It’s only been a few months but I feel like I’ve been coming here for years. My new family.

Earlier this year I broke my top front tooth (the central incisor) in an accident. I needed immediate attention and a neighbor of mine who is a long time patient of Dr. Perry’s suggested that I contact him to get my tooth repaired. I was not a patient of Dr. Perry’s, but because of the severity of the break, he agreed to have me come in right away on a drop in basis. Dr. Perry and all of his staff were pleasant and not at all bothered that their time with me extended their day. Most importantly, Dr. Perry did an outstanding job on repairing my tooth. Nearly six months later, I honestly cannot tell that the tooth has been repaired. He did an absolutely perfect job and was so gracious that he made an emergency dental procedure a pleasant experience. His services are first rate, and I recommend him highly for both general and cosmetic dental procedures.

Curtis has been my dentist for 25 years and his father was my dentist before him. Curtis and his staff are always friendly, funny and professional. Curtis was the first dentist to really educate me and caused me to start a flossing regimen and other dental hygiene practices that have sustained me for healthy living. He always takes the time to explain how dental care is an integral part of our overall health. They are always flexible with appointment times and on one occasion the office helped me in an emergency situation on a Sunday where I was in great pain and needed immediate attention. If you meet Dr. Perry it will be obvious that he absolutely loves what he does and genuinely cares about his patients. Sundra, Shirley, Kim and the other staff seem to follow Dr. Perrys lead and they all make you feel like family. Love it!

It’s a week that I keep emailing and calling to book an appointment, nobody responds nor returns my calls/​emails. So unprofessional, if they can’t take appointments they should at least answer to emails.

I was so afraid. from the moment I walked in the office team was very comforting. they listened to my concerns. and my horror stories from past visits with other dentists… Dr. Perry was very Nice and assured me he would never hurt me. and he never has. I still have a ways to go. but for now? Being able to smile with confidence? Is great! Thanks Dr. Perry

I first went to Dr. Perry after my previous dentist told me that I would probably have to simply live with an achy crown on one of my molars. A friend recommended me to Dr. Perry. He took one look at my mouth and found that my molar was cracked. After a follow up visit– voila — no more ‘chronic’ tooth pain. He also found several small cavities that my previous dentist had let linger (not sure why). After becoming a regular patient I finally started enjoying my visits to the dentist. His amazing staff helped get me on a great dental hygiene routine and it actually feels great to smile. He and his staff are professional and wonderfully friendly! Their office is also a few blocks from Oasis Café that makes great falafel wraps!

They’re fast, very friendly, and I just had a cavity filled and I didn’t feel a thing.

I have finally completed my dental work. Thanks to Dr. Perry who helped me through this process and did a very good job on my teeth. I must admit I do not like going to the dentist, but Dr. Perry and his staff made each visit a pleasant experience, and each appointment started on time. Dr. Perry has been my dentist for the past 5 years. Thank you Dr. Perry for my healthy teeth that show each time I smile.

I’m new to Dr. Perry but was pleased with his services. He told me they things I needed to get done but allowed me to choose which services I wanted without pressuring me. The staff is really nice and professional.

Dr. Perry and his staff are the best! Every 6 months, when I have my teeth cleaned, it is like visiting family. I am never kept waiting and Dr. Perry’s Novocaine technique is painless. I have been going to Dr. Perry for 13 years and never have had any problems.

I was dissatisfied with my previous dentist and got Dr. Perry’s name from 1−800-Dentist. Dr. Perry has a great chairside manner and I have been extremely happy with the work he has performed. The work done was always needed and he has never «sold» me things I didn’t need to have done.
His hygienists are friendly and courteous. His assistant and front office staff are top notch.

