Robert L.

Business Owner

Robert founded this firm in 1995, but his work as an advocate for refugees and immigrants spans over 30 years. He speaks both Spanish and Portuguese and has successfully represented hundreds of immigrant clients, many with complex and difficult cases, at the immigration agencies and the federal courts.

Robert obtained his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. After graduation, Robert was selected by the U.S. Attorney General’s Honor Program and was appointed to the position of Judicial Law Clerk for U.S. Immigration Court in San Francisco.

He studied Spanish and Sociology as a college student in Wisconsin in the 1970s. His graduation from the University in 1980 coincided with the «Mariel Boat Lift,» when Fidel Castro permitted 125,000 Cubans to board small boats and leave Cuba. Robert’s first job out of college was to work in the refugee camps set up by the U.S. government to house and resettle the thousands of Cuban refugees who landed on our shores.
