Bank of America

One of the worst banks I have ever experienced. My daughter came in because of a recurring transfer problem that has been going on for 10 months. After trying three times to fix the issue, without success I personally came in for a a fourth time. I was a little angry because of their incompetence. I was treated with such disrespect and hostility that I am still shocked at such behavior. I did not threaten the banker but because I showed my discontent he offered to bring in the supervisor. He treated me even worse. He did not allow me to explain the situation. Instead, he threatened to call the cops and ban me from this agency if I did not leave right away. This display of unprofessionalism is unacceptable and it was a traumatizing experience. After 15 years of being a loyal costumer this experience has forced me to change banks.

B of A has been my bank since I got outta high school, or since when I had any actual money to put in a bank! I only picked B of A cause Mom and Dad banked here and whatta ya know when you’re 18 years old? This branch location right here in Montclair Village has been my home branch for years and I remember friendly tellers and nice people to set up my investment portfolios… just kidding on the portfolios… heh heh! Parking has always not been the greatest depending when you go and now it seems a total pain as is most of Montclair Village. Thank god for online banking! I don’t actually have to go into the back that often and this branch. I think all the tellers have changed over, faster changing in recent years even more. I know B of A is a big corporate bad guy, but I need the convenience of multiple locations in different states as I travel a lot for work. I’m in Nevada often and B of A is right there. I’d love to switch to a more local bank, but the branches are just not there all over. So far no big issues, like them losing all my money or anything, but I’ll stay here till a better offer comes along … I hear you used to get a toaster or something to open an account! I did get a B of A credit card and they did give me $ 200. Better than a toaster!

One of the slowest banks here in Montclair. Only one teller … Always one teller and at least 5 – 6 customers in line.

Terrible service. I waited in line for 20 minutes with only one teller. Also they turned away at least 10 people after me and said the teller assistance will be shut down for one hour while the single teller is on lunch break. Really!!! This is all while three other bankers sat at their desks behind computers with no customers in front of them. Fire the bank manager immediately! I have run a retail organization and never seen such bad service.

Super poor customer service. 4÷23÷15. 1:00pm, walk into the bank to see a teller, there are no tellers behind the counter. Perplexed, turn around and see 4 employees at different desks. Then one addresses me. «There will not be a teller until 2pm.» What? Unbelievable! I make it a point to only address the best on Unilocal,but since there is such poor management here and it is difficult to reach corporate at B of A, this seems to be the best alternative. How long were they without a teller at the branch and can’t a manager provide teller service in their absence?

Very nice friendly staff.

Customer for 5 years, walk in to speak to a manager about unwarranted fees and I was told that «a manager wouldn’t be available this week». I canceled my accounts with BofA and walked down the block to Bank of the West. They have a manager on duty every day…

Well lit ATMs right in front, with plenty of parking on the street and in the Lucky supermarket. There’s also an ATM in Lucky incase you don’t need to do alot of banking.
Please note, if you arrive near the closing time, you will be told to do your banking at the ATM, so please have your stuff ready BEFORE you get in line. Although the doorway is covered, a rainy day is not fun to stand around at as everyone watches you insert your checks and calculating all much you want to take back out.

The only place I like to do my banking.
It’s a very convenient spot since I work right across the street, but the staff here is very friendly and effecient in what they do. I’ve never had a problem here, which is something I think everyone looks for in a bank.
This particular BofA is never too busy to the point of frustration and the staff is always willing to help, never making you feel as if you’re taking too long or asking too much.
OH! And the security guy, an older gentleman, is really nice!

I’ve been with Bank of America for years, and this banking center is the reason for it.
They work so hard there and they really seem to know what they’re doing. I tried with three different banks to get an estate account set up for my late Aunt and they were the only ones that seemed to have a clue what I was even doing. They were real lifesavers.
