We specialize on understanding our customer. Some people want their cars in pre accident condition, some want their whole car done, and in this economy we understand that some just want to get the functionality to get their car to get them from point A to point B.

We try to understand where you’re coming from as well as what your expectations are. We have the staff to accommodate those needs and exceed your expectation.

We work with mainly American and Japanese cars but have worked on everything from Corvettes to BMW’s. Whatever it may be, feel free to ask for our opinion and we’ll give you our honest answer. If I can’t fix it, I’ll let you know. If there is a more cost effective route, we’ll let you know. Give us a chance and let us show you what we’re all about.

Established in 1978.

With over 30 years at this location, we’ve positioned ourselves as the premier body shop in East Oakland. With our remodeled facilities and multiple backgrounds from fleet, high end, dealership, and cost effective repairs, we can tailor our skills to meet your budget or insurance constraints.

Ray W.

Manager

Started my vehicle career as a hobby learning by taking apart and putting back together cars. Then moved into doing fleet work for Enterprise Rent A Car as a the fleet and Vehicle Repair Manager for the San Francisco Bay Area. Then moved on and promoted to handle the Greater Houston area managing multiple body shops and repair facilities.

I then moved back into the Bay Area and began managing a body shop in San Rafael specializing in high end cars such as Rolls Royce, Mercedes, and Ferrari.

From there, I have landed in Sunny East Oakland, and am looking forward to bring my experience and customer service skills to the customers at Bay Bridge Auto Body!

Holy crap! My car got scratched up and, not knowing a damn thing about cars, I went in expecting a pricey quote and to not have access to my car while it was being repaired. They not only did not upsell me, they shwed me how superficial the damage was, and buffed it out for FREE! Plus they responded to my Unilocal message extremely quickly. Excellent communication, honest guys, they have earned my business for when I need more serious repairs in the future.

5 stars are not enough!
I came to these guys to get my Toyota Camry ’12 repaired from a collision I had with another car. The entire front of my car needed repair.
When I had the car accident I was more worried about dealing with the insurance since I had never been involved in a car accident and let’s keep it real, som insurances are a pain in the butt to deal with. I went through my insurance company and bay bridge auto body made this entire experience a graceful one. They called me often throughout the 2 weeks my car was here to keep me updated. I appreciate that because my insurance company never called me. And when I called them to ask questions they were always so nice. By far the best customer service EVER!
My insurance didn’t cover the car rental so I had to get one on my own, i told them how important it was for me and my wallet to get my car back ASAP and «Bang» I got my car a whole week before the actual repair ready date. They returned my car back smelling good, clean, and shined my tires.
Bruce was so good at explaining everything regarding my car repairs and let me tell you that I’m not the brightest when it comes to cars or car parts or anything in the vehicle world.
I would recommend BBAB to everyone! Actually I have already lol

These guys are super professional and fast. Fortunately for me this was the first accident I have ever been in and they made it easy, painless and spelled everything out for me so I always knew what was going on. They arranged to have my rental car picked up /​dropped off at their shop so I didn’t need to take any other necessary steps. They did a great job and kept me informed almost every day on the progress of my car. Completely replaced my bumper and exhaust and work was done in 3 days. And it only took 3 days because they didnt learn about the damage to the exhaust until after they removed my bumper and had to wait for the part so it probably would have been faster. These guys are number 1 and from what I have read about other body shops in the area sometimes taking 2 or 3 weeks just to fix a bumper I was thankful it was this easy!

Best auto body shop I’ve ever been to! Did a side mirror replacement in about 15 or so minutes with reasonable price of about $ 220. The man of the hour award belongs to Ray Wong for the quick and exceptional customer service! Will go back if car needs any auto body work done!

My neighbor hit my brand new car and left me with the pain of dealing with the repair. Ray, the General Manager at Bay Bridge Auto Body was a delight and made this process absolutely painless. I highly recommend them as they totally exceeded my expectation. Superior customer service and quality of work and the car was ready earlier than expected. I received 6 quotes from other body shops with high ratings on Unilocal before I came to Bay Bridge. Unlike the other body shops, at Bay Bridge I immediately felt that I was in good, reliable hands. This is the place to go!

These guys are the best! Incomparable service! My old Honda had a damaged bumper. I
took it to five OTHER places for a quote to replace and paint. all said $ 950… on this 2001 car.
Bay Bridge suggested that the dented bumper could be simply popped out, and would look reasonable good… for $ 212. They did a great job, smart, fast, attentive, timely… they even offered to drive me home (a long way) and pick me up… for this small job! Plus they washed the car and vacuumed it, spruced up the interior dash and even cleared up a hazy headlight… at no extra charge!

