We had a hundred year old oak fall at our tennis club, causing a lot of damage. I called Febronio Tree Service for emergency help. I’ve counted on them before, and they didn’t let me down. Fernando Daniel, the owner, and his crew were on site within 24 hours and had the huge tree cut, chipped and hauled away. Posting on Unilocal seems hardly enough thank you for this fine company, but everyone should know how good and dependable Febronio Tree Service is.

Fernando was great to work with. VERY reasonable rate and did a great job. Honest advice on whether trimming/​removal was necessary. 5^th star for returning to the job at a later date to remove some some remaining roots that were covered when the job was done. Thanks Fernando!

An excellent choice for tree service! After an exhaustive search for a qualified, licensed & insured professional, I found Fernando who understood the dynamic situation of trimming a tree that sits on the property line of two neighbors that are splitting the cost. Fernando gave us deep detail of the tree and how best to trim for beauty and longevity. He also understood our concern of avoiding damage to sensitive roof tiles, nearby windows and landscaping below this 80 ft. Willow Tree that was engulfing two palm trees and one street light. Fernando and his crew showed up early and completed the job in about 4 hrs. While he was there, my neighbor had him tree another willow tree in his yard, which they did in 30 minutes and for a REALLY affordable price.
Their knowledge was tops. Their price was the best. They did what was promised and left a clean worksite.
These guys are incredible and I highly recommend them.

. I of course checked the Unilocal reviews and they were very positive. I asked the owner, Fernando, to give us a quote and he did. Very reasonable for the work we wanted done. I had another tree company give a quote and not only did they not quote me on all of the jobs I wanted done (guess they forgot!), but their prices were out of site! I decided to go with Fernando and I was not disappointed! He not only cut down the trees we asked him to cut down, but he also did a terrific job trimming back some giant elder trees and even cleaned out our gutters!!! Really? Where do you get service like this? Where I ask you? Fernando! I’m really particular about contractors and I usually have an issue about something but not so with Fernando! I have more jobs for them at the mid to end of summer and will call them again for sure! Great job!!!

I have used him twice now. Gives a fair quote and does a good job… even if it takes longer than expected… he gets the job done without asking for more. I highly recommend them. Also when you call there the woman who schedules is very accommodating and friendly. All around a great experience.

Fernando came out to look at our 5 palm trees on a Saturday. He quoted us a price that was comparable to another tree trimmer ($ 950) and with a coupon I had he said he would do it for an even $ 900. He told us they would cut all the dead palms from the tops and smooth out the trunks. Because he was able to come out that week, we booked him! He and his crew arrived on time (even a bit earlier) and within an hour had done so much! Our palm trees were in pretty bad shape (not sure if the previous owners had ever trimmed them) so we knew there was a lot of work to be done. When they were finished, however, there were still some palms that looked like they needed some work. When I asked if they were going to finish the rest of the trees, I was told that «they did as much as they could based on the price they quoted me». Basically, they didn’t anticipate it would be this much and stopped when they felt they had done enough. Considering he came out and saw the trees, I would only expect the job be finished. I totally understand how much labor is involved in cutting down old palms BUT I also do not feel you can just stop midway. I have to say that they do look a lot better (especially the tops!) but there are a few palms that look unfinished.
The next day I emailed Ada, who I also corresponded with, and explained my slight disappointment. I also included pictures to show her the «eye sore». She kindly replied back and said she would have Fernando get in touch with me. Hopefully, after speaking with him, I will be able to change my 3 stars!

Febronio Tree Service did wonders to our back yard. Our yard is mostly on a steep slope and we needed to remove a lot of deadwood and undergrowth. They quoted a day’s rate, due to the amount of anticipated work and difficulty. In my past experiences with manual labor crews, a «day rate» estimate often means guaranteed pay, with little work. This was certainly not the case with Febronio’s! I think we ended up with the better end of the bargain as Febronio’s arrived on time, left on time, and easily did a week’s worth of work in a day!
Febronio’s showed up with a big, capable crew, with the correct tools and safety equipment, and spent the day clearing the underbrush, lifting the canopy of healthy trees, and eliminating dozens and dozens of what I dubbed «weed trees.» They left a number of healthy trees and uncovered some amazingly interesting ones that were previously hidden from view. They chopped and hauled away the debris and left very little trace of their presence (no garbage, haulage tracks, left-​behind branches /​trunks, etc.)
Febronio’s asked questions when necessary and always listened to my concerns and opinions. Like I said, my yard is very steep, and the crew — with sharp and dangerous tools in hand — always put safety ahead of convenience. They worked as a great team, watching out for one another, our family, neighbors, passersby, and healthy trees!
I look forward to the time when I can hire them again!

Febronios recently cut down a huge tree on our property that was sending roots into our pipes. They also trimmed a lot of our overgrown fruit trees. They showed up on time, did a good job, cleaned up after themselves, and gave a reasonable rate. No complaints here.

