Just signed up. Cannot yet speak to the veg/​fruit quality, but the founder/​president was super friendly and nice when I signed up. Looking forward to my first box.

I really like the flexibility they offered — ability to sub out different fruits and veg six times per order each week. Also their customer service is terrific — if I get something that quickly turned moldy, they always replace and/​or add bonus gifts to my next order

I wish I could give this awesome company more than 5 stars! I have had experience nothing but outstanding experiences with this business. I get a small box of fruit delivered to my apartment weekly and the fruit is absolutely delicious; my mom loves that I am staying healthy by eating organic. I eat out a lot so the fruit is perfect for me because I always have something to snack on. Sometimes I add one of the organic frozen pizzas they have to my order. It just depends on if they have them in stock that week. Delivery drivers are courteous and the prices are cheaper than going to Whole Foods — there is no reason not to use Golden Gate Organics and I give them my enthusiastic recommendation.

I love having my Golden Gate Organics box show up every Friday. They send me an E-​mail early in the week & I can change anything & add items. I’m grateful that they deliver out in the ‘burbs!

Okay, first off, these people have great customer service. I was concerned about having my box delivered (I live in a gated community) and they took great pains to ensure the box was delivered to my door. I’ve tried a previous company (don’t wanna mention who) and they left the box outside the gate and it was stolen.
But unfortunately I was surprised to find that most of the products in my box were imported. I had assumed that all the produce came from the area, or at the most, from California. But that wasn’t the case. Most of the produce came from South America. I can get the same produce at Safeway.
Until they go all local, I am gonna take my business elsewhere.

Advertises that you will never have anything you don’t want, LIES. Says they will make it up to you, LIES. Gave 3 stars because the fruit and veg is especially yummy, but bad customer service.

Veggies and fruits are perfect, substitutions are easy, cc is kept safe, communication is excellent. Definetly feel like I“m dealing with people who care. If I can get them to take their box every week, they will get 6 stars!

Just met Corey on Earth Day. He gave a great preso on organic food at my company event. He seems to be a very honest guy who cares about his company, the produce and his customers. I have just signed up for my first order and I can’t wait to see all the goodies.

I actually just switched to GGO because I saw what my neighbor was getting. I was having deliveries from a competitor, until food started arriving with mold on it, greens were mush, and oranges were more acidic than my white vinegar I use for cleaning. Their webpage is easy to navigate, and the food I’ve had from my neighbors box is prime. I’m glad I made the switch.

4.5 stars, but the customer service puts Corey over the top.
I have been ordering boxes off-​and-​on for over a year. I currently order a medium fruit and veggie box and I am very satisfied. The quality of the produce is usually better than what I can get from the farmer’s market and these guys will bring it to my door. They work hard to provide an incredible variety week over week. Substitutions are simple with this company– I have a standing list of items I don’t ever want in my box that they will automatically substitute for me, and on a weekly basis I can swap out items or add extra. When there are problems with my order (and there have been problems, no one is perfect) I get a response in less than 24 hours and either a refund, a credit, or that item is added to the next box. I feel like this company really takes care of me as a customer.
GGO now has coffee, breads, tofu, and other items in addition to produce. If they add farm-​fresh eggs and cheese I would never have to wait in line at the grocery store again!

I signed up after seeing an ad on Facebook for Golden Gate Organics. I’ve been so pleased with every box. We receive a hand delivered box of veggies and fruits every other week. The items are always fresh, never to ripe or bruised. Also, I love the ability to go online and check out my upcoming order, make changes or add extra items. We’ve added coffee and bread, both excellent and from local sources! I’ve decided to up my order to weekly. Additionally, the GGO employees are very sweet and helpful. My delivery guy brings my box up to my apartment door with a smile. I would heartily recommend this service!

Found this service a few years ago at a street fair. There were a few other organic produce delivery companies there. However, Corey, the owner was there and his passion for NON-​GMO Organic food was contagious! I signed up and have been enjoying my box for about 2 years now. Two things differentiate Golden Gate Organics: Service, website. The website is simple modern, pleasant to use, and simple! The service is great allowing 5 substitutions! I always configure my box prior to shopping Whole Foods Market. Once in a while there is a minor issue with the box but GGO is always there is explain what happened and make restitution. Love the service!

I just signed up and it was so easy and their website is really easy to navigate and to customize. You are able to view your boxes before they’re delivered each week; change any items you don’t want for those you do want; register the items that you don’t like (artichokes) so that you won’t EVER get them; etc.
Can’t wait to get my first box!

I love Tuesdays because I get a huge bag of wonderful organic produce. I like the sign up process because you get to choose a «likes» and «dislikes» for your deliveries and they will never give you anything on your «dislikes» list. I get a small box, but it is really packed with wonderful things and plenty for me. I find that I eat more produce now because its right in my refrigerator and I’ve been more adventurous, getting things I’ve never tried before. Last week I got parsnips which I would never buy at the store, and found a recipe for roasted parsnips and carrots (also from GG Organics) and it was wonderful. Corey is always positive, friendly, and helpful. He and his delivery folks always have a big smile on their faces and clearly love what they do.

