After my first time coming to Dove nails I will gladly say I won’t be back. Although the service was good, I feel like I was being pushed to spend extra money. I went in for an eye brow wax, and was told that I needed my lip done too, after I politely declined I was asked again and told that it was only $ 10 extra, again I politely declined. While getting my manicure, I asked for just a regular pedicure with a callus remover. The woman who did my pedicure was very pushy trying to get me to do the spa pedicure for only $ 20 more, telling me that my feet and legs needed it. Once again I politely declined. Over the weekend I had cracked one of my fingernails, and I simply put crazy glue on it and that worked wonders. When I told the lady giving me a manicure that I just needed a dab of glue to hold my nail on, she responded that would cost me and extra $ 10. I politely declined and said that I would do it a home! $ 10 for a freaking dab of glue! To make matters worse, when I tipped the lady, she told me it was NOT enough tip for her! Seriously?!? I didn’t have to tip at all seeing as the service was far from what I would have expected! That is ridiculous! I really feel like I was being pressured into spending more money than I wanted to, and the people who work here won’t take no for an answer. I don’t like feeling pressured to spend more money, therefore after my experience here, I will not be back!

Wonderful! The people are lovely, the services relaxing and the environment is clean and friendly. My favorite is a spa pedicure– a great value for your money.

Had my first mani pedi ever here @ Dove. The experience was amazing! Though pricey (as i dont know what these cost) the feeling was worth the price.
I was determined to take care of myself today and I was not disappointed. I figure, you have to love yourself and treat your self right.

I have always had good experiences with manis and pedis at Dove. The spa is clean and they have a great selection of polishes. The women are friendly and the guys who give massages are AMAZING. I usually come to this salon when I need a great massage. Paul gave me a 20-​minute neck and back rub the other day. It was truly fabulous. He rubbed out all the knots and sore spots in my shoulders and neck. I felt like a million bucks after. Thank you, Dove! And thank you, Paul!

The services were good but they are constantly trying to up sell you. Constantly. Spa pedicure? Spa pedicure? Spa pedicure? I was there with a friend and they were really pushy between the upselling pressure, rushing to the next service, and hushing us for talking to each other not at a whisper. Massages are very good. They could be really great if they just focused on excellent services that the customer asked for, and stopped being so pushy!

This is a top notch spot. I am a beautiful (people are kind to notice!) well groomed, lovely French woman. I also happen to have Type 1 diabetes. Utmost cleanliness is my goal for each service I get. I don’t compromise. Ever. Dove Spa is the place for me. I am a regular and I encourage you to become one. Here’s my tip: learn to say hello in Korean. Yes, show that you don’t take good service for granted, show that you care, show respect and you’ll see, I guarantee a wonderful service. Here’s a phonetic way to say it: Aniang-​aSeo. Or just Aniang will do. Very simple and very effective. Let me know how you fare.

Really upset to read this nasty reviews! I have been coming to Dove for many years. I have found it to be the cleanest and the people the nicest as well as efficient. Every salon has up charges for additional services. You are not well versed in spas if you don’t ask the price beforehand! The price fora mani pedi combined is best around for the most hygienic spa in FC. Pls do come and see for yourself! PS if you are not in a rush, just let them know you are there to relax. I am always rushing to work, so for me quick is best. They are very accommodating!

I have to say for the price I paid today, I am thoroughly disappointed with the service I received. I came in with my child and asked for 2 mani/​pedis. They quickly rushed through her mani/​pedi and she was done within 15 minutes, which would be fine but not for 25 dollars and a sloppy job.
While I was getting mine done the technician made a suggestion that my feet were dry and needed a callus removal and I said ok, not realizing she was up-​selling me to a spa pedicure. That’s partly my fault as I should have asked if there was an extra charge, however, if I wanted a spa pedicure I would have asked for it to begin with. I didn’t realize I had agreed to it until she started doing the additional work. Slightly ticked off I just went with it. For what I paid, the entire pedicure was rushed. Callus removal was very quick (I probably didn’t even need it) and my cuticles weren’t cut.
The only good that came from this was the massage which was very long, however that’s not what I came here for, and it was also performed by a different person. After she painted my nails she brought me to the dryer and asked me to pay… I didn’t even bother to ask for the manicure, realizing that the $ 85 didn’t include it and I didn’t feel like shelling out more than I just did. I walked out with no manicure and highly disappointed. I do have to say the salon does seem very clean but I’m not sure I would return or recommend to anyone else. If you go you have to be very careful about what they suggest to you.

This establishment has been declining slowly over the past three years. They now have resorted to up-​selling additional services convincing you that you deserve the extra splurge. From the $ 5 keratin socks or gloves to the $ 10 callous remover you need, however if you upgrade to the spa pedicure, it comes with it for an additional $ 40. Or what about the shellac polish that lasts longer? Or the $ 1 top coat that makes your polish not chip? And if your getting a manicure, what about a pedicure. And if your getting a pedicure… don’t have time for that? No problem we can do it simultaneously.
Then there is the extra benefit of a shoulder massage while your drying — with just enough «feel good» so that the masseuse asks repeatedly if you want a chair massage, if that doesn’t work, he insists that you really need one because you are really tight because you work to hard. And if these techniques weren’t pressure enough for you to indulge in, maybe their comments spoken in native tongue to each other will change your mind. I had decided to give them «one more chance» today and all I can say is – at least they’re consistent! Never again!!!