Okay, we all know that going to the dentist really sucks — well, for most of us anyway. Doubly so for me since I have a very sensitive mouth and dental trauma in the form of having to see EVIL dentists when I was a child. I swear you could cut of my arm and I’d be all «Whatever» — but set me down in a dentist chair and I’m crawling out of my skin.
Sorry Dr. Perry, but your office does looks a tiny bit sketchy on the outside so I was a little nervous on my first visit. What I discovered though is that all of the equipment and computer program are very state of the art and the office in incredibly clean. Dr. Perry even has TVs to watch while you wait in the dentist chair.
I’ve been seeing him for about 5 years now, after not having seen a dentist for many years due to fear. I went to him on recommendation of a friend who said he was gentle, kind, AND offered sedation dentistry. Yes, I have to go the sedation route when I get fillings.
Well my friend was right on the money. I’ve been extremely happy with Dr. Perry’s dental practice. He takes the time to actually listen to what the problem is (and what fears one may have) and deal with them directly and honestly. He is gentle, understanding and good at what he does. I’ve never had a problem with any of the work he’s done on my mouth.
Dr. Perry’s couldn’t be the great dentist he is without great staff (reception, assistant, hygienist). They all stand out as being particularly warm, polite, friendly and absolutely professional.
Also of note, is that he has never suggested a deep clean or cosmetic work to me (and I have truly fantastic insurance), so perhaps the other reviewer really did need the work done?

Wow. I’m really surprised and sorry to hear that the other reviewer had such a bad experience! I’ve been going to Dr. Perry for 4 years now, on the recommendation of a friend who grew up going to him and formerly to his dad. It’s a well-​run, friendly family business in a super convenient location. I’ve also been impressed with the work done by both the hygienists and by Dr. Perry himself. A couple concrete examples:
1. I’ve often had trouble with not being properly anaesthetized for fillings. Dr. Perry responded to my complaint that it still hurt and was willing to give more anaestesia AND more time to let it kick in.
2. One of my fillings was a little rough and was bothering me. I was able to come in the next day for a quickie fix-​it appointment.
3. When I became a new patient there, they gave me a full assessment of everything that could/​should be done to my mouth. From there, it was prioritized and I was given no heckling for refusing the cosmetic stuff.
4. They always give me an accurate bill for my portion only (I have Delta Dental, which takes months to pay, but they don’t make me pre-​pay their portion, as some other dentists do). There was once a billing error which I was notified of by phone while I was out of town. I was able to resolve the whole thing promptly and satisfactorily with the receptionists by phone.

At first I was surprised Perry was listed here but had no reviews at all– then I realized maybe his patients might be in too much pain to sit and actually write a review…
I made the terrible mistake of switching from my dentist of over a decade (see my rave review of Fong DDS) simply bc I was lazy and Perry had an office near my home at the time. When I first went to see him, I think I did the usual exam and check up– I was told I needed lots of work, a deep cleaning, had a ton of cavities (including, according to him, a huge one toward the back I think but we will get to that later), needed to replace some old fillings, and he suggested some aesthetic cosmetic work (ditto to all of the above for my husband also, btw). So I believe we started with the cosmetic work and really, I had no problems there– but this should have been a sign as if my teeth were really that bad, why would he start with the superficial treatment? Next we move to this much needed deep cleaning which of course cost above what is covered by insurance. Last but certainly not least for me was a «bad cavity and tooth» that had never bothered me at all, which he said needed to be capped completely. OK done– cost somewhere btwn $ 900 and $ 1400 I think. That same tooth began bothering me a few days later and here we are maybe 5 yrs later and I am strongly considering having it completely removed and replaced believe it or not. Also, he filled a back molar that last month had to be re-​filled due to pain and I was told it was a bad filling job and there was supposedly another cavity but I wouldn’t let him touch it after all I had experienced and incidentally, an exam elsewhere told me there was no cavity in that tooth at all. Let’s move on now to my ex hubby, shall we? He needed the same miraculous deep cleaning, cavity work, blah blah blah. He too was surprised as the tooth that supposedly needed to be filled never bothered him. Anyway, it was filled– a few days later whammo! Lots of pain which Perry couldn’t place (but sure did keep charging for per each emergency visit). In the end, he went to see my old dentist in pain with a fever and had the tooth yanked.
Still thinking about making an appointment here? I doubt it or I hope not! He is extremely friendly as is his staff so that can really fool a person I think. But if you still are in doubt, here’s some more info for ya; when it came to those out of pocket $ 65 per side (top and bottom) deep cleanings we needed so badly, we were told by Perry that once you have a deep cleaning like that he repeated them– hence he was not willing to utilize our 2x pr yr free regular cleanings covered by insurance. Furthermore, when I changed dentists and went in for a regular cleaning, the assistant told me she could see no signs whatsoever that I had undergone a really good deep cleaning to begin with! As for all that great cosmetic dentistry he did. .. its already in need of repair and more bonding and its only been abt 5 yrs. In actuality, I am quite surprised I don’t look like a toothless redneck after seeing Curtis Perry.
