I read the other reviews and my experience was very positive overall. The people I spoke with were friendly and worked with me to get my car fixed before they estimated it to be done, which saved me having to rent a car!
I came her because that’s where Geico sent the tow truck with my car. On top of getting my car fixed quickly, they also some how made it look better than before the accident. I really appreciate that and I’d recommend them.
If you’re not used to the neighborhood, just take a Lyft to get there, because if you walk from BART you could get jumped.

The welding job they performed was top notch craftsmanship, and they did a really nice job with repainting certain parts of my car that had serious damages. I found three faults in the repair; they skipped putting back in a rubber rivot that holds the front seal of my wind shield, they put two interior panels back in the opposite order one should, and they didn’t order the right color door handle so they did a shotty masking job and painted over some stock door handle color to match my paint.
I saw at least three prostitutes on the street out front, if you’re into that. They were chunky and giving me the John-​eye, if that’s even a thing. The rest of the neighborhood, as others have mentioned, is sketch and I’m not sure why GEICO is affiliated with them. This is mostly the reason for the low rating.

I’m glad I had an great experience with these guys! After driving the horrible streets of Oakland. I ran over a crater or as the city would say pot hole. Don’t get me started on the city horrible streets! So after all that I get two bent rims and two flat tires. OK so that’s how my weekend started. so when I got home I called my insurance company and told them about the issue. They called the shop but they had already closed for the day. Saturday morning they sent a tow truck flat bed to pick up my ride. so since it was Saturday when they picked up my car I didn’t hear back till Monday which is ok. they did an over view of my car and gave me an estimate. Good thing I have a deductible the cost was high. They had my car for 5 days because of my after market wheels. Today I got my cat out was clean and they walked me around showing me all the work. Everything was great! The staff was super friendly and very informative. I hope I don’t have any more issues but if I did I will be giving them a call.

The staff at experience auto body was very nice and helpful. They always keep me updated on my repairs. They were even nice enough to give me a ride to the Bart station. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

My 2014 Acura TL driver side window was broken by someone. My wife had it towed to Experience Auto Body. Kae helped me and my wife out with our car. He also found additional damage to the seat, door panel from the glass, and I always got an update by a phone call or text.

I took my Porsche to Experience Auto Body after being rear-​ended. Mason, Christal and «K» handled the whole process in a professional manner. The workmanship was first rate, and the repair was completed quickly. They handled the insurance company. They also recommended a nearby rental car agency. We are very satisfied with this body shop and will use them again.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would! I have never been taken advantage, bullied, and coerced into such a horrible situation. BEWARE of this place, especially Miguel Rivera!!! My car was totaled in a parking lot by their client and Geico decided to tow my car here. He immediately declared my vehicle as a total loss and didn’t give me any of the comparisons until I followed up with him. I found the same exact car (same VIN number) they used for a comparison online for $ 1,000 and they wouldn’t even consider it. They also wouldn’t consider the work we had done to the car a week before the accident. To make things worse, he tried to make the decision for me, by towing my car back to my place without my permission. I kept asking to deal with a different individual other than Miguel, since he wasn’t treating me fairly. He just kept saying it was his file and there was nothing I could do about it. He wanted to close my claim as soon as possible because he was going on VACATION!!! Who does that!!! What makes things worse, was that he kept threatening to put a lien on my vehicle if I didn’t make a decision and pick up my car. I believe that’s against the law!!! This has been the worst car experience I’ve ever encountered!!!

This place put my emergency flashers out of commission, and then when I brought my car back to fix it, they couldn’t figure out what they had done wrong. (According to the 2^nd mechanic I took it to, the problem was very obvious and definitely their fault.) They also broke a button off of my radio, although they replaced it for free.
The shop’s location is pretty sketchy, and the only route back to BART has you walking through some pretty dicey territory in Fruitvale or waiting for the bus in said dicey territory. That alone would have put me off if Geico had not insisted that I get my work done here.
Speaking of Geico, the in-​house Geico rep does not keep a close eye on your case paperwork. The last time I came in, they would not allow me to take my car home because he was off work that day and forgot to explain to the people on duty that I had already paid my deductible.
No matter what Geico tells me to do, I’m not coming back here!