It seems superfluous to add one more 5 star review to the 100% other 5 star reviews, but will add to the rest. My repair was a simple side-​mirror replacement which was done well, but I was most impressed with the customer service; I don’t know if I’ve ever seen better. They were very clear about estimates and timing for drop off/​pick up and offered to arrange for rental car (declined because I ride bike to and from).
The parts supplier send wrong part, necessitating my return to pick up the car. They were very apologetic, but most impressive, because they knew I’d have to ride my bike down, actually offered to pick me up to save the ride… amazing! When new part arrived they immediately called and worked me in to complete the job while I waited.
Although their repair was quite simple, such meticulous and sincerely caring customer service implies that they take the same care in their actual repairs and that made the experience very pleasurable. I got the sense that they are very honest and take great pride in their work and want every customer happy. Don’t hesitate to go there.

compared Acura Dealer price and here to replace broken fog light. This business was $ 200 cheaper then the dealer. They replaced the fog light in a half hour, which they had to remove the front bumper. Amazed at their fast speed and the best price. The manager Ray Wong was great to deal with.

Had my lexus repaired here a year ago. Very unhappy with their service, they did a lousy job. Brought it back a second time for them to fix the problem but when they fixed it; it was only a temporary fix smh, service sucks!

Just receive the car back on Wednesday 08/​12/​2015. These guys went above and beyond! We brought the car in just to fix a damage door and when we received it back the car was all polished up looking brand new, they cleaned up the whole entire car and clear up the head lights with no extra charge. I wish I would’ve taken a before and after picture to show everyone how much of a difference they made. You will not regret bringing in your car here. These guys are trustworthy and I highly recommend this shop.

Can’t say enough good things about these guys. Mike and Ray at Bay Bridge Auto Body are the best. I hate to admit that i have been here probably more times than anyone should, but they have fixed both of my cars perfectly each and every time. They are friendly, courteous and professional and have a great lounge/​customer area where you can wait if you’re having something minor done/​adjusted. They even gave me rides home on numerous occasions when i didn’t have someone to pick me up. These guys truly go above and beyond to make sure that your car gets fixed quickly and correctly. I usually lease vehicles which have to be repaired to strict standards, and these guys nail it every time. As long as i live in the bay area, i will always bring my cars here for repairs… and recommend them to all my friends.

So, I got into a car accident. A truck backed into me and messed up my little Hyundai. The guy driving the truck, admits fault, and then we begin this insurance fiasco with his insurance carrier, Fred Loya. Fred Loya arranges my car to be taken from SJ to Bay Bridge in Oakland and that’s probably the only silver lining in this story. Fred Loya was rude, difficult to work with, unresponsive and just outright unprofessional. Luckily, Bay Bridge was the complete opposite. The gentleman dealing with this handled the issues with Fredy Loya with grace. They communicated with me, constantly. Let me know when my car arrived, called me anytime they got a call from Fred Loya, let me know when an adjuster came out to see my car, what the adjuster said. They have been a tremendous help through this horrible ordeal and reassured me that while my car was there it was in great hands. They were even kind enough to drop off my personal belongings from the car, to my home in Tracy. Now that’s 5 star service!
I would highly recommend Bay Bridge to anyone, any day.

Getting ready to sell my 2010 Honda Accord, but the car had a few scrapes and dings that needed to be taken care of, so I gave Baybridge autobody a call and spoke with Ray… He had me send him some photos right there on the spot, and not only give me the most honest recommendation ever, had me come in, buffed out the blemishes, and had the car looking like new, all for free! Yes, it was a 20 min buff job, but to do that for a new customer?! Beyond Awesome!
I will definitely be coming back for any other work, and recommending Bay Bridge autobody to all my friends, family and colleagues!

There is not enough words that I could use to say how great their service and work is and was! They were all so helpful. They made it painless. They worked with State Farm. After filing the claim they did the rest! They kept me up to date on each step. Dino was my main contact who was friendly and professional. Mike was helpful and kind made sure all the needs were met. The shop guys did beautiful work flawless!
I will go out of my way to recommend them as well as come back if I ever need service!

This IS the place you want to get your auto body work done! Professional, courteous, friendly staff. They have a comfortable, and clean waiting area for customers, with a television, water and coffee-​nothing fancy, but not a bad spot if you have to wait. They worked with my insurance, fixed the car quickly and gave a really nice wash down before I picked it up. The repair was outstanding! They even fixed the paint damage on my door handle that wasn’t part of the accident. Great job!

I got rear ended and they fixed my truck in 4 days.
Plus, detailed the inside and outside of my vehicle.
Plus, again, they repaired a minor flaw in my front fender from a previous fender bender.
