The cards are very nice. Very pricey but worth it for a special card. The staff are in need of customer service training. Smile. Thank you. You’re welcome. Basic training.

I scheduled an appointment to review potential wedding invitations and accompanying materials and to get pricing on my selections this past week. Upon walking in for our scheduled appointment the two employees were hanging out in the back room. Once we were finally greeted, we were told to look through the books to see if anything caught our attention. The space was extremely tiny and made for a less than ideal viewing experience. With three people and a dozen plus swatch books, it was cramped and very hard to scan their vast selection. The employee facilitating our appointment left us to our own devices and offered very little guidance when we told him the style we were looking for. Once we had picked out a potential invite we asked to get a quote and were give a very vague idea as to what the pricing might be. When we asked about the accompanying paper goods such as a menu, program, we were told that there wasn’t anything that would match our preferred invite but there were options. These options were never presented to us so I am not even sure how he quoted us for these items. Needless to say it was a very off-putting experience and one in which I will notbe returning for.

I love the card selection but I was not impressed by the staff. They were not very friendly or helpful. It is possible it was just a bad day. This company has some of the most beautiful cards.

I am a self-proclaimed card junkie, and Papyrus is my favorite card pusher. They not only have a vast selection of the most exquisite cards you’ve ever laid your eyes on, but they also have a nice selection of random gifts to go along with said cards. Sometimes I find a card that I simply can’t leave behind, and I purchase it, regardless of whether or not I have a recipient in mind. Sure the cards also come with a hefty price tag(the cheapest card I’ve seen is $ 3.95), but they are little works of art, well worth the investment. These aren’t the type of card that I would throw haphazardly into a child’s birthday gift or affix to a gift whose recipient does the requisite glance at the card before tossing it in the trash. I reserve a Papyrus card for someone who is as out of their mind for cards as I am. Noteworthy: Papyrus also does made to order invitations and personalized stationary, if that’s your fancy.

I wandered into Papyrus looking for a Mother’s Day card. I was looking for something over-the-top funny. In my mom’s opinion, that means sock monkeys or cats drinking margaritas. Unfortunately, I didn’t see anything like this, but there was a huge selection of very pretty, embellished, Mother’s Day cards. Papyrus is for the person whom you know will keep the card. So I’d shop here for my best friend or mom, but that’s about it. The cards are meant to be keepsakes, not trash.

I was disappointed by this location considering it is the only one in the area and is inside of Oak Brook Center. The square footage is quite small although it is next to Burberry and across from Tiffany. The number of cards for all occasions are still plentiful compared to other stores, but they are physically located much higher and lower as well as tighter between each section. You also have to walk around their displays which can be cumbersome if there’s anybody else in the store. There is a small table in the back for invitations/special orders. There was only 1 staff person in the store, so it seemed like this was by appointment only. They had a small selection of boxed cards(thank you/moving/blank) in the back and a few gifts in the front. Due to the limited space and selection, I was more inclined to leave than to browse. The Wheaton Town Square location is much better.

When I am in need of a special card, this is the store. There is a huge selection of every type of occasion card you might need and they are not«ordinary» looking. The cards have unusual and creative designs. Also a large selection of wrapping paper and, of course, gift bags and tissue paper if wrapping is not your favorite pass time. If you need quantity, there is also a selection of boxed cards. Looking for a card the person will remember? Shop here!
