Bill & Bill’s Body & Fender Shop

I was turned on to Bill & Bills through a referral by Mostly Mustangs, located in Oakland. I was looking for someone to take care of some significant rust issues that I had on my classic Falcon convertible, and wanted to find someone that had a working knowledge of these cars. Since they are ‘sort of” like a Mustang, and I could tell right away that the structure of the vehicle wasn’t foreign to them (like some folks I spoke with at other shops), I thought I would give them a shot at repairing it. I knew that it would be a challenge to repair the specific are of concern, since those parts are not manufactured anymore and some custom fabrication would be necessary.
Paul, the owner, was very easy to work with and was able to get to work on my vehicle in short order and gave me a plan on what repairs that he thought needed to be done. I had a couple of special requests concerning the repair, and he was more than accommodating. He even gave my wife a call while I was out of town and gave her an update on the progress of my repair and that the rust was more extensive, once they dug into some hidden areas. However, he assured her that we were still within budget and that it might take a couple of extra days since some parts needed to be made.
I am happy to say that my vehicle has been repaired thoroughly and professionally, and I would not hesitate to take any of my classic vehicles to him to have them repaired or repainted.
Here is the last bit of news concerning my repair. I knew that my repair wouldn’t be an «inexpensive» repair (rust repair rarely is), but I have to admit that I was very pleased at the cost of the repair and sincerely believe that had I taken it to a different shop, the repair wouldn’t have been as complete, would have cost more money, and would have taken a lot longer.
This is not a «high volume» shop, where they move them in and move them out, and your car is «just another car». These guys really enjoy what they do and want to make sure that they do the job right, and make you feel right at home and aren’t going to cut any corners, just to get it «out the door».
