Comfort Inn & Suites

I guess this should be the worst hotel in all America. My wife had a business conference so we chose to stay in this hotel for a week and I thought I will connect to my work from the hotel. The rooms were OK (not so good) but the most pathetic thing is that WI-​FI disconnects and re connects every 2 minutes. I was not able to work at all with the internet connection frequently restarting. When I contacted the hotel staff they told me to directly contact the internet provider of the hotel (now, why the hell should I do that, its not my freaking job!!).
receptionists in the lobby were bad and rude. my peace of mind went away and I was not able to work the whole week.
I would give 0 stars if I could and I highly recommend AGAINST this hotel. Go elsewhere may be in Pleasanton.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Comfort Inn for the 2016 New Years weekend a total of 4 days… my honey totally pampered me and this was a great place for him to do it!
I absolutely love the staff there. On New Years Eve the heater went out, Mia came up from the front desk and tried to rest it herself! And of course she offered to move us.
Then when we checked out, I left a Black Hills Gold necklace that belonged to my mother, I called the front desk and Mia told me to call her back in 20 minutes and she would try to locate it. She did, and I retrieved my mother’s kneclace!
She is the nicest person!
I would like to send a special thank you to Mia and all the staff at the a comfort Inn.
I will definitely return here.

I stayed here for New Years Eve and did not have a pleasant experience compared to other budget hotels in the area.
Here is what was wrong with our trip and why I would not recommend this location:
1) The manager was awful. She treated her employees poorly and that was unfortunate because the staff was so nice. However, she was rude to guests too. She did not aproove any late checkout for the whole hotel because there was a lot of people staying
2) In-​ammenaties were bad too. The heater didn’t push out hot air all night and it was below 45 degrees.

Just be aware — a dated, but clean, hotel in a very bad area. Folks are nice and the place is kept up — but don’t think of going for a walk outside unless you’re very well armed.

I reserved a room for my son and his girlfriend two days ago with a special request written into the reservation to charge the card immediately and contact me if there was any problem as it was for my son and his girlfriend. I gave my phone number and the hotel had my email address as well. I received a confirmation so thought all was well — I’m in Virginia at the moment and didn’t want any issues. My son and his girlfriend arrived and were told the reservation could not be honored because I wasn’t there. AND THEY WERE TURNED OUT INTO THE STREETS OF OAKLAND! I called Choice Priveleges who told me the credit card had to be presented — why didn’t anyone contact me two days ago??? They had time to send me a confirmation! Then Choice called to cancel the reservation and were told I will be charged! So they couldn’t charge the card when it wasn’t presented but they can now that they turned my son and girlfriend out on the street???

doesn’t even deserve one star. was not helped by the two girls behind the counter because they were doing a «shift change». when i finally was approached to check in, they informed me that the room I pre booked and paid for online in advance was void for some paperwork reason. just walked out on those sarcastic and rude girls behind the counter. never going to comfort inn again that’s for sure.

Ok before my last Oct 16 – 17, I would have given this hotel 5+ stars… my family and I frequent this hotel and their sister hotel Quality Inn quite often, and we have never had anything like this happen to us…
We checked in on the 16^th with no problem, went to our room and slept a little then got up and left… we returned later that night and got up and left around 9am… when we left I will not say it was clear of garbage, but all our garbage that was not in their tiny azz cans were in bags next to the desk…
Today I received an email from the Asst Manger Candy Wooby (whom is rude as hell) informing me that my family and I were banned from the hotel… they accused us of stealing the night stand, and dilberately defacing the room… the way we left the room was nothing like the picture shown… and when I asked the asst manager did they view the cameras she yelled at me and said I will get to it and call you back… and when I asked her why she was so nasty she snapped at me then hung up in my face…
I don’t understand how me or anyone in my party was able to cause all that damage and no1 heard anything nor seen us carrying out a BIG AZZ night stand… and how you goin to accuse and ban someone with out doin a full investigation…
They desk clerk told me b4 I actually got the manager that she did not have time to talk to me cause she just hired some new people… nor would they give me the Corporate #, everyime I asked for it they hung up on me… for now on I will be doin a video b4 I stay or put any of my belongings in a hotel room…

The front desk staff very unprofessional. When you ask a question they respond as if you are interrupting their conversation and their response is almost insulting like if you just asked a dumb question.
In additon to that, my employer pre-​paid for my stay however they still charged the entire amount to my card and it’s been over 13 days since I checked out… I still haven’t received my money back. I have called to inquire about my deposit 4 times already. The first time, I called 5 days after my stay and they said wait 48 hours. I waited, called again and they said something wasn’t done right, give it 24 hours. I called again and the representative said that the previous person did not do it right, wait 48 hours. I waited 5 days and still nothing. I called again and spoke to Mia, which was the last person I spoke to, she remembered who I was and said she told me to «wait 48 hours» or «7−10 business days». I told her that is not what she said initially, so she got really defensive and told me not to get an attitude with her. I asked for a manager and she said their was not one on site and if I wanted to check I can drive out there.
She also said at this point there is nothing she can can do anyway so what do I want. I ended the call by telling her that she was right, at this point there was nothing she can do for me but what i do want is for this to happen to someone else therefore she needs to ensure she provides others with accurate information and work on her customer service skills.

