At close to 6 months, I was about to go back to work, and our son was still waking up every 2 – 3 hours at night. We were all sleep deprived and at a loss for what to do next.
We spoke with Anne on the phone first, and then met with her several times. We appreciated how quick she always was to respond to our phone calls or emails.
Anne has 2 kids of her own and had experienced first hand so much of what were were going through. We really felt like we were working with someone who knew what she was talking about.
Anne helped us come up with a sleep strategy that we felt comfortable with. It took a little work, but we followed the plan that she designed for us, and within a week our baby was sleeping 11– 12 hours a night. It really was amazing.
Now, almost 5 months later, our son still goes to bed at 7:30pm and wakes up at 7:00am. Unbelievable!

I have seen her several times over the last year for struggles with both of my children — who are now ages 1 and almost-​5 years. She is a compassionate and careful listener who provides practical solutions to problems that seem hard to manage and solve on your own. Her action plan always reflects where you are, what type of parent you are and what your needs are — rather than following a particular method. The plan evolves after your session with her through email contact and continued direction and encouragement. And by «plan» i mean you will get an email outlining what you are going to do (which you, of course, discussed in your session). It eliminates all the self-​doubt, questioning and middle-​of-​the-​night-​internet-​combing!
Many of the reviews here are about her help with sleep training — and she has worked miracles in our house including teaching me to help our son (age 4) to sleep through the night (again) on his own. he stopped after the birth of our daughter… AND training our daughter to sleep through the night — which included a comprehensive plan related to eating and nap schedules too.
But where Jessica has brought me the most peace is with behavior «problems» my son was having at school and at home. I felt so out of control and desperate… and Jessica calmly and entirely without judgment or shame helped us learn how to help him and help ourselves. In one session, she reviewed his school parent/​teacher evaluation form with me and provided me with reassurance, encouragement and direction. She provided information about age-​appropriate expectations and behaviors. We have learned, with jessica’s help, to help our son manage his own emotions — an invaluable skill — and have learned how we participate in escalating or, hopefully, deescalating emotional situations.
I am so very grateful for Jessica’s skill and compassion. She has been an invaluable part of my growth as a mom.

Dr. Jessica has helped us tremendously with our children. Her consultation fees aren’t inexpensive, but get what you pay for. In fact you get more, because a well-​rested family is priceless. I’d read a few books on baby sleep strategies, but our phone conversations and email exchanges with Dr. Jessica were more educational, practical, and successful.

Dr. Jessica was a lifesaver my first 6 months as a new mom. I was overwhelmed with all the information about when and how to help my baby sleep. I was also sleep deprived myself and was getting alot of conflicting information of which none of felt like the right fit for my family. I consulted with Dr. Jessica over email and we set up a phone coaching appt. I was so relieved I did this because within 30 minutes I had all of my questions answered, concerns lifted and a new plan to sleep train my baby. And it worked perfectly! Again when my baby changed his sleep habits I did another email consultation with Dr Jessica and same results. My baby sleeps 12 – 13 hours through the night, naps regularly with no crying every day. My son loves his crib and going to sleep. I attribute alot of this to the coaching I received from Dr. Jessica, what a gift!

Jessica brought a peace to our home.
After talking with Jessica and deciding on a method that worked for us we have seen a dramatic change in our 1 yo son’s ability to put himself to sleep, stay asleep and nap twice a day. We’re truly amazed. We thought we had a ‘bad sleeper’…not so.
What we love about Jessica is that she bases all of her advice on research. We had read ad nauseum about baby’s sleep, sleep training, ‘no-​cry’ sleep training, etc. They all told you ‘it works’, but none of them told you why or how, or what might be going on in your baby’s head. Along with that she gave us realistic expectations. Jessica’s sound advice as a mother and a psychologist, we felt, gave us the whole package.
We consulted with Jessica on several different occassions as our son went through developmental changes and his sleep patterns worsened, or as the current situation would ‘no longer work for us’. She is kind, patient, thoughtful and helped us achieve what we never thought we could — we recommend her highly.

Jessica helped us transition our 15 month old out of the family bed after weeks (nay, months) of awful sleep. I emailed her at 7am in the morning and heard back from her before I made it to the train to work. She was very empathetic and helped us tailor our efforts to our unique situation, and gave us options for a slower or quicker transition and let us choose. I felt silly needing help, like I should be able to figure this out from the books, but Jessica was beyond valuable in helping us cut through all of the polarized perspectives on sleep in the popular literature. She puts the needs of your family and of your baby’s development first, explaining your baby’s emotional and physical needs for his age and giving you a range of recommendations that suit them. Our transition went really smoothly — within days our son was sleeping all night in his crib with little to no crying, and in the past few months his ability to go down on his own and sleep in his crib have only gotten better. Jessica has helped me with small questions since our first chat, continuing to offer relevant, flexible and tailored advice as our family’s needs evolve.
