Great people! I converted my 4runner from a automatic 2wd to a manual 5spd 4wd with Cypress’ help. They gave me a reasonable price and most importantly they kept their promise to get me ALL the parts needed! The guys in the shop pulled all the parts very carefully and made sure I could install it on my 4runner.
They even bought parts from other salvage yards if they didn’t have it without charging me extra!

Some in the auto repair industry get dinged for dishonesty, but kudos to Rob at Cypress for giving me a «Miracle on 28^th Street» this Thanksgiving. He found my stolen brief case in the street, traced it to me, and arranged for me and the bag to be reunited. Thank you, Rob!

I called this place not too long ago, the «Manager» or so called guy in charge has the most horrible attitude, I called to ask for a part, did not understand what he said so he started acting rude and hung up on me. Not a way for treating costumers.

I have been looking for a difficult-​to-​find part for my older car for two years. Rich answered the phone, was friendly and had a lead on one within, literally, two minutes and connected me so I could get what I needed. I wish someone had recommended this place at the beginning of my search! A helpful experience that I am thankful for.

My dealings were with 2 people — Mike and Rich. I run a small repair shop and needed parts from 2 vehicles. I ordered the front bumper and hood from a Mini Cooper and a transmission from a Saturn Ion. I received the parts with moderate damage to the hood including scratches, scuffs, dents, etc. The front of the bumper also had scratches and scuffs. The shipping pallet was not damaged, nor was the plastic wrapping covering all of the parts. The damage occurred before shipping.
Mike was great, professional, and courteous every time I spoke with him. He knew exactly what was going on with all the transactions I was doing. He gets a 4 ½ star because he wasn’t there for the final stages of the order.
Rich was the last person I spoke with about the transaction. After finalizing the price for all of the parts with Mike, Rich called me back and charged me an extra $ 70 for the grill that was attached to the hood and was included in the price when speaking with Mike.
After receiving the parts and realizing they were damaged, I immediately called Rich while I was still at the shipping facility. He said he did not send damaged parts and that it must have been the shipping. I informed him there was no damage to the plastic wrap or the pallet. He said to send him photos. As soon as I got home I sent him an email with photos. He called me back and asked if I filed a claim with the shipping company. I said no, since there was no damage from shipping. He proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do since I didn’t file a claim with the shipping company and he didn’t send damaged parts. His quote to me: «I don’t send damaged parts, you know that right?» I responded by saying I didn’t know him and he laughed.
Frustrated with the week long process, my customer finally agreed to a $ 100 discount on the order of over $ 1300. I was very frustrated with the ordeal and will not be doing further business with his company.
My recommendation is to only do business with them in person!

I needed a few parts for my Daughters VW Passat. When I called the shop the owners son answered and told me they had the parts that I was looking for+.
I went to the shop and they had everything I needed at a real price! They were friendly and professional as well! I will go there again. No attitude just business and knowledgable. Thanks Cypress!

Thanks to Nic, Mike, and the rest of the crew at Cypress for making it easy and painless to say goodbye to my Camry. Not only did they offer me the best price in town for my dead beast but they were ridiculously friendly and easy going to boot.
Now I’m going to pretend that the old Cammy Cam is romping around at a farm upstate and not being torn limb from limb for parts.

These guys really helped me out after months of searching for tires and rims for an old car. I had been all over the place and found out about them from a referral from the owner of Junebug Towing (also highly recommended on Unilocal). These people hook you up and charge fair.

Polite, friendly & quick to respond to phone queries. Not only did they have my wheel I was looking for, but it was already tagged & ready to go! (you may or may not be so lucky, but they’ll call you back when it’s really to be picked up-​if you don’t want to wait around for it).
Not only does it make auto repair much cheaper, but I really like the idea of re-​using salvageable parts. We got too much disposable tech going on as it is!

Awesome resource in the East Bay! Knowledgeable (mostly-​friendly) staff. If they don’t have the auto-​part you’re looking for within their impressively well organized warehouse, they can and will probably find it for you (via inter/​intra net).
It’s like a locally run used Napa auto parts store. Booya!

went to a bunch of other yards run by actual Neanderthals before finding these guys. Not only were they willing to help, but they were totally friendly and very helpful. they even said i could return the seat if it didnt work for me– it did work though because they knew what they were talking about. Also, its in a warehouse, so it was still in nice condition. They even wanted less $ than the other guys.