Sketchy neighborhood, so forget about going outside and jogging around the block. Nice staff. Mildew in the a/​c. Pretty good breakfast. Lovely, large, well appointed rooms. Convenient to the airport.

On our way here, my family and I got caught in a drag race. One of the cars crashed into a lamp post. Just be careful getting there, it’s not exactly the safest neighborhood. The suite was smaller than I had hoped. The bed wasn’t that big and I was hoping the area would have more space. The front desk lady was great and sweet. The jacuzzi was kinda gross, so I didn’t step foot in it. I did eat the complimentary breakfast and it was good. 3 ½ stars.

Just down the street from Oracle. We had a nice room with 2 queen beds, clean, spacious, fridge, TV, a/​c working. We had a good nights sleep before heading over to the Golden State Warriors parade. Complimentary bfast was pretty good. The scrambled eggs were in hit.

Don’t expect to sleep, walls are paper thin. The quiet talking in the room next door sounded like they were next to my bed.

Was a little skeptical to stay here because of the area but the reviews weren’t bad. Needed something within walking distance to the coliseum. I’m glad we choose Comfort Inn. Very clean, bed very comfortable. Good hot breakfast. I have nothing bad to say about it. We would stay here again.

This is next to an abandoned hotel in an «iffy» industrial area with a lot of homeless roaming around.
Wifi didn’t work on 3 floor, but did on first. I told front-​desk, they referred me to 3^rd-​party tech support, was never fixed.
This is an old building in need of some major renos.
There’s an old sauna, but no there’s no pool here.
Jacuzzi is very dirty on the bottom and was foaming over.
You need a ticket to enter for breakfast (probably due to too many homeless).
Elevators feel like something old from the 1970’s with weird creaking noises.
The room was adequate, but we got two double-​beds, and one was too close to the a/​c.
There was a recliner where the sofa should have been.
The microwave didn’t have a carousel, this and the fridge looked to be 20yrs old.
I never saw the hotel manager, and I didn’t get a warm feeling from any of the front desk persons.
SUMMARY: The overall value you get here is similar to an old roadside motel that has 200 rooms. I suggest staying in a different area, not so run-​down.

3 stars is a good thing. For a hotel in this area in Oakland… The location… Well the location is good if you have business in the area. We came down for a raider game so for us the location was great. We walked down to the stadium and walked back after the game.
The place was clean, the staff gas ok (just doing their job) and the breakfast in the morning was good for a free breakfast.
I would stay here again.

I’m giving this place four stars not because it’s super nice but because it’s worth what you are paying.
Updated rooms, fast wifi, free parking and decent free breakfast spread.
Some of the employees are a little rough around the edges but manageable.
There was an incident during my stay with an employee and the manager was very helpful and fixed it fast.
For $ 89 a night you can’t beat it.
It’s not anything fancy but it’s doable.

How to rate this hotel ??? Well overall not bad. I gave it a 3 star only because you can’t cut one in half. Lol let’s be honest my room was clean except for a few long hairs on the floor and the spa area needs cleaning. The breakfast was what you would normally expect from a hotel… No black bear dinner… Here but in most part it didn’t make me feel sick or nothing. The lady that check me in last night was rude. I stay in lots of hotels due to my job and trust me I would left if this was for my personal stay. But overall would I stay here again if needed to? Yes I got a good night sleep.

Spent 2 nights and overall ok. Beds fine and amenities ok. I was bummed they didn’t have a pool for the kids. The breakfast was good and the girl kept it stocked. The front desk was very friendly so I give them high marks on setvice. The place is simple for a quick stop.

The hotel itself was a pretty standard chain hotel. Nothing fancy, but everything worked. There was a fridge, microwave, and coffee pot in the room. The AC worked fine, the windows opened (I always like to air out hotel rooms!), the bed was comfortable. The free breakfast was pretty impressive– cereal, scrambled eggs, DIY waffles. The coffee was pretty good for free coffee. Free wifi was fast enough to stream video, though connecting on my phone was a little bit of a hassle.
The front desk staff was excellent though. I was very impressed. They were all very friendly and helpful, and not just one person. All staff I interacted with were really nice people. I would have given this hotel 3 stars for being average, but I’m giving them an extra star for such great front desk staff, something I find very rare at this kind of establishment.
Edit 9÷22÷14: I stayed here again a few months later and had the same experience. Really nice staff, particularly the woman who worked at breakfast, so it wasn’t just a one time experience. Definitely a good option to stay near the hotel or stadium.

We stayed here last night. It was easy parking, easy check in, and in our room within 10 minutes for the night. The heat worked well, the room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable, and got a good nights sleep, (very quiet). In fact, there isn’t a thing that I can complain about. The breakfast was very good; sausage and eggs were homemade, coffee is good whether in room or with the breakfast. The people are all friendly and helpful. A shuttle runs to and from the airport every half-​hour. I have no complaints at all. I have to give the Comfort Inn a five star.