I called this company that I actually found on the web. I had seen a couple good Unilocal reviews and I felt pretty comfortable using a completely new business. Fernado came out just a couple days later and gave me a very reasonable quote (without any fee to come out and do so) to trim up my big mulberry tree in my front yard. I was able to make an appoitment for the same week, which was great with the season changing so quickly.
Once they were here, I felt very comfortable. They were quick working, and very efficent. I was impressed watching on how well they all worked together with such ease and speed. It only took a short time to get the tree trimmed up and almost better than the tree looking so good is how well they cleaned up. My front yard looked 10x then it had in a long time! They even cleaned out my gutters from the huge mess the tree had made. It was so appreciated.
The two brothers who run this business were very professional and communicated very easily. The woman who you call to make appointments with is very nice, too. I believe the whole business if family but I’m not sure if she is, too. In any event, it was easy to work with them, I was very impressed with the work they did and they were happy to trim a little more on one side when I requested it be shorter.
Their prices were very reasonable, and as I said, they were very efficient. I never saw any of them standing out.
They also chopped down a small, dead tree in the backyard for me and barely charged me much (I did want to keep the wood anyway) and quoted me for the rest of the work I needed in the backyard. I’ll def. use them again. As they were cutting that tree down, one of the guys held my old Pug dog who was getting in the way (I wasn’t even thinking he’d follow them up! WHOOPS!) but when I looked outside and saw the guy petting and loving on my dog, they get lots of extra points for that. Pet friendly is a must in my house!
All in all, I was very pleased with the work and happy to use them again in the future. They make it very easy being a young woman who was home alone– Not at all uncomfortable!
Small side note– They don’t take credit cards and that was the only thing I had to alter. Didn’t have checks so I had to go out and get cash. Not a big deal but I didn’t know that before. I suggest getting the «Cube» for the iPhone. Then they can get charges without any hassle and the receipts can be Emailed or Texted on the spot.

Febronio and Fernando are EXCELLENT. I had them come out about 5 years ago and they did a terrific job then and lucky me — I kept their number handy! All of my bushes and trees were trimmed to MY satisfaction. They came with a bunch of guys, did the job, cleaned up and were gone and the price was very fair. They’ve also done work in two of my neighbor’s yards and they are thrilled as well — I can not say enough good things about this company. You won’t be disappointed!
Oh — one more thing… great office staff. They kept in contact with me re scheduling and promptly returned my phone calls.

Febronio’s crew is still cleaning up at the house that I just bought. I had a landscape contractor checking out my new mystery landscape, and he mentioned that a tree guy named Fernando was working on a job for him just down the street. He texted Fernando who stopped by our place to check out a large oak on the property’s south side that was in dire of need of… something. It had branches in the power line, on our roof, and was growing crooked due to poorly distributed weight. This is a BIG tree. Anyway, Fernando came by and took a tour and instantly put us at ease.
Now, as a new homeowner, I have developed a healthy distrust of contractors in general. For me, the first litmus test is a prompt way to communicate. Febronios has a nice receptionist who called to set up an appointment, and when I left a message to confirm, I received a prompt call back. Professionalism check.
Today, I just went by the house and my jaw dropped. This tree looks soooo beautiful and healthy now. A misplaced juniper was also removed from the backyard, and the crew cleaned up our yucca trees, redwoods, pines and walnuts.
I wish I had a six pack for the crew. they look tired. I’m so grateful.
Total for the job: $ 850! Our neighbor also chipped in $ 250 to get the giant oak manicured.

They came on time, and quickly cut down a tall, old almond tree that had fallen over, including removal of the stump. Fast, efficient, good cleanup, and very reasonable pricing. Would definitely use their service again (would have given five stars, but the scheduling of a definite day/​time for the service was not as good as it could have been).

This company removed a 130ft tall, 12 ft circumference Redwood which was 6 inches away from the eaves of our house. They not only had the lowest bid, but were extremely professional and efficient, completing 95% of the work in one day with a general cleanup that night and a very complete cleanup the next morning. The potential mess and major impact to our yard was minimized and the few plants that needed moving were quickly replaced.
I was concerned about the grinding down of the massive stump, but that was completed right down to the original ground level.

Fernando is awesome! He knows his stuff when it comes to all things green and lush or brown and dead, like my tree.
I had a big ol’ fruitless mulberry tree that fell over and died. This thing was a monster. I needed it removed with the stump ground up and all. I also had 3 hideous tall bush thingies in my front yard that I wanted taken out as well. Fernando came out to scope the job. I was expecting several hundred bucks, and he quoted me $ 500, which was reasonable.
They were very busy so he was unable to get to the job for a week and a half. On the day of our appointment, Fernando wanted to start on the trees in the front before my husband and I were home. I did ask that he wait to do the tree in the backyard until my husband got home to wrangle our three dogs in the house. Two of them are not nice, and one likes to bolt out the gate and never come back. Fernando and his guys went in the yard anyway, and although my dogs didn’t escape, we were surprised to hear that no one was bit. Next time we will be sure to schedule service when we are home.
Bottom line: Reasonably priced and the work was done quickly. Schedule ahead of time since they are busy!

We have used these guys everytime we’ve needed to remove large trees. They were prompt, safe, cleaned up well and gave us a great price! Definitely worth getting estimate from them if you are searching for a good service provider.
