Cat consistently gives me the best cut. Tried a few other places after seeing her a few times. No comparison. She is simply the best stylist I’ve ever been to. See you soon!

I needed a new stylist and found Cat through Unilocal.She is amazing. At first I was kind of hesitant because we have such different personal styles. I wanted something that was kind of edgy — definitely not matronly — but that would be OK at work in a high school. I am middle aged so I definitely did not want one side shaved. cat has given me the most beautiful buttery blonde long pixie with bangs over the eyes. I get so many compliments on my hair. My students tell me I look «downtown» meaning someone who lives on the Gold Coast. Her prices are about one half to one third of what I would pay at a downtown salon. I have been to some of them and their stylists are not nearly as good as Cat. Plus she is just a really nice person who is really in tune with your needs. If you don’t want to talk there is no chatter. If you do, she is all ears. Note: she is now back at Mistress of the Arts.

What can I say. I followed Cat from Mistress of the Arts, and she’s always been amazing. Getting an appointment with her by chance was one of the best things to happen to me (and my hair!). I always ask her opinions with what to do whenever I go for a cut and color.
And she also doesn’t judge me too badly when I come in after a less than perfect dye job. (LOVE YOU, CAT! :D) She’s super helpful, too, when you ask her opinions and suggestions on how to style hair.
And she’s sweet, fun, stylish, and all around genuinely awesome human being. Totally recommend her — ⁵⁄₅ :):)

Cat is the most creative, sassiest, edgiest, sweetest hair styler that has ever laid their scissors on my hair. She definitely knows what you want when you just hint her a few things. She recommends great cuts and makes you feel comfortable when it is a totally new style that you have never tried before. She has been my stylist for the past 7 years and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Cat’s where it’s at! I was so tired of my bob and all of it’s variations. Cat showed me picture of a really cute, very short haircut. It was a little bolder than I originally wanted to go, but my instincts told me that Cat knows what she’s doing. I’m so glad I took the leap. This is the cutest summer haircut! I walked out feeling great and ready for some summer! The salon is also super cute, funky and comfortable. I enjoyed chatting with the other ladies in the salon. Redrum is friendly place with a great vibe, and Cat works wonders with scissors. It’s a winner!

I also found Cat through Mistress of the Arts and it turns out that she knows one of my friends. What a small world. Anyway lol I got my hair cut with her and it looks amazing It’s like she knew exactly what I wanted Layered perfectly and textured just right. Another positive review for Cat which is well deserved. I too found her first at Mistress of the Arts and followed her to her new (super cute) Oak Park location. She is very talented with cut and color and can do exactly what you ask, but also offers helpful tips and suggestions. She’s also awesome about responding quickly via phone and email which is a huge plus. Great stylist!

I would give Cat more stars if I could. I have never gotten this many compliments on my color and cut before. I love Cat’s new quaint location on Harrison St. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a GREAT stylist.