Great location. My car was recently vandalized in early dec of 2014, with having to find a location to have my car repaired through my auto insurance geico i sought out this location. I was amazed at the refreshing up to beat staff staff that help the process run just a lil more smoother. I want to give a special thanks to K and also Crystal i appreciate how knowledgable you two were and also how helpful you guys were, it was very much appreciated in such a crazy ordeal.

This body shop came recommended to me. I was told that they do a great and thorough job so I had my van towed here, yes, 103 miles from Roseville to Oakland. Kae was my contact and they took care of the van on the receiving end. I was quickly given an estimate within the same day. Within less than ten days Kae called me letting me know that the van was fixed! I had him send me pictures and he accommodated and sent me pictures of their work. The van looked good as new! Couldn’t pick up right away since I work 5 days a week and can’t make it within their business hours. We were able to pick up today, Saturday, and met Kae and also the owner, Mason. Did a few extras to the van (A/​C will be prepared for Roseville’s summer heat!), gave me tips on what maintenance work needed to be done. Both men were helpful and friendly. Great doing business with these gentlemen. Thank you… my van is safely home!
The shop is gated all around and the autos seemed safe inside their garage. The office is nice and clean and the location was easy to find. Recommended!

Kae from experience was awesome. He always updated me on how my car was and I was amazed with the work they did on my truck.

Yesterday after work, I rolled down one of the rear windows on my car, and it wouldn’t roll back up. I called GEICO, even though I knew it probably wouldn’t be covered, and they sent me here. All I asked was for a closed window, as I didn’t want to make my car an easy mark for thieves, and they did just that in about an hour’s time. The best part? They didn’t even charge me. The staff was all really friendly and professional — if, Lord forbid, I need body work, I’ll be back here.

A true professionl business. My vehicle was vandalized badly inside the front console. Didn’t think it could be repaired. Great service from the receptionist to the manager. Employee who did the repairs was great. Car looks brand new. Repairs done earlier than expected. Highly recommended.

I hate this place! My husband’s van was in an accident and we were told that they would have it fixed by the end of the week. What a joke! Not only did they spend the entire deductable, they put used parts into the van, and they had to replace the steering wheel column, which they did completely wrong! He could take his keys out of the ignition while the car was driving! That does not happen with an old van. Then we returned it to be re-​repaired, which they did but then the horn did not work. We tried to get them to fix it, «oh sorry, we’ve already used your deductable and the insurance won’t pay for more work. We tried to get Geico to take care of it but the repair place said that it was like that when we brought it in. NOT! 2 years later, still no repair or replacement for the horn. Our feeling was that there was some funny business with the insurance adjuster and the auto shop. We even complained to Geico further up the line saying that these guys seemed to be pulling a fast one, but apparently nothing came of it. Do not go here even if Geico tells you to. Tell them you want to go somewhere else and they will agree if you insist.

This place is an absolute joke. If you take your car here be prepared for horrible service. I have an Audi A4 and geico took my car here for repair. This body shop said it would be all finished within a week. They called me on a Thursday saying my car would be done at the latest Saturday. I called them Saturday and they apologized saying «sorry sir, it will guaranteed be done on Monday.» Monday came around and they told me Tuesday. Tuesday went by and they promised Wednesday. Wednesday came I called and they told me Thursday. Finally I got a call from them Thursday and they said my car was finished. One hour later I get a call again telling me that «oh we are sorry but we just realized that your AC isn’t pumping cold air it is gonna take another day.» Let me make note that there was never anything wrong with my AC before I took it to this place. Friday finally came and they told me my car was ready. Just wait it only gets better. So I go to pick up my car and I realize that the «ABS» light is on. I tell them and they tell me «oh that’s perfectly fine and if it continues to go on bring the car back.» So I leave the lot to go back to my house. My house is only 0.9 miles away from the body shop. I don’t even get half way home and the same problem that occurred for me to get my car in the shop happened again! I was furious. Here I was waiting on the side of the road for them to bring me a tow truck after they supposably fixed my car. DO NOT take your vehicle here you will be terribly disappointed. On top of that they didn’t even give me a loaner car or try to help my cause. This place is zero stars and 100 thumbs down. The only reason this review has 1 star is because I am forced to do that in order to submit this.

