Used to drive past Tsang’s all the time. I’ve even had it a few time a few years ago, chicken fingers were decent, lo mein was swimming in some Mobil 1 synthetic, but I dealt with it. I decided to visit again a couple years later, 2015. What I noticed was a definite pattern of skimping on money, and it’s completely reflected in the taste. Exhibit A: Biting into General Tso’s results in chicken with several hues of color, usually appended to one another with some chicken fat. This is the crummiest of all the thigh meat, and I suppose they think we’re just going to fire the whole thing into our gullets without looking at it. Exhibit B: The sauce on the General Tso’s was of severely low quality, most of these sauces are, though some of them have sesame oil in them, as a flavoring and is important for coagulating the sauce together. But then again, it costs money, so without it, and other proper ingredients, it just tastes like someone added 10 packets of Jell-O to tabasco sauce. Exhibit C: Precooking chicken fingers. There’s two ways to cook chicken fingers. 1. cook them when people order them. 2. cook them all ahead of time and then throw already-battered and cooked chicken fingers BACK into the oil, to get an extra layer of oil soak. Very very obvious. Exhibit D: Dear Tsang’s, canned mushrooms have a weakness, they will always, forever, taste like the mushroom water they have been sitting in for months, in the can. No amount of cooking removes it when you bite into it. If you’re going to use canned vegetables to save costs, put it on the menu. You’re surrounded by local farms. Oh but here comes the Sysco truck! Exhibit E: You can fry food in oil, or you can fry food in lard, which is cheaper to buy. For some dishes, it’s not totally obvious, especially if the next move for some fried bits is to be coated in your Jell-O/tabasco cocktail. However, for delicate, porous items like egg rolls, there’s cabbage in there, it’ll take on whatever flavor is around it. Lard has a very specific pork-byproduct taste that oil does not, not to mention more than 5 times the saturated fat as canola oil — win! Exhibit F: Garbage rice. Yes okay, you order pork fried rice, fine. You people make it with rice, oil, soy sauce and some fatty pork spare rib leftovers, wonderful. Can you spare a scallion or two? how about some beansprouts, which are outrageouly cheap, can you spare some peas maybe? Take a risk! I’m unsure what exactly is happening. Maybe people of Norton think this is all they deserve for chinese food? I don’t know. Maybe I’m just a city slicker now, where decent chinese is present, and a business like Tsang’s would be drummed out of the industry where I’m at. Have some respect, Norton, there’s so much better, don’t buy in to Tsang’s lachanophobia and dealings with the finer points of being less-than-mediocre. Oh, the service is good.

The reviews for this place were pretty good so I decided to give it a try. Walking in felt a little strange. It is not like any Chinese restaurant that I have ever been in. They serve alcohol but there is no full bar. The atmosphere feels kind of «Friendly’s esque» slash breakfast place. After we ordered our food it was ready in about 5 minutes. We also got drinks which were pretty good– Head hunter and a honeydew melon colada. The food tasted like your average Chinese… Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. If this place had a better atmosphere we would have stayed longer. Btw… The bathroom was kind of scary… Like make sure there’s no peep holes/needles scary. But I digress. Food yes. Service yes. Venue NOPE.

Good food, not a long wait at all. And the wait staff are always so nice. Scorpion bowls are a must have every time we come here.

Does not seem to be extremely popular. Been inside this restaurant many times and usually only a few patrons eating in. Even New years had no problem getting a table. I think most people get take out because their food is excellent. The restaurant’s okay with TV’s and friendly staff, but the Pu pu platters are probably the best I’ve had anywhere.

Moving back to town means locating new restaurants to enjoy and rely on. Tony took care of all of my food desires. I will not compare this location to what was in my life these past 20 years. The Scorpion bowl was much better than the Mai Tai. My request to spice up my basic chicken & cashews turned out great. A few more Asian restaurants to check out and I believe this will be the winner.

Where to begin. Tsangs is THE best Chinese Restaurant in the entire Boston/Providence area. Chucky, Tony and the entire team go beyond customer expectations. The food, well I could eat there 7 days a week and never get tired of the taste and selection. Its our family choice!

Consistently great food, great drinks. Not premixed but real Mai Tais, head hunters, etc. the staff is very attentive and do a great job. All in all my favorite traditional Chinese restaurant. When you go check out the wings and crab rangoons they are the best I’ve ever had anywhere.

Can’t say too much about this place. The service was very friendly and efficient, though we were practically the only ones there for a 2PM lunch on a weekday. The food was typical Chinese food but not greasy or overly salty. I enjoyed my moo goo gai pan with white rice and crab rangoon. My daughter loved her non-spicy, by request, orange chicken with fried rice and didn’t eat the egg roll because she couldn’t stop eating the chicken. She liked the broccoli with the orange sauce as well. The restaurant did have tv’s on the wall and the sound was on, which was odd, but it was all very clean and well kept.

I ate at Tsang’s Chinese Restaurant this weekend while visiting family in the area and had a great experience. The restaurant is clean, the servers are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious(and served super quickly!). Three of us had dinner at the restaurant on a Saturday night. We were given water and hot tea as soon as we arrived. After we ordered, our appetizers came out within minutes, followed soon by our main dishes(served family style). Everything was hot and tasty. The dinner combos are a HUGE amount of food, and everything was pretty fresh — not something you always find at Chinese restaurants. We all took home leftovers. At the end of the meal we were given fresh pineapple, fortune cookies, and hot wash cloths/towels. I would eat here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking to get a great meal fast.

I wish there was one near me! This is my usual spot for before concerts at the Comcast center, grab quick food(and I mean quick, the service is great) and it’s not too pricey. Drinks are a little on the small side, but typical for a Chinese Restaurant. Love it! I will be back!

I don’t know what the deal with Boston is, but I’ve never seen such a clean and well decorated Chinese restaurant before! Apparently this is a local favorite for my Boston buds. They come here to get their chinese grub on and most importantly — SCORPIONBOWLS! Scorpion bowls are a delicious alcoholic concoction… yum. They have a good selection of Chinese food. It also met all the requirements of good Chinese food, which is a YAY for them. BUT someone at our table ordered a soup and we never recieved it and we were still charged for it. TSKTSK!

This was a local favorite when I used to live in this area. The food was always very tastey, and orders were served quickly. Very clean inside, but we would usually get take-out. The cocktails were a little strong the couple of times we ate in. That may not necessarily be a problem, depending on your preference.
