bar/roadhouse kind of place that is dark, dank, and murky… the beer selection is nothing to write home about.($ 2.50 Labatt Blue’s are your best bet.) The operating hours are fuzzy. Sunday afternoon is a maybe, but Thursday night is a definite, etc. Pool table. Karaōke on Thursday nights, starts late. Open mic on Wednesdays. Service is on ‘island time’ meaning you best not be in any sort of rush. However, everything on the menu is simply amazing! Yes, I said amazing.

Fantastic jerk chicken dinner. Best I’ve ever had! Sit at the bar. Wine selection is non-existent. Expensive mixed drinks. Great owners.

A friend recommended this restaurant for a steak dinner. We knew we were in for it when none of the tables were set and that half of the room was in darkness. We ordered the 10 ounce steak medium rare with stir fried vegetables and a salad and soup. The waitress came back and said they don’t have any soup. What we got was not a steak but three thin pieces of over cooked chewy roast beef. We asked the waitress if this was what she served all the customers. She gave us an apologetic grin and said«yes». We choked it down, paid $ 43 plus tip and left.

Food good, drinks good, service good. If someone puts money in the Jukebox the atmosphere changes from quiet and congenial to deafening cacaphony. Most unappetizing. Try the Carribean specialties. I would go back if they unplugged the Jukebox but I am probably in the minority. Wish they had a Happy Hour!