Dove was recommended to me by my hair colorist and I trust her judgment so went to check it out one Saturday morning for a spa pedi and manicure. The issues I had may very well have been because I went on such a busy morning, but regardless…
I was greeted nicely, picked my color then sat in the pedicure chair. The woman did a decent job, though the callus removal was not good. In my experience, spa pedicures always have a thorough callus removal. The pedicure comes with a 20 minute massage which is done by actual reflexologists (exciting!). The issue is that the woman doing your nails doesn’t give the massage. There was a backup in the massage area so she painted my toe nails before the massage! While the polish didn’t get smudged, the shiny top coat became dull from the saran wrap they put on my toes before the massage /​paraffin treatment. I didn’t appreciate that.
Then the manicurist started my hands while I was getting the massage. She removed my cuticles while they were dry, which was painful. She also tried to paint my nails in the dark massage room but I told her that I wanted her to paint them at a table.
The redeeming factor of this visit was the owner who was very gracious and attentive. Bottom line is that I would like to try this place again but will probably go after work one day when it’s likely to be less busy.

Clean salon, always clean tools! Very satisfied with the experience every time.

This spa is wack. Services are meh, usually rushed. The staff, more specifically the front desk, is a horrible combination of cheesey fake and straight up rude. It’s uncomfortable. The regulars are treated really well so don’t be fooled, they’re just like fake fabulous like they live in bev hills.
Last time I went in I had called ahead to make an appointment I was told NO YOU COME IN ANYTIME. So I did and I had to wait! Crazy lady was rude as hell so I walked out and went to Darien.

I’ve tried a few nail salons in Norwalk and even though Dove is a little bit more expensive (about $ 10 more for a gel manicure) I totally think it is worth it for the experience. This place is clean, they open new, sanitized tools for every customer and the massages are amazing. Staff is friendly too. I definitely recommend this salon over others in the area.

I should’ve known better than to stay after walking into to a completely empty salon. The manicure that I was given was just okay. The polish section needs a major overhaul. Many bottles near empty. A few popular, sheer pink Opi colors were no where to be found. I had to do a bit of filing touch up after I returned home. My teenage daughter got a manicure as well. She was very unhappy with the filing and many streaks were left. Tech also asked «me» if my daughter wanted a massage while waiting for her nails to dry. I told her why don’t you ask her? We won’t return.

Love this place for manis and pedis. Great, thorough job! Nicest people. Great color selection.

Establishment — The service is always top notch, and the place is very pretty and dainty. I don’t recommend going sat/​sunday afternoons since it’s packed, but otherwise it’s fine. The owner lady is very friendly, maybe too friendly… lol
Cleanliness — This place puts emphasis on hygiene. Tools are clean and sanitized. everything used on your nails is new or clean.
Quality — Dove always does a amazing job on my eyebrows! This is perfect brow waxing, IMO. They never over wax your brows and leave them natural and clean. In fact, I do my own eyebrows mostly, and will only go here for my occasional eyebrow clean up. Nails are just as good. always done with the upmost attention to detail. In my experience, all technicians are of equal skill and ability. In the winter, there is a nice paraffin wax dip included in manicure.
Payment — Bring cash! ATM charges $ 2 and there is a $ 20 credit card minimum. Tips are cash only. A little more on the pricier side, but worth it.

Worst nail place in Norwalk. Terrible service! The people were not friendly and the mani /​pedi was not relaxing at all. Not to mention the nail polish on my nails and toes started to chip the next day… they didn’t even look professionally done to begin with! I would never go back, they are expensive and it’s the biggest waste of money for poor service. SO glad that I had a birthday gift certificate to use for pay because my own money would not have been given. For what you get it, the prices should be cut by 80%. Don’t buy gift certificates here, speaking from experience, it’s a terrible gift.

Got a bikini wax here (first time ever!) and there were so many stray hairs left that it definitely wasn’t worth the price which was a 55 dollars. The lady was very nice, and made me feel comfortable, though.

So my first experience at dove nail salon spa will be my last. My girlfriend and I walked in and the place was completely empty (I was excited, I thought for sure it would be a nice relaxing experience) we both wanted a toe nail polish change and a gel manicure (aka shellac). First of all the polish change the lady said was so difficult to do… well if it’s hard then get a different job… this is what she does for a living. There is nothing different about my toe nails but I let that go. Moving onto the gel manicure she sped thru the whole thing left air bubbles and didn’t clean off edges before setting it. All in all not a pleasant experience.

Details aren’t really important as to what happened but the concept of *loyalty* is.
If you have been a loyal customer at an establishment since Day 1, and have referred countless people to said establishment, then you expect to be treated nicely, cordially and with respect.
However, when you are treated as if your loyalty does not matter one but and you are merely part of the herd of customers instead, then there is simply no need to return to a business, now is there?
I learned from a very successful teacher of mine — loyalty is an important quality until the day comes when you are mis-​treated. That was a hard lesson for me to learn as I used to overlook the mis-​treatment and continue with my loyalty. But, he’s right.
My relationship with Dove has ended today. Posh down the road is equally as lovely and next to Whole Foods and the magnificent Dean Cleaners for one stop shopping.
