Sweet Katie Bee’s Cupcake & Coffee Bar

This place is so cute and the staff are friendly buuuut neither I or my boss were excited about our food. I had broccoli and cheese quiche and a chipotle turkey panini on a pretzel bun and she had the same sandwich with the corn chowder. The quiche was really dry, bland, and dense. Everything that quiche is not supposed to be. It really tasted like a clump of unsalted broccoli. I couldn’t taste cheese and maybe a little of the potato crust. This poor 3 – 4 year old boy was sitting across from us and his mom was trying to get him to eat it and he didnt want to… poor thing lol On the turkey sandwich, it was just plain as well. My boss said she didnt taste anything chipotle on her sandwich. I thought it was because i nixed the chipotle mayo on mine but she had everything on hers and said her corn chowder was «interesting.» I also had a chocolate cupcake which was okay. Ive def had far better cupcakes in St. Louis. The owner was really nice. She asked how my food was and i told her i wasnt impressed with the quiche and she gave me a card for a free slice or half sandwich if I came back which was a nice gesture and great customer service in my eyes. I think this place has potential; however they def could use a revamp of their menu items. When you have a limited menu, you have to make the few items you have memorable and this just didnt do it for me.

Neat place that I had never heard of until a few days ago. I have lived in Missouri the past couple years and don’t get to come home as much as I liked so I don’t get to try many of these little gems on the East Side. Glad I found this spot.
I’m a huge espresso aficionado and needed my fix Saturday afternoon and found this gem. I originally was coming in to grab a drink while I did some work, but decided to get a salad as well, I ordered a half size of the Mixed Green & Apple. Solid salad and pretty light. I was more excited about the mocha. It was very good and had really great flavor to it. I’m used to STL coffee shops, but when it came to this mocha it could hold its own vs some of its peers across the river.
If you are looking for a nice place to chill and relax or even a place to grab some coffee and do some work, then I’d recommend paying Sweet Katie Bee’s a visit. Looking forward to another mocha next time I’m in town and maybe I’ll also grab a cupcake :)

Super cute bakery. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My coffee was perfect the baked good looked and smelled amazing as did there other menu items. Will be back when in the area

The cupcakes were cold and hard due to being refrigerated and the cake was very dry. Their quality should either be drastically increased or prices drastically lowered.

Yummy food! Coffee is great as well (i drenched it in their homemade caramel) unfortunately their prices are quite high and i have had rude customer service

Have never had a coffee or a cupcake or muffin… well I’ve never had anything that I didn’t like here. Besides the food though, it’s the people who work here that make me want to come back time and time again.

Tried Sweet Katie Bee’s for the first time today. The food was very fresh, well prepared, and delicious. I love the fact that I can get a gluten-​free sandwich and soup. The staff weren’t very friendly and the noise level was way too loud for such a small space.

We love this place. Katie, Beth, and the rest of the SKB family are wonderful folks. This is the type of coffee shop where when you walk in, you are greeted by your first name. For us, because we order the same thing, we are asked if we’ll be having the usual. Since having our second child, we don’t come up here as often as we used to, but we love it nonetheless… It’s just too much trying to keep a four year old and 11 month old entertained:) Make it a point to check it out; you’ll love it:)

Loved the cupcakes my brother brought home. I got a sip of his Jackson B which tasted good, and if you want a detox this drink is for you. For six mini cupcakes and a smoothie it costed him 17 bucks which includes tax. Sine it’s organic and gluten free it makes total sense. He told me the customer service was great and he felt welcomed. Will come again for more cupcakes and coffee!

The working girls were sweet, and the cupcakes looked sweet. Chill décor and vibe. Iced coffee wasnt bad but the ice was too runny and melted instantly. Nice place. Cute name too.

Oh my word. What a gem. Super sweet workers, awesome environment, cool atmosphere. Also, fantastic homemade cupcakes. Will definitely be here again :)

I received a mini cupcake take out box from a friend for my birthday. Oh my goodness! I’m taking my husband and daughter for a sweet treat very soon. They had my husband at maple bacon. It’s also reassuring that everything there is as local as they can get! When my mother cones into town I’m going to show her the beautiful gluten free treats! 5 stars.

A little pricey but so worth it. I got six mini cupcakes an a Jackson b smoothie (their green smoothie) and it was a little under $ 20 but it totally made my day 20 times better. The smoothie was delicious albeit a little small (or I just drank it exceptionally quickly because it was so yummy) and all the cupcakes were to die for. It’s going to be tough to not come here frequently to splurge on delicious goodies.

Chic & clean with delicious cupcakes! The staff was friendly, the interior design modern and cakes were great! I was not impressed with the pricey latte I ordered but other than this is a great coffee stop, for lunch or for a quiet space– with indoor and outdoor seating. They will also box up cupcakes with ribbon as a gift, I love that idea– I’ll definitely be a repeat customer.

I was really impressed when I stopped in here for the first time today. The environment was very quaint. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even let me try a sample of their organic & homemade caramel before they made my drink with it in there. It was delicious by the way. Their mini cupcakes not only look good, but taste good too. They’re the perfect size to have as a small treat. I’ll definitely come back soon to try their other drinks. The Jackson B smoothie looked interesting. I’m going to try that one next time I come in!

Sweet Katie Bee’s is adorable and delicious! I had a birthday lunch there with my granny. They have us two mini-​cupcakes for free because of my birthday! The salad and soup I had were front scratch; I loved the French pumpkin-​tomato so much I asked for the recipe! It was the best tomato soup I’ve had before-​so flavorful and still creamy… can’t wait to go back!
Pros-​organic foods, great décor (hand painted replicas of Van Gogh and vintage chairs, everything basically!), a wide selection of cupcakes, drinks (I had a soy-​chai), and lunch items.
Cons-​limited seating for under twenty people; it was hard for my granny to hear me when it was full. ;)

They are the most polite women ever! Fantastic cupcakes! I had the oatmeal pecan, and it was delicious. I love the fact that everything is organic and tasty!

This place is great. Filled with good non GMO foods, fantastic customer service and real local people.

Love this little place! Small Business that is really paying off! I have to eat Gluten Free because of an allergy and Sweet Katie Bee’s really delivers on GF items! Mainly they have Vanilla or Chocolate cupcakes, but it is the frosting that really makes the cupcakes! Had a GF chocolate with the Mascarpone icing, divine darling, just divine! And now they are branching out with Lunch and Dinner specials that include GF!!! My husband who does eat GF loves the cupcakes also!
P. S. If anyone from the place reads this, more of the GF gooey items! Loved them!!!

My favorite thing here by far was the vegan green smoothie made with vegan yogurt!
My mom and I enjoyed the tasty free-​refill coffee with almond milk. We HAD to sample some mini cupcakes too. Kudos to Katie Bee for offering mini-​sizes so you can try a little of everything. They have vegan options too! Get comfy and stay awhile, because they have free-​wifi to go along with your coffee. Did I mention almost everything in here is organic?! Roar!
