People, be smart and come to Oakland to fix your problems! I had an immigration issue being complex and long lasting. This buffet solved my problem immediately, very professional, expect a very step by step, strategic, realistic approach, making the case even look simple. It is a very austere place but people here is effective, and generous. I would even say they do need to renovate or be more modern, but Oakland looks like that anyway.

I must thank to the assistant, to the staff, to my lawyer Jesse. I truly believe they gave me the comfort and pace of mind I needed for years! They solved a very complicated case. I can compare this service with the lawyers I had to deal with back in DC and NY.
In fact… consultation in DC is $ 370 and the case was not solved. I also had a lawyer in NY, who charged me and my company $ 600 for a 30 minute consultation.
This people is patient, consulting an attorney is generally a headache. This is a small office and I hesitated in the beginning of the capabilities; but even the assistant Jade is bilingual, probably multilingual here because I saw her speaking with another customer in the waiting area.
Really satisfied! I expect not to have a problem but these are of the places I would come back and definitely recommend them to anyone.

Background:
While my father was bound to be deported, he was visited by an attorney from the UC Davis law school. This attorney told my dad he had a strong case and recommended Bean and Lloyd, LLP. After a HORRIBLE 2+ month experience with a different immigration attorney where I was getting minimum to no results, I decided to contact Bean and Lloyd. Immediately I felt not only compassion for my father’s situation but advice, a realistic outcome, a time-​frame, cost, and the sense of urgency and attention I was looking for from an attorney. The attorney I hired before Angela Bean was not only ineffective, but she was inexperienced and didn’t seem to care about my father’s situation at all. Every time I would e-​mail her, she would reply with the short answers that wouldn’t even answer my questions. I felt that my dad’s case wasn’t important to her and even felt lied to about what she was doing to get my dad released. Angela later discovered that she had never even petitioned a bond release like she claimed! There was no proof of it either. Not only was this situation the most stressful time of my family’s life, but the unnecessary stress added by this terrible attorney was actually cruel.

My father’s case was VERY complex as it was an older case that spanned from the early 1990’s — 2014. Another reason why I appreciate her even more is because she speaks SPANISH! I have been my parent’s translator since I was 7 years old. Having an attorney that is able to communicate fluently with my father in a situation like this is truly priceless. She would also visit him all the way in Yuba, CA… she did that several times actually! My other attorney never had a phone conversation with him during those first 2 months, much less visit him in Yuba. I truly didn’t expect that from her, but she is just amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better attorney.