Wow. Just told that I can’t get my car back until 3 weeks beyond the date when it was supposed to be done. They are charging over 11 grand for this job and won’t even offer me a loaner for the extra time I won’t have my vehicle. I am thoroughly unimpressed. Take your car somewhere else!

I’m so happy i chose Experience over all the other shops. They not only did an excellent job at repairing my car. they explained in detailed everything they did to repair it as well as explained all the parts they used. The challenge in repairing my car is that it metallic grey and both bumpers had to be painted. Being metallic grey, i had other shops say that they cant match it perfectly, experience was able to do a great paint match! Much better than the last shop that painted the bumper. I hope i dont have to, but if i every need a body shop, Experience will be THE ONLY shop that I will consider!

My car was sideswiped while parked (from front to back on the driver’s side), and my insurance company referred me to Experience Autobody. My first contact was with Katricia, who was both nice and professional. It is a shame she is not the person working on the cars. After dealing with her, it was all downhill from there.
My wife drove my car home from the shop, so I didn’t see the car until the next day. I came down to my car, went to unlock it and thought «Well this isn’t my car, I don’t have tinted windows. But it sure looks like my car. Hmmmm». I walked around the car to find that it was indeed my car, but it now had ONE tinted window. Just ONE. The rear driver’s side window was darkly tinted. I called the shop and was told to bring the car back, and that they would fix it. I met the owner, Mason, who said, «oh yeah, that window IS a little bit different from the others». I was thinking, «A little bit!?». How could they not have noticed? Did they think I just wouldn’t notice? Or that I would appreciate having one window tinted? He assured me that they would have it fixed by the end of the day, and that they would pay for a rental car. True to his word he had the window all fixed by 4:00 pm and I thought that was the end of it. I drove away thinking, well at least they made it right.
Four weeks later I noticed that there were a couple cracks in the paint on my bumper, and the paint was also peeling off. I called my insurance company and told them about the paint, and they asked me to at least take it back to the shop so that they could see what was going on. Against my better judgment, I went back to Experience Autobody. Again I met with Mason, and he looked at the bumper, and said to me «Oh you must have hit something hard.» I told him that I didn’t hit anything. He said well you should be careful when you park, because someone must have hit you hard. I said but there is absolutely no damage to the bumper other than the paint cracking and peeling. If someone hit me that hard, I think it would have left a dent. He said no. .. that the bumper was flexible and would bounce back into shape but that the paint was not flexible and so it cracked. He «generously» offered to fix the bumper at no charge. Again, against my better judgment I let him do it.
I came back to pick my car up, the cracks in the paint had been painted over (not fixed) and my bumper was now attached incorrectly. On Toyota corollas there should be a space between where the bumper and car meet. There was no longer a space and it just looked poorly mounted. Now I started looking at everything closer and I realized that the paint on that side of the car did not have the same «depth» to it as the original paint. It was just kind of flat looking. Mason said that I could bring the car back another day and he would have the bumper fixed. At this point I decided to cut my losses and contact my insurance company and let them know I was going to the dealer to have the car properly repaired.
I went to Toyota of Berkeley, and they saw all the problems I noticed and also found some more issues that were hidden. The bumper was on wrong, the paint was the wrong kind, they mounted one door incorrectly, used the wrong kind of bolts, did not have the proper weather stripping on the door. All kinds of stuff. Berkeley Toyota had to do $ 3000 in additional repairs to fix Experience’s poor workmanship. DO NOT GO TO EXPERIENCE AUTOBODY. DON’T DO IT.
