I have been assisting women in birth since 2002. I am a professionally trained and experienced doula who attends to the emotional and physical needs of women (and their partner), before, during, and after birth. I can offer various comforts such as position changes, massage, visualizations, and aromatherapy throughout the last part of pregnancy and labor. I help to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment whether it be a home or hospital birth. I support the mother (and her partner) to make informed choices and facilitate communication between the mother, partner, and medical caregivers. I am committed to helping my clients to feel safe, respected, and empowered in every choice that is made in the birthing process.

History

Established in 2002.

I started my business as a birth doula after attending my first birth in 2002. I am constantly awestruck by the incredible strength of women and the «labor of love» that it takes to bring a baby into the world.

I am a professional Birth Doula trained at the Santa Rosa Birth Center in Northern California in 2001. Since then I have attended births at home, in the hospital, and in birth centers throughout Northern California. I love supporting families to bring their child into the world and bring that passion and dedication to my work as a doula.