Received my first medium, fruits and veggies box! I am so very happy! Everything looks so fresh and smells great! My box contains spinach, rainbow carrots, green onion, baby broccoli, avacado, tomato, cucumber, kiwi, oranges, Apple’s, and pears! The delivery guy was so friendly as well! So happy I finally found somewhere that suits our needs. Love being able to sub items out for what I actually want… a features others did not have! Thank you Corey! I will be continuing my deliveries and I will tell all my friends!

If it wasn’t for my wife, I would probably be well on my way to looking like one of those future humans in WALL-​E. Sure, I hit the gym every so often (lie), keep my drinking to a minimum (lie), and rarely eat junk food (lie), but I do have an unhealthy obsession with avoiding crowded places like markets (truth). As a result, I’d rather spend 30 minutes researching and ordering from Amazon than 10 minutes in any retail hell. Don’t judge me. (I’m married — that position’s been filled.)
My gorgeous, health-​conscious wife, however, will seek out the most obscure stores in the Bay Area based on their selection of organic foods and/​or Earth-​friendly products. I’m not opposed to the idea, I simply lack any sort of ambition that would overcome my intense hatred of retail-​mob-​mentality. You see, having had my ankles bashed in not once, not twice, but three times by little old Chinese ladies bee-​lining it to the sample station du jour, I have given up all hope of humanity where large masses of people and brick and mortar collide.

Great products + great prices + no store rage + happy wife = happy me. (Probably should have started with that…)

Two years now and we love the quality and the service. I have seen some gorgeous looking produce come my way and it’s all so fresh it keeps twice as long as the stuff from the grocery store. The web page is super easy to use and they are very flexible with things such as vacations. No contracts, easy, and high quality produce. I highly recommend to anyone to try.

I’m really impressed with the level of service AND flexibility offered by Golden Gate Organics. Corey and his team are dedicated to bringing the best produce to your door, and making sure it’s all the things you like. The website is easy, even fun, to navigate. You can customize your box to include only fruits, only vegetables, or a combination of both. This is really the way to go to make sure you are eating the best organic produce and supporting local business.

I’m not only impressed with the business model, but also the level of integrity with which the business is run. GGO has an excellent selection of products, an easy to use site and extremely flexible. I’ve found the owner, Corey, to bend over backwards to ensure customer satisfaction.

I tried another organic produce delivery service before choosing Golden Gate. I stuck with Golden Gate because their website was easier to navigate, I can substitute out the items that I don’t want or need, the produce is terrific, and if a something is not up to par, Cory never hesitates to send me more next time or give me a credit. Good customer service always tips the scales for me!
I get the small fruit and vegetable box every other week, which is perfect for us. What else is there to say? The other reviewers have said it all!

A friend of mine mentioned a while ago that she was using an organic produce delivery service and I thought it was a fantastic idea. However, the company that she uses doesn’t give you much (if any) control over what you get inside your box, so I was very hesitant to start a service like this. I did some research online for a different company with similar services and the Golden Gate website caught my eye immediately. So friendly and modern.
I was immediately impressed with the option to control everything online, even giving you the option to opt out of certain produce that you don’t like/​want (which is handy for me as I have a lot of things growing in my garden at home already). You can easily skip, add or cancel a delivery. They tell you exactly what you will be getting in the next delivery and you can sub anything you don’t wish to receive (with other fruit OR vegetable, even if you have subscribed to a «fruit only» box). It’s also a great way to try new things that you might just walk straight past at the supermarket or farmers’ market.
GGO is very active online and will do their very best to fulfill any requests you may have for the next week. The produce is amazing, you can really taste the difference compared to the organic produce in the supermarkets (who knows how long the produce has been sitting in the display there?). They donate any left over produce, which is always fantastic.

We have been getting a fruit & veggie box from GGO since the beginning of 2012 and I would recommend it to anyone who asked. The produce is always the best quality and the resulting meals are delicious! Not only do I have to travel to the store less frequently, but the weekly menu helps me plan out my meals. And most importantly, the owners care about their business and their customers. Every customer service experience I have had with them has been great! (Oh! And you can basically completely customize your box each week)

I LOVE this company. Everything about my experience with website, customer service, and the produce itself has been positive. Corey and team are incredibly responsive both on facebook and by email — responsive both in speed and also in quality of response. This service exceeds our expectations for a produce delivery service. The thing that convinced us to go with golden gate organics over other options is the ability for us to customize our menu every single week (in addition to logging general preferences for what we like or don’t like) and the ability to cancel or edit the box on short notice with one click. Also a plus is the option to add a standing order to your weekly delivery. I am so glad to support a local business like this one.

I tried 3 different organic box company and this one is the keeper. the quality of farm X 4 you was pretty bad. Goo eggs is on the expensive side.
their produces of Golden gate organics are fresh. a lot common items and some interesting mix. the customer services responds to me really quick on any changes or issues. I went to whole food and compare the price. Golden gate organics offered similar price and good quality. highly recommend it
